Overall, the visit went very well. Like I said, the owner, Jamie came out and gave me his professional opinion and diagnosed my roof / window leakage in about 10 minutes. He spent about 20 minutes measuring the roof for an estimate on doing the whole thing. He did not charge me a dime for anything and shook my hand as he left. I would recommend considering these guys if you have any roof leakage because they will tell you what is wrong within minutes and will tell you how to fix it.

Jamie was on time for the appointment, he gave us a price that was competitive so we went with 4 Guys and a Roof. The crew was here just after the dumpster arrived and were done in 5 hours. Their foreman did a couple of courtesy things for me (at no cost). They did an excellent job. I would hire them again.

It was great. They arrived on time, completed all of the work within a day, and even took care of an issue that was unrelated to their work.

Thank goodness I found Jamie, I was ready to throw in the towel on all contractors. I needed an inspection/write-up for some roofing work I had done by another company (stay FAR FAR away from Mainstreet Construction in Perrysburg). Previously, I had another company out to get the info/report I needed but they didn't give me anything I could actually use. Jamie, on the other hand, showed up the day AND time he told me he would (during his OFF SEASON as well), hopped up on the roof, took all the pictures I need AND gave me exactly the report I need. He's truly someone who takes pride in his business and is quick and efficient at what he does! I look forward to hiring him this Spring to re-do the work Mainstreet so miserably failed at.

The roof of our home had been giving us trouble for about a year. Mostly small leaks, but some loose shingles and mold. We had a few different handymen and roofers working on the roof over the year and all said the roof was at the end of it's life. When we decided to replace the roof, I selected four roofing contractors (from Angies list) to submit bids to replace our roof. Three of the four where close in price and seemed to be top notch. A few days after the we received our copy of the bid from the last contractor a heavy rain storm hit us. The roof failed an we had a major leak in the dining room (under one of the doomers in the front of the house)! More rain was forcasted for the next week. This where 4 Guys stepped up and got the job. All of the other contractors were backed up six weeks or more. Jamie stated that his large crew could and would replace the roof in one day. He checked with other customers who were not in a hurry and as a result could do the job before the next rain was supposed to hit us. Jamie's team showed up at about 7:30 am and hit the ground running. Everyone on the roof and they didn't stop for nine hours! Rocky and or Jamie were on site the whole time and totally involved in eveything that was happening. During the tear off the old roof our attic fan was damaged. Rocky willingly without question replaced the fan with a new upgraded fan. I was (and continue to be) impressed with positive attitude and concern of Rocky and Jamie. The clean up was excellent and the new roof looks great. I'm only sorry that we missed the free gutter and down spout offer! 4 Guys and a Roof have a top rating because they earned it!

I found 4 Guys and a Roof on Angie's list, after having previous quotes from other roofing companies, and ask them to come out and give me a quote. Jamie Wietrzykowski came to the house and gave us a quote and provided us with ways he could save us money on having the old damaged roof replaced with a new roof. Jamie then provided us with sample boards and set up a time to come out and replace the roof. Jamie is a very affable guy and he would come to check out the job. Rocky managed the crew and he was another great guy to work with who was very professional and went over and above to assure a great job. The whole roofing crew were very polite and a happy group the whole time they worked. They finished the job in two days. Jamie then had a separate crew come out and put in new gutters and gutter guards. This was finished in half a day. Overall, there is no better, or more friendly and customer oriented crew you could have working on your roof. In addition, both Jamie and Rocky are the most affable and professional people you can hire to install your roof. Highly recommend this company.

The owner, Jamie Wietrzykowski, responded to our inquiring phone call within a few hours, and visited us the next day, providing the estimate. He was very respectful of our request to obtain two additional bids before making our decision; but, in the long run, Jamie's estimate couldn't be beat. The installation began within 2 weeks after our decision. Instead of 4 guys, there was a crew of at least 8 men who were very respectful and industrious, completing our one-story ranch home in the same day. They took no more than 8 hours to completely strip the old roofing material, repair damaged wood, installing vents, flashing and ice guards, installed a tubular skylight in our kitchen ceiling, and cleaned up every nail and roofing material from our yard. They were extremely careful to not harm shrubbery, thoroughly raking all around the house. Workmanship was awesome.

All my contact with Jamie was via the phone and while I usually had to leave a message he always promptly responded to my questions. We had a few delays because of the weather but Jamie or his office was really good about letting me know. We had a major misunderstanding about replacing the gutters and due to that miscommunication, Jamie replaced them for free. The job was done in one day and pretty much everything was cleaned up. While the roof seems to be completely fine, I was very disappointed in the care the workers showed my home. Someone spilled coffee or pop down the side of my house so I had to get a ladder out and clean that up. Additionally, they tore several screens on my back porch, I assume with falling debris. They also tore screens on my front, back and side windows and dented the trim on my side window. A lawn ornament was broken. They also left dirty, black finger and hand marks on my siding, mostly on the second level of the house. The job foreman came out to view these damages after I left a message for Jamie and he acknowledged that the crew should have used a tarp to protect my house from the falling debris. He advised he would send someone to clean the siding but no one ever came so again I got the ladder out and scrubbed off the marks as best I could. I will probably have to power wash in the spring. Jamie said he would fix the screens but since I have plastic on the back porch, I asked him if we could wait until spring and he agreed. The price was good and Jamie was very professional but I wish they would have taken better care of my house when they were here to do the job.

