They arrived on time and went straight to work. Answered all our questions, cleaned up everything, and showed us what came out of the vents. Lots and lots of dust, pet hair etc.... When they left the house smelled fresh and clean. I highly recommend them.

We built our house 14 years ago and the air ducts had never been cleaned.  The house seemed very dusty so I thought maybe I shoud try getting the ducts cleaned.   The number of holes drilled in the duct work actually surprised me!   There are so many!  The other thing I didn't expect was the loud sound of rushing air from the furnace after they were finished.    My husband was able to correct that - but he shouldn't have had to.  It has been a few weeks since the cleaning and I am not sure I see much of a difference in the amount of dust I am cleaning off of the furniture.  I am not sure I will ever do this again.

Excellent experience from the start. The owner, Steve, took my initial call and took time to explain the entire process for cleaning the ducts. I have lived in my home for 16 years, I own pets and have never had this service before. Steve assured me that this service would make a difference in the hvac in my house. They scheduled me for a convenient date with a window for the service to start of about 2 hours. The day of the service, Jason and Lee called to let me know they were running early on their schedule and they were actually able to come to my house a little early.  They were professional and friendly. After a brief tour of the house to identify all the ducts and cold air returns and the furnace, they started right away. It was a rainy day, but they made sure not to track dirt or mud into the house and even wiped up the area around the door before they left. They took the time to explain all the process and made sure that everything was working properly before they left. The cost for the service was exactly as quoted. No hidden charges or surprises. The whole process took a couple of hours. Because Steve did such a good job explaining what was going to happen on the initial call, I felt totally prepared for the work.

I was completely satisfied.  The price was a little higher then the rest that I called but I went with them because the other companies just would tell me their price but, I think his name is Steve, told me the price then asked do I have a couple minutes so he could explain everything that his company does.  No other company did that.

They came on time and went over everything they were going to do. It took around 3 hours and the dust level in our house has gone done. It also has helped my sinus problem clear up a bit.

The technicians Jason & Lee were efficient and courteous. The following week, we even received a thank you letter form the owner of the company.
Needless to say, the next time that we need this service done, we will definitely use Hi Tech duct Cleaning.

They did a great job. We'd had the master loo remoded so there'd been a bit of contruction debris in the lines and a couple of months back, the wife'd left a pot of chicken bones in one of those old kettles cooking while we went on holiday. When we returned the slow cook fire had formed some sort of noxious compound that had the house to reek for a week. I had to change the filtre every other day as it was covered in a metalic-soot that smelled worse than H2S04 gas.
Anyroads, it was good to get that mess out of our ductwork and the kids are already breathing easier and the sinusitus that we'd all been suffering from has already dissipated after a couple of days.
They did a cracker job and were a lot more thorough with respects to cleaning every speck of debris from around the registers - unlike the last sods that'd done the job a year ago where we had to go around and vacuum up around the registers to get the remains up.
Hi Tech also came down about $100 from their original quote - which was nice as usually the way of it is to walk away with more'n what was originally quoted.
I can definately recommend Hi Tech to anyone and will use their service next time!

I scheduled Hi Tech Duct Cleaning to clean my dryer vent and to clean my air ducts.  The technicians arrived at my home promptly. I asked that the dryer vent be cleaned first.  The technician found wet lint in the dryer vent, and he decided that it needed to dry before they could clean the dryer vent.  We put a fan on the vent to aid in the drying process. The two technicians worked throughout the day to clean the air ducts.  I assume that the vents were cleaned, but it is not really something that one can see.  At 5:15 P.M., the technician told me that they would be unable to clean the dryer vent because it was too compacted with lint.  He also told me that the job was too difficult for them, and that I needed to contact my heating and air conditioning company, because they would be the only ones who could ensure that the duct work would not be damaged during this difficult clean-out.   I was shocked when I learned this.
It was too late to call my HVAC company, so I knew that I would have to call them first thing the next morning.
That night I went to set my security system, and at the bottom of the screen there was a message, something along the lines of, "AC Not Active."  I didn't know what that meant, so I pulled out the instruction manual, and the message meant that the main power supply was off for the security system.  I went downstairs to see if I could determine what was happening (where the security system is located).  I could not locate the power supply/cord to the security system.  I then decided to check the downstairs doors which lead outside.  One was unlocked.  My husband then came downstairs to see if he could find out why the security system was not connected to the main power.   He looked at the electrical panels, and he discovered that the circuit breakers were off for the security system, along with the circuit breakers for a refrigerator/freezer and the air conditioner units.  These were all on separate circuit breakers, and each was labeled as to what it was.  The security system is labeled as such, and it has it's own circuit breaker.  My husband and I were very concerned.  We decided to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department so that they could keep an eye on our neighborhood.
I called Hi Tech Duct Cleaning the next morning (Wednesday), and I spoke with the owner.  He told me that he would speak with his employees concerning the circuit breakers being turned off.  He said that sometimes the employees turn off the security
system if they think that the air duct cleaning would set off the alarm system.  I asked him if his company had a protocol for turning off the security system in a residence.  He said no, that it would be determined on a case by case basis.  I asked him if his employees were checked for criminal records.  He said yes, and that both employees, who were at my home, had no criminal record.   He said that he would speak to his employees, and he would call me back on Thursday.
I also spoke to the owner concerning the dryer vent not being cleaned.  He said that dryer vent cleaning is not his business's main focus - the main focus is air duct cleaning.  He also told me that I should contact my HVAC company.  I told him that my HVAC company was J.J. Smith Heating & Cooling, and he was familiar with the company.  He told me that I could also contact Dryer Vent Wizard, though he was not that familiar with their work.
On Wednesday, October 17th, my HVAC company owner returned my call, and he told me that he does not do dryer vent cleaning.  I told him what had happened with Hi Tech Duct Cleaning.  He recommended that I try another dryer vent company that specializes only in dryer vents.  I also spoke with him about my circuit breakers being turned off.
On Thursday, October 18th, I called Dryer Vent Wizard of Greater Cincinnati.  I called around 10:00 A.M.  Adam, the technician was at my home shortly after noon (12:00 PM).  He had the dryer vent cleaned and he was pulling out of my driveway in less than 45 minutes.  Adam, the tech, was great.  He thoroughly explained everything, and he told me if I had any problems or concerns that they would return free of charge within the next six months.  He did say that the lint in the vent was damp, and that when I run the dryer, that new lint may cling to any small damp lint that may remain in the vent.  I asked him if his company could have removed the "stoppage" if they would have come on Tuesday (the day that Hi Tech came) as compared to Thursday.  He said that his company would still have been able to clean the dryer vent.
On Thursday, the Hi Tech Duct Cleaning owner called me to report back after speaking with his employees.  They forgot to flip the circuit breakers back.
So, bottom line on Hi Tech Duct Cleaning, and my advice to them:
1.  Always tell a homeowner when you are turning off their security system, for any reason.
2.  If you are going to turn off circuit breakers, turn them back on when you leave.  Your employees left my circuit breakers off.
3.  Re-lock exit doors that your employees have used.  Your employees left my door unlocked on the rear side of my home.  I have a 7500 square foot home, with five doors on the back side of the house.  Because we always leave those doors locked and dead bolted, we would assume that any service provider doing work in our home would also lock up after themselves.  If the security system had not alerted us to the fact that there was a problem, we would not even have checked our back doors.
4.  If you aren't equipped to do dryer vent work in the same manner as other dryer vent companies, then don't advertise yourself as doing dryer vents.  Yes, my dryer vent was clogged.  Your company was unable to clean it.  The other company cleaned it in less than 45 minutes.

