Really happy that he was able to find the out of stock part. Half the oven had been unusable for a year up to that point. Would have liked more frequent communication as to status while he was searching for the part.

They knew what they were doing. In fact, discussed the next piece likely to wear out... Had it on the truck... For another $25, I got it installed.

It went very well. I had a very difficult time changing the water filter in my 12 year old refrigerator. I change it 2x/year but for some reason it was stuck. He arrived on time and although had a little difficult time with it, changed it for me. He also told me that since I live alone, I could go for one year before I needed to change it.

Our repair was done by Chris who was very informative on the problem and as well as how to keep the dryer working well in the future. Based upon our experience, we will definitely switch and use the company for any future appliance repairs.

Our dryer was running but not heating up. We found Alstate on Angie's List and called them Monday morning. We called before they were open, so their answering service took a message. They called us back the same morning and scheduled a service call for Tuesday evening between 5:00 and 7:00. They gave us a $25.00 discount for being Angie's List members. They showed up and diagnosed the problem as a malfunctioning control board. They do not carry the part, so they had to order it. They worked with us to allow us time to decide if we wanted to repair the dryer or replace it. They told us to give them a call if we wanted them to order the part. They were very professional, and did not pressure us to make a decision. We decided to go ahead with the repair, so we called them the following morning. They ordered the part, which arrived by Friday. They returned Friday morning and completed the repair. They were up-front about how much everything would cost, and they charged exactly what they said they would. We will definitely use them again if we need another appliance repair.

This was an amazing service call. Found them on Angie's List a few hours ago and called in a panic. As previously mentioned, the washer was full of water and just died. With two boys getting ready to leave for college and a mountain of laundry that needed to be done, I needed a service call ASAP. They fit me in within hours. Rick Ezer, the owner, showed up at the very beginning of the call window and proceeded to diagnose and fix the problems with lightning speed. He was very friendly and showed me every step of what he was doing. The price was so much better than I expected. I would definitely use them again.

Perfect! Our technician was Chris Ezer. I was impressed on how he worked quickly and efficiently! My refrigerator was brand new and the water/ice dispenser wasn't working correctly. He quickly determined that the water line was kinked below the floor, went out to his truck and had a new water line (we didn't have to wait) and put it on in a timely matter. My washing machine had a part crack on the back of it where the water hooked up to it. When I called the office, the office manager Stephanie took down my make and model of the appliance, ordered the part, and Chris had it with him when he came out to my house. There was no waiting for parts. I had everything fixed within two days from the day I contacted their office. Amazing!!!

I called Alstate regarding our 17 year old Roper dryer that had stopped heating, and was able to schedule an appointment for the following afternoon. The gal I spoke with explained their service rate was a flat fee for diagnosis and repair labor, and the only additional cost would be cost of parts. I mentioned I found them on Angie's list and received a $25 discount off of the service rate. The technician arrived right on time (in fact, about 10 minutes early) and within 2 minutes found that the cause of the issue was the heat element had gone out and the thermal needed to be replaced. Given the dryer is about 17 years old (and was inexpensive to begin with!) I asked if a repair was worth it and he responded "Absolutely, Ropers are like tanks, they last forever, and new machines are not anywhere close to the same quality." (Since the only additional cost was cost for parts, there was no real incentive for him to not be truthful in his opinion.) The cost of the parts (which he had in his truck) was $137, so total cost of service and repair was $248. He had the repair completed in about 30-40 minutes or so, and the dryer has worked great since that time. The technician was prompt, professional, courteous, and efficient. I would hire Alstate again and would recommend them.

Alsate was very responsive and established a time to come to my home to complete an evaluation of our LG washer. They called prior to our appointment time as they were able to move the time forward. They complete a complete review of our washer and provided a quote of the four parts needed to complete the repair. The provided the LG part numbers and a quote for the materials that was quite high compared to what I could find on the Internet for the same materials. I called their office back to see if I purchased to materials elsewhere if they would come complete the repair? They agreed. We set up another date for them to complete the actual repair. They were prompt and courteous completing the repair in a timely fashion. I would definitely use them again.

Very professional - prompt. They even called to see if they could come early due to being finished at previous job earlier. Came in - found the issue, left - ordered the part, called when part was in and then they returned to repair the appliance. No issues. Same tech both times. Very courteous. This was company used from Old Republic Home Warranty and couldn't be happy in their choice..

He arrived early and began work before we got home. Our elderly mother was here to let him in. He installed the garbage disposal and then told us that we are out a dishwasher, half of our sink and the new garbage disposal he just installed until we get a plumber in to fit the plumbing to the new unit. He should have never began an installation he could not finish without our consent. As soon as my partner arrived home he asked her for a hacksaw so he could cut the plumbing pipe which he was holding in his hand. Lowes would have installed this including the plumbing for $125. They will no longer touch the installation or the plumbing to it now that someone else has worked on it. Bottom line we are worse off now and stuck waiting for a plumber to be available so we can use our dishwasher, sink and disposal. Unhappy with the situation doesn't begin to describe it.

The technician quickly identified the problem as a bad circuit board and returned within a couple of hours with the replacement. During the same visit, they recalibrated my ovens--the temperature seemed to be off by about 30 degrees. I was only charged one service fee for both services.

It went fine. He came back 2 days later with the part. It was installed quickly.

