Jerry set two traps in an effort to catch a skunk. He also suggested that we build up some dirt by where we thought the skunk was entering (to get under the steps) to see if we noticed the dirt being disturbed.  He showed us how to open the traps and reset them (in case we caught a cat) - this was useful information as we caught two different cats!  Each day we called him by 9:00am to let him know if we caught anything.  This helped us to avoid a $40 charge.  (he charges $40 if he has to come out and check the traps) - I liked that he had it set up in this way (His cost is lower than other similar companies and I'm guessing this is one way he keeps costs down)
We caught a raccoon and he removed the animal from the premises.  He charged separately for that.  Again, we think he is more reasonable than some other companies.  Since the dirt was not disturbed after a couple of days, we figured we'd put up some chicken wire to keep skunks from entering.  We weren't going to get to that until the weekend, however.  When he picked up the cages he told us to keep an eye on the dirt (in the meantime, until the weekend) and let him know if we saw any activity and he'd bring them back without charging us again for a service call.

I found a  sick raccoon in my back yard that was wandering dumbly around like a zombie and showing no fear of me at all. It was quite upsetting; those are symptoms of distemper or rabies. After calling around to a few companies and getting estimates for removing the raccoon, I selected Jerry of Affordable Animal Control. I chose him because he offered the lowest price, and because he had a good rating. I quickly learned why. He showed up less than an hour after receiving my call, and it took longer for me to fill out the payment paperwork than it did for him to take care of the problem. The raccoon was snared and caged in the back of his truck within a couple minutes of his arrival. It was really nice to have that animal out of my yard, and Jerry handled it like a true expert.

I called company for pricing information.  The owner, Jerry Barker, answered his cell phone promptly while on another job and responded to all my requests.  We set an appointment for next day.
He arrived next day in early morning to set live trap. Jerry Barker is professional and informative.  I felt comfortable immediately in my dealings with him.  Jerry is also a veteran as I.  He's a local service provider who keeps his word and schedule. 
Four animals were captured and picked up each morning during that week.
I had a good experience with this company and recommend Affordable Animal Control to others interested in a pest removal.

Fantastic experience. The price for the chimney caps came in WAY below quotes from other companies.  And Jerry did a fantastic job.  He kept me informed throughout of the price, which I really appreciated.  He came out three separate times to remove various animals, and then came out twice more to install the chimney caps.  Great company and Jerry is very fair, reasonable and affordable.  I will definitely call him first if I ever have any other animal removal needs.  HIghly recommended.

Jerry is the best. I had set trap to catch groundhog under my deck.  My wife called while I was out of town b/c groundhog had been caught.  I called Jerry at 8 am and he was out at my house by 11 and took care of the removal.  He has done this for me a number of times. Highly recommend

We found Jerry on Angie's List and contacted him. At that time, there were still baby birds in the nest. He advised us that we need to wait until the baby birds have flown, otherwise the nest removal process could result in a baby bird stuck back in the air vent pipe. As soon as the baby birds were gone, we contacted Jerry again. He came out, clean out the nest, and put a custom made screen that went over the opening but behind the cover flaps. He custom made the screen so that the air vent would look the same as all of the others instead of having a standard vent cover that would make that vent look different than the others on the house.

He had to drive about 30 min to get to my house. He had to come out about 5 times to catch them all. He did a good job. He was pleasant and kept at it until the job was done. It was the first time I had used him and I would use him again.

His service is excellent.  He was honest and to the point.   Fixed my bird problem in my wall.  He even took extra time to put up a safe trap so that the bird can come out but not go back into the exterior wall of my home.   I am an animal lover and it really meant a lot that no animals were harmed.     I was very pleased with his service and will definitely use  his services in the future and refer to anyone.   Thank you.

They were very good and responsive. They appeared when they said they would.

I got them from Angie's List. He recommended somebody else to what needed to be done to close up the areas. We never caught anything but he was very fair. It was pretty inexpensive. It cost $50 to $60. He was good because I have had other people who come and check your traps every day. If you call him before 9:00 am and tell him if something is not in the trap then he does not come. If there is nothing in there then he does not charge you and truthfully, that's big. I have used the other pest control companies in the past. They come out every day, charge you an arm and a leg but I am quite capable of overseeing the traps and see if there is anything in them. He was on time.

Jerry performed the work in a effective and professional manner.  He explained the bill and the breakdown of costs.  I highly recommend him.

Jerry is a true professional! A family of racoons was tearing up our screened-in porch and destroying new plantings and planters. After one night of seeing the security light come on and off due to raccoons having a fiesta on our deck, I looked up info in Angies' List. I chose Affordable Animal Control for two reasons: the reviews I read on Angie's List and the fact that he was a local business in our area. He came out right away following our first phone call, identified the places where the racoons were going under the deck, and set four traps. The first night we caught 3!! Whenever there was a racoon trapped he came out within an hour or two if not sooner. He advised us on how to prepare the deck to try to prevent this from happening again. The first morning (after calling him at the crack of dawn) he was pleasant and had a sense of humor about my calling so early, something I really appreciated since we had three racoons making awful noises in our yard. He recognized us as Angies' List members and his price for all he did was extremely reasonable. Although I hope we don't need his services again, if we did I would not hesitate to call. I would recommend him to anyone with a need for animal removal - he knows what he is doing!

We have used the gentleman before.  We have been pleased with him.  I thought he was reasonable.  He came out and he had to get up really high.  We would have done it ourselves but it was just too high.  We have always tried to use the discounts offered by Angie's List.  He has always been very quick to respond and to come out.  It's just been an easy process working with him.  He was very professional. 

Idea of varmints in my house scared me - a lot.  Called Jerry late afternoon on Tuesday and he came right out. Set trap in backyard after he determined the path that the raccoon was taking.  Caught the female Thursday morning; Jerry came and removed her and reset the trap - just to make sure we didn't get some other one.  After 2 nights of empty trap, Jerry came out on Saturday afternoon.  One of the babies had managed to get out of the attic and was sleeping in a low fork of a nearby tree. Jerry went into the attic and got the other baby.  Jerry left the trap and will remove in a couple of days - just to make sure.

Jerry is wonderful!!!  Very knowledgeable, personable and his quick response was very much appreciated.  Would not hesitate to call him again. 

I would definitely call AAC again.  Jerry is professional , knowledgeable, and humane.  He caught two lactating female squirrels on the first day.  Thereafter, the babies started showing up in the traps.  Jerry actually held the females in a transfer cage and reunited the families even though it took four days to capture all of the babies.  He then took them out to some land where he is permitted to release them.  And, he charged a very reasonable fee.  All in all, I couldn't think of a better person to use.

I called him yesterday and he was able to come out today. The worker was incredibly nice and arrived in a timely manner. He went up in the attic & informed me of all the ways bats could get in. He didn't tell me what to do in order to get rid of the bats. He advised me to find a company that would figure out how to fix the way in which the bats were getting in. He only charged me half of the payment, since he just told me that I have bats; I already knew that. If he might've seen the bat, he might've been able to actually something about it, but he didn't really fix my problem. I feel as though he should've let me know up-front what his limitations were with bats.

If you've got "critter problems" Jerry is the man to call. I've used his services twice this summer, when raccoons were rampant (over a dozen) under a backyard deck at my daughter's home, and then a few weeks later when I had some more (four) under a porch at my place. His prices are the best, as long as you're willing to 'help' some and call him in the morning to report if the traps he sets are full or empty. He also provided expert advice on how to screen off entry/exit holes around the deck/porch to keep the raccoons out for good.