Response from Hi Tech Duct Cleaning Inc

"I'm sorry that your member was not totally pleased with our service. My technicians worked for 2 hours on her dryer vent. Dryer vents are the #1 reason for house fires in the U.S. and her dryer vent line was longer and had more than one 90 degre turn in it than what the dryer manufactures recommend. Our recommendation was for her to hire someone to either re-route the dryer vent line or to relocate the dryer so it could be vented properly. (We did not charge her for the 2 hours spent on the dryer line.) My technicians always shut the breakers to the furnace and the AC units off while preforming the duct cleaning. They did miss read the alarm system breaker and shut it off with the AC units breakers. When they were finished with the duct cleaning they turned the furnace breakers back on and forgot to turn the AC breakers back on which included the alarm breaker that they miss read as part of the AC system. They also did forget to lock the back door when they left. I have apologized to your member twice for the oversights of my technicians .They have been reprimanded for not following company procedure by doing an end of project walk through which would have prevented your members concerns. This is an isolated incident and not the norm for our company. The quality of our work was excellent. Our recommendation to address the problem with the dryer was the proper course of action to take, and again, I apologize for the oversight about the door and the breakers. Thank you Steve"

They quoted a guaranteed price upon arrival, stuck to it......... and did a quality, professional job from start to finish.
I CAN 100% tell a difference in the house since we had this done, and the dirt removed would make you really wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
The amazing thing? We have a duct in the walk-in closet that flowed no air what-so-ever......it does after Steve's crew cleaned it!!!
Well Done, Gents!

The cleaner arrived on time, but by himself.  I was told two cleaners would be on site.  He did a good job on the air ducts that he cleaned.  He completely missed the duct in the Kitchen.  I noticed that it had not been cleaned when I returned form work that day.  I called to have the company send a cleaner out to take care of the missed duct.  They told me to just wipe out the vent with a paper towel because that is all the cleaner will do when he comes out.  I was not satisfied with that answer, so Steven said he would send someone back out for a $30 travel fee and an additional $20 for the extra duct.  I ended up taking the duct work down myself and cleaning it with bleach water after Steven said he would have someone out in about 7 days.  I had really high hopes for this company.

"Im sorry your member was not satisfied with our service. He was not the person who hired us nor was he the one who paid us .The company that hired and paid us was happy with our service and said it was not necessary for us to come back and adress your members concerns. There is more to this story than what has been discussed here. Our obligation is to meet the needs of the company that hired us and to follow there directions. Thank you Steve"

Jason and Lee were prompt, professional and courteous.  They went about their work diligently and neatly, without any problems.  When they were finished they explained what they found and remained me of the 10% off for Angie's List customers.  I was very pleased with every aspect of the service from the initial contact to the completion.  I will definitely us the again.

Excellent -- the guys were professional, friendly and efficient. I would definitely use them again. They did a very thorough job. They knew I wanted to see examples of how much dirt had accumulated over time and had been cleaned away, and they made a point to do this. Very fair quote -- and I had several estimates to compare them to competitiors.

Absolutely wonderful job. I had looked at a few different providers, but after seeing the Dateline NBC show on their website, I was convinced that these guys were clearly the best and respected for it. They were definitely slightly more expensive than their competitors, but well worth the piece of mind that the job would be done correctly.

While they showed up a little late, they did call and let me know. Both of the gentlemen that showed up to do the job were very nice and professional. They walked through the home with me and were very clear and upfront about the expected cost. They even said there was a good chance the price might go down once they start doing the job if a few of the vents ran together. About halfway through the job, they reminded me about the Angie's List 10% off coupon - these guys were clearly not out to scam me for the most amount of money they could get.

After the job was done, they walked me through everything they did, showed me what was in my vents, and told me about the dead small rodent that was likely causing a smell on the second story of my home.

I would absolutely recommend these guys - they are great at what they do, and very professional.
