Mike and son did a professional job for a reasonable price. They were helpful with suggestions when choices needed to be made, and didn't try to upsell me. They were accommodating when I asked for a few small extra things to be done, and didn't ask for more money. I feel like I got good value for my money.

Did an excellent job. Showed up on time and completed the task within the time specified. Work performed as described with minimal mess. Cleaned up their work leaving no loose insulation behind. Work professionally done and provided video of work done in attic so did not have to get up to review work.

Mike and his son, Chris did a terrific job on my 93 year old apartment structure. In planning they went over the options to insulate and helped me choose the most efficient and cost effective way to proceed. They were very careful to cover all spaces around my 42 windows. Not only did they do a great job on the insulation, but they also did excellent repair work on some wooden sections of the building. They really cared about doing a good, professional job. Hard to find today. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Mike and his son were on time and did an excellent job. Mike came out explained what needed to be done and wrote me an estimate. Came back in a few weeks after we had some roof work done and completed the job. Say to wok with, courteous and took great care it’s our property which I really appreciated Would definitely hire Mike and son again.

It seems like it went fine. I am unable to climb up into the attic at my age to check so I have to take his word that it was done correctly. He told my wife he would email me about a recommendation for something I need done to lesson the moisture and heat in the attic. I never received it. *Update* Micheal sent me the photos of his work where he fixed the hole created when the cardboard that was holding the insulation above my stairway ceiling. He did a good job and he sent me a suggestion on what I can do to get better air movement in the attic. Suggested a fan model from Menards be installed by a qualified electrician with both a thermostat and a hygrometer to draw out the excess heat and humidity in my Attic.

Easy to set up estimate. Mike was able to accommodate my schedule by coming out on a Sunday morning which I really appreciated. Did a thorough walk through the attic to see what needed work on. Showed me photos of what he saw in addition to writing up the estimate. Was able to get on his schedule quickly. He and his son showed up on time. Worked all the way through without a break (even though they deserved one!). Very respectful to my house - laid down tarp where they'd be walking through to get to the attic. Cleaned up any loose insulation debris. Finished in the exact time frame he told me it would take. Price paid was exactly what was quoted. Really appreciate their hard work. Would hire again.

Overall, very well! Due to busy schedules, it took a bit longer to get it scheduled, but then that went smoothly. Quote was very fair and he explained the options clearly and provided a clear quote with the options. We realized that due to a closet addition the space was actually smaller than originally quoted so Michael happily adjusted the fee. They were pleasant, showed up on time and did great work. Cleaned up everything after. Plan to hire again for some additional work next spring. Good honest, work.

It went fine. Mike Arick was good about responding to our emails. He and his son, Christopher were very personable and professional and answered all our questions. They showed us photos of the work done in our attic. With the exception of a small amount of debris in the basement, they cleaned up very well after their work. They even built us a proper entryway to our attic. The were easy to work with.

This father and son team are unbeatable!! I cannot say enough good things! They were professional, courteous, well versed in their craft, and go above and beyond. While in the crawl space they found a furnace vent that was not even hooked up! They were kind enough to hook it up make and sure it was secure and working properly. They also took the time to re-route an upstairs bathroom exhaust fan in the attic that was improperly installed. I am pretty sure they left my house cleaner than when they arrived.... :-) It is obvious they take pride in their work! TOP NOTCH!

I really appreciate Mike's attention to detail and professional approach. He called out voids in our insulation other contractors didn't notice and we've been extremely pleased with the immediate impact on our 2nd floor conditioning as a result. Highly recommend.

I received a call the same evening I submitted my quote request on Angie's list. We set up an estimate, and Mr. Arick showed up on time for that. After getting a few more estimates, we hired Arick and Sons to complete the work. They showed up on time and completed the work on the scheduled day. They didn't rush, didn't skimp on materials, and cleaned up after themselves. Another bonus was that the owner and his son completed the work and the company doesn't use subcontractors. Professional, responsive and top notch service by a family team. Their recommendations were very clear and detailed, their quote reasonable (and dead-on with the final invoice) and they did the work with a high degree of quality and care for my home. I highly recommend Arick and Sons Insulation and Roofing to anyone in need of insulation work. Mike Arick and his son, Chris are extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. I first hired them about four years ago and have contacted them a few other times for remaining projects. They have always provided excellent and consistent service. They are friendly, polite and respectful of my home, taking care to protect my carpets and flooring. Tearing out and replacing insulation is messy work and yet, they always leave my home cleaner than they found it. They are very conscientious and hard working and incredible technicians with skill and knowledge that can only be acquired through years of experience and apprenticeship. They are true craftsmen. Their knowledge and understanding is much broader in scope than just insulation which makes them exceptional problem solvers. I highly recommend them.

Due to a large remodeling project, I've been in contact with many contractors recently. With that said, I signed up on Angie's List just so I could leave a review for Arick and Sons. These guys were excellent. They showed up when they said they would (actually 15 minutes early), got to work right away, were pleasant to talk to, and completed the job in a timely manner. I was more than impressed with the work they completed and would highly recommend them for any insulation needs.

Great job. They removed old insulation and installed new insulation - including blowing foam insulation and laying down a new vapor shield. Looks great. Dependable. Mike came out, gave estimate, completed job in timely fashion and as promised. Cleanup - no mess.

We got three quotes for our attic and two crawlspaces. One was overkill, one we felt didn't recommend enough insulation, but Mike was right on with what needed to be done. Price was reasonable and they did thorough, quality work. After beginning the job, he discovered additional attic space over an addition that he hadn't seen initially and insulated it at no extra charge. He was great to work with and the material made a huge difference in our house. Would hire him again anytime.

Mike, the owner of Arick & Sons, was wonderful to work with. We got an estimate of the cost and what would be involved. Mike answered all our questions, pointed out problem areas and made us aware that our bathroom vent, which vents directly into the attic, needed to have a duct/sleeve put around the opening so the steam could be vented to a roof vent. (Another company we got an estimate from never mentioned this.) We like Mike's friendly professionalism and decided to go with him. We were not disappointed. He and his son arrived promptly as arranged, worked all morning long, and finished the job cleaning up after themselves-- even vacuuming up afterwards. I did not have to do a thing as far as clean up was concerned. They blew in green fiber cellulose to achieve R-49. We consider the cost worth every penny. My husband was extremely impressed with the the finished product. We prefer dealing directly with the people who will do the work (this family-owned business), than dealing with a salesmen of a company, who then sends others to do the work. We cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Mike was professional, courteous, and honest. When he came out to give an estimate, I felt like he was generally interested in helping me and was not at all "salesy." He recommended the most efficient, least expensive way to remedy the situation. When Mike and his son came out to perform the job, they were respectful of my house, explained the steps they were taking along the way without being patronizing, and cleaned up when they were done. Overall, Arick & Sons did an outstanding job and exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely hire them again.