First the estimate was off by $1,000.00. I should have had the contract signed in hand before any work was started. Then the skylights weren't measured properly so they had to be ordered and it took a week to get them in. I had dirt all over the house from removal of the skylights and then the replacement of the old skylights. I had to clean that up only to redo it once they were replaced with the new ones again. The job went from 1 1/2 days to one week to be finished. The crew had an emergency and instead of telling us something had happened they just left in the middle of working. Communication with your client is very important. They should have called their boss and told him, he should have called us right away and told us immediately. We would have been calm about it and thought OK family emergenies happen. To leave a client hanging without knowing what is going on just isn't good customer service. Then the next time they came to finish up they left for 4 hours and didn't say a word (to go get supplies) I called the manager to find out what was going on and he said they would be back any minute it was several hours later that they actually showed up. By then I lost all credibility in what they say to me.

Jamie was very accommodating and answered any questions we had concerning the project. He and his crew were very professional and friendly which was really appreciated. They did a total tearoff and replacement and the area was so clean it looked like they hadn't been here. I would recommend 4Guys and a Roof for any of your roofing needs. After giving this company a second chance they corrected any issues remaining. I would just suggest that someone follow-up after the project is compete. We felt like we were just left hanging and would have liked to have gone over everything before dropping the check to them. I was disappointed that I was not told they offer free new gutters with complete roof installs. I would highly recommend anyone looking to have their roof redone, take the company up on getting your gutters replaced at the same time. Ours were left slightly bent, scraped, etc. by the roofers, which is somewhat understandable as ripping and sliding off so much old and new material is bound to result negatively with your gutters. Also, do yourself a favor in using or renting a metal detector to go over your property picking up nails. Even though they did a very good job cleaning up and picking up nails, we found hundreds more embedded in the grass, in bushes, etc. No big deal as it was it was kind of fun seeing how many we could find.

The entire process went smoothly. Rocky and crew are hard and and diligent workers. They were awesome! We think they should change their name to 10 guys and a roof;) Jamie was very easy to work with and really made us feel like we were important. I wish there were more construction companies out there like 4 guys! This, hands down, was the best construction experience we have had to date!

They were prompt and did a thorough job. They were willing to come out and meet with our insurance adjuster.

I called 3 companies to get an estimate to have my roof done. 1 company said it would take them 6 days and their price was way out of the park. The second companies' price was ok but they said it was going to take them 4 days to complete. Jamie came out and gave us the best price, and said it will take only 1 day. I really needed this done fast and soon because I have had plans to go away. A week later about a dozen guys pulled up and worked so hard and fast. I think most of the shingles were in the dumpster before they hit the ground. It was unbelievable how organized and great they are at what they do. The whole thing was cleaned up and completed by 3pm. Now I see why they have all excellent reviews on angies list. Not only would I recommend them to someone but I can't wait to recommend them.

The crew was amazing. A crew of 10 or 12 guys arrived at 7 am and started working immediately. They tore off the old roof, put on the new roof , cleaned up the yard and were done by 2 pm. I thought the price was fair and the work done in a professional and timely manner. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Here's a synopsis of my experience with them.When I called to request a quote for my roof, I got sent to voicemail. I left my name and number and requested a call back. Within 1/2 a day, Jamie returned my call. I explained that my home's roof needed to be replaced and that I'd like to get an estimate. The very next afternoon, Jamie went to my house during regular work hours - I was not required to be there, but he offered to do it as an appointment - and examined my roof. When he was finished, he left a very professional packet between my doors which included shingle options (I never knew there were so many) and the estimate for the work to be performed. The quote included a detailed breakdown of work that I never imagined went into replacing a roof like replacing the drip edge, installing vents, using ice guard sweeping the yard with a magnet, and who, exactly, is responsible for sweeping up after the hauling company removes the dumpster. The quoted price from 4 Guys And A Roof was the most detailed and accurate of the quotes that I received. And, to top it off, they were cheaper than the competition. Because of Jamie's knowledge of the types of roofs in the area and the history of how roofs were applied over the span of more than 100 years, he was able to identify my roof for exactly what it was and what would be required to replace it. The other estimates that I received completely missed the mark in this regard. On the afternoon before the work was performed, Jamie made one more visit to my home to show me the color options and discuss what would look good with my home's current and future colors. He also explained and demonstrated how the other roofing companies misidentified the work to be performed in their estimates. I left for work at 6:45 on the day the roof was installed and I returned at 4:30. The only evidence that they had been there was a brand spanking new roof on top of my house, leaf-rake marks on my lawn, and a small pile of debris (smaller than a dustpan full) on the driveway where the dumpster had been. There were no little corner pieces of roofing laying around. There was nothing in or under my bushes that would indicate that anyone had ripped off my old roof and filled a dumpster with it. There were no nails in my driveway. There were no marks on the rain gutters from ladders. Just a pretty new roof.
