I have already picked up the things once so that the city would remove everything. The city will not pick up this stuff from my garbage can. It's the landing and stair treds, so it's wood, it's not light, and some of it is metal. The city would like me to place everying in storage boxes. The street is very hilly, so I would have to box everything and move it down for pickup. So, I have to go to my former home and pick all of the materials up and pay the city to remove it. I have called this company and have been nice about it. They owner says I'm lying and that since I'm not living there that people around are using it as a dump. The company had left lights on in my home--and to leave lights on in a home that had been burglarized is something you just do not do. I would really just like for this company to return to pick up the materials that they left behind so that I can move on. I have called these guys 3 times. The first time they said they would do it. The second time they said they would check on it. The third time they said they didn't think it was their material. My most recent call to them was in 2010. I would really like to have this resolved so that I can move on with my experience. They were there to change the locks on the home the day I called after the break-in. They put extra window locks for me the second break-in. Some of the employees, however, were not considerate (lights and things). I understand from the police department that they didn't pay attention to how I told them to turn off the alarm, so I nearly was charge Window: A Door: C -The door people were the ones who left the lights on. Trash- F Pricing- Fair They did not bill me to remove stuff. I offered to pay them extra to move stuff. The contract doesn't say anything about removal, just replacement. But the trash has been there for three years and it's disgusting.
Description of Work: I contracted them to replace a kicked-in back door in July 2009 after I had been burglarized. The last work they did for me was in September 2009 after I had gotten a grievance for water damage so that I could replace the stairs in the basement. I was charged for labor and materials, but they never threw away the old materials. They left it lay in my back yard. You don't leave materials taken from someone's home outside. That just leaves room for others to come and steal your belongings. I spent $1000 on a replacement window. I believe I spent over $1500. The $230 was for the replacement materials for the basement.