I called the company late in the day, around 5:30 pm., on 7/24 and talked to Stephanie. She took down my information, including the brand and model# of my dryer. She told me someone would call me between 7:30 and 9:00 am the following morning. By 10:00 am no one had called, so I called the company back. A different woman answered, and said someone would call me back in a few minutes. Stephanie called back and set up an appointment for the following day, 7/26, between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. I suspect there was some miscommunication at the company office, that I had been overlooked, causing a one day delay. I don't know that for sure, however, and considering the late hour of my original call, I found the response time to be acceptable, despite the apparent miscommunication. The repairmen arrived within the appointment window. They were professional, friendly, and helpful. The dryer drum had stopped turning for me. The repairmen checked it out for me, even though the drum was turning when they started the dryer. The senior repairman (Rick?) showed me that the belt was severely worn. He also showed me the part on which the belt turned. He explained that Whirlpool went cheap on this part and instead of creating a part on which the belt could rotate smoothly, the part was stationary and the belt had to slide over it, causing friction and eventual belt damage. The repairman replaced the part with one that had a wheel on it, and replaced the belt, as well. The work was done quickly and I appreciated that they were prepared with the needed parts on hand. The cost of parts was as I would expect. However, there was one charge for $119.95 labeled "TC and Labor". I can understand that there would be a travel charge considering the cost of fuel these days, but I would rather have had these itemized, including information on the labor rate. That's my preference, there was really no problem with how it was written up or charged and I'm sure they would have explained further had I asked. I did not have a printer to print the Angie's List coupon, so did not expect a discount. I did, however, mention finding this company through Angie's List and was given the $25 discount anyhow. I very much appreciated that. The total bill came to $154.92. I am quite satisfied with this experience and would trust this company for further repairs in the future.

Could not have been better. Although the washing machine, a 9 year old Whirlpool Duet, could have been repaired, (broken bearing necessitating motor, tub, and monkey), they recommended replacement due to its age. Asked them to look at the in-op water dispenser and they quickly determined the line was frozen in the door. They thawed it out. They were on-time, did their work promptly, professionally; were courteous and made sure the area was spotless when the job was complete. Could not ask for more !

Service date was 7/10/13 and appointment window was from 4-6pm. Technician called at 1:30 asking if he could come and do the repair at 2pm instead - unfortunately I could not leave work at that time so we arranged on a mutual time of 4:30 for the services to be performed. At 4:33 I arrived home and the technician had left without any notice of his departure. I called the technician and received no response, I also called the main company phone number and they said it was my fault and the technician had already left for his next appointment and the next appointment was available a week from today. The company was unsympathetic and unaccomadating to either my situation or in making alternative arrangements for an appointment prior to the following week. It sounds like my experience may have been a rare occurrence given the other positive reviews, but the lack of customer service was apparent both from the technician and office manager. Ultimately my appliance was left in disrepair and I was forced to utilize another company.

Called number. Earliest appointment was two days later., set for AM. Agent arrived around 10am. Did not receive advance call to let me know when he would arrive. Agent was courteous. I took down stairs in basement and showed him I had already taken apart the washer. He said he was surprised, because most people don't know how to open the washer. I told him I could probably do the work myself if I had a little training. He said I was almost there with figuring out the problem. He asked me the problem, and I explained the washer would not rinse. He immidiately knew what was wrong. He stated it was the "Lid Switch". and if he had answered my call he could have told me on the phone. I was upset with myself for not figuring it out. I asked if he minded, if I watched and to show me the Lid Switch. He was very patient and unscrewed the switch with an electric screw driver. He made it seem easy. He pulled out the switch to show me it had been cracked and said it was mainly from dropping/slamming and age.. I left him to his repair work. It seems as if it took no time to fix....maybe 15 minutes. He also cleaned the soap/frabric softner dispenser. He called me down to the basement to show me how to pop off the top. I had tried to remove the dispenser top in the past, but was unable to. He showed me how to take it out, clean it and remove excess soup in the small holes of the dispenser and aggitator by using a small tool. We then listened for the "click" or sound of the lid switch. He said we had a good washer (Whirlpool-top load), but our dryer was not so good. He then mentioned the problems service people were finding with the newer models (Maytag). He also gave a couple of other suggestions. When finished he came upstairs, brought the old lid switch and sat down at my kitchen table and wrote up is bill. I asked about the wires on the lid switch and he said he cut them and put in new ones. While talking to him, I mentioned I found the business on Angie's List and he gave me a $25 discount for being a member. This was great! He was also located in Liberty Township which was not far from my area of town (15 minutes). While talking, I mentioned everything seems to be happening at the same time, our kitchen sink, then garbage disposal locked up. He stopped me and asked if the disposal was still locked and I said yes. He asked if he could look at it, then tried to unlock it. He asked questions, then made the remark that if water had been leaking for sometime undetected it could rust the unit over time. Water "had" leaked, and the disposal was not connected properly from a previous sink/pipe problem, but he did not know that information. He said that once the leak happens and the disposal locks up and won't unlock, unless there is something stuck in there, you might as well buy a new disposal because there is no way to take it apart and fix. He quoted me a cost of installing a new disposal and explained what type to get.. He did not charge for looking at the disposal. He did good work and was very knowledgeable. Thanks Chris!

The work was great. They did what they said they would do very promply and professionally and they also fixed an issue that I was having with the tension setting of my door without any additional cost while they were out there. It was a great service and I will call on them in the future when I need garage door work done.

After adjusting the knobs and testing ovens.....I now can still use my old ovens...

My experience was Alstate Appliance Repair was good. They were here when they said they would be, they did what they said they would, and I was happy with what they did.

Alstate Appliance Repair were prompt and they were quick in replacing the part, they brought the part with them. I found the part online and it was much cheaper than the price they got from the dealer and they price-matched the part which was nice.

We were very happy with him. The guy was very professional. It was his first time and he did a good job. It cost us less than we thought it would.
