RHINOKOTE ASPHALT SEALCOATING

It took at least two weeks to get a quote. Rhinokote performed the sealing but left several streaks (like brush strokes) behind. I contacted them, and they did come out to reseal. The second sealing created even more streaks in the driveway. When I reported this again, the owner came out to look at it. He said he wasn't happy with the way it looked but there was nothing he could do. He blamed it on the fact that our driveway receives a lot of direct sun and the tech couldn't apply the material quick enough to avoid the streaks. I spent more money on Rhinokote because they advertise a superior job. Not impressed at all. Wouldn't use them again.

I was very satisfied, I used them last year and was happy and for that reason i asked them to come back this. I have also referred some folks in the neighborhood to them.

They were on time. they didn't make a mess. Just the seal-coating itself, was perfection and my neighbor even came over and asked for their business card.

Perfect. Responsive and parking lot looks like new.

Work was completed as expected. Crack sealing of a few small cracks was not well done.
This was the most I have paid for sealcoating my driveway and expectations were higher. Will most likely no use them again.

They seal coated my driveway before winter sets in. It was not done since 2011. They did a great job this morning. They are very hard to get s hold of. But have always used them and would use them again. Thx.

It has been almost a year, and most all of the cracks are still sealed.  Trees, traffic, and ants tend to have their way with asphalt.  There is one area of the drive that is deteriorated and really should be cut out and replaced.  But that is another job.  Rhinokote came, they sealed, they made me happy.

I contacted Rhinokote early in the 2014 season to schedule an asphalt repair for the end of my driveway, along with crack sealing, and seal coating. 
They provided a very thorough estimate very quickly, and I elected to move forward.  Due to a part failure during start-up for the season, it was several weeks before Rhinokote could perform the asphalt repair.  During that time, I received numerous calls and email messages from Rhinkote, including a call from the CEO, keeping me abreast of the status and estimate of when the work could be scheduled.
Their equipment was repaired in early May, and my work completed in late May.  Both the repair and the sealing work are outstanding.  The sealing job is easily the best I have had on this driveway.  My neighbor across the street was so impressed by the work on my driveway that they scheduled a seal coat of their driveway for the very next day.
I highly recommend Rhinkote.

They took forever to get here and stripped the lot incorrectly. They were given instructions on how we wanted the stripping completed and whoever they had strip our lot did it how they wanted to. We called the owner and he said someone would come out and redo the stripping and we still have not seen or heard from anyone. If you call them you get voice mail and they do not call you back right away. Would not use them again.

After completing our parking lot, we informed them that the lines had been done incorrectly and asked them to be redone. Here we are months later and the lines have never been redrawn. We made the mistake of paying them after the original job and since then they are impossible to contact and don't return phone calls. Would not recommend them!

I was looking for a provider to seal coat two driveways at a duplex residence. I was impressed that Rhinokote took the time to explain different sealing materials and why the mixture they use is more durable. They scheduled me promptly, performed high quality work, and were flexible in providing payment via credit card over the phone that night since I was not present for the service. They did a great job and I will use them in the future.

They were very nice and scheduled my appointment within a week of my call. I was pleased with the work.

Our overall experience with Rhinokote was great! We emailed to have an estimate done in which they did so the next day! They ended up calling us to see if we wanted to have our driveway done the following day, since they had several customers they were going to be doing on our street. We decided to try them and used our 10% off Angie's List coupon. I was home and was able watch it being done. They edged the grass along the driveway and blew off all the debris. The man doing the edging made sure that my daughter was not coming back before he started as she had just left on her bike to a friend's house. I appreciated his concern. The guys were very polite, neat and efficient. Our driveway looks great. No tar on the house or garage doors. This is the first seal coat for this driveway, so it probably will need to be done again next year. We will use them again as long as the sealing wears well.

Everything went fine, they serviced me very quickly. They always do great work.

The owner came out to measure and provide us with an estimate. He
explained from the outset that, because of the state of or drive, that
some of the services that we were discussing would not be a sure-fix-all
but it would prolong the life of the drive. he also confirmed that
there is a no quibble 1 year guarantee on the sealant.
We had to call in the 1 year warranty, which was honored without
question. And while the first time the job was done (last Fall) the
outcome was disappointing after the following Winter thaw, it seems that
their second trip the following Spring i holding up much better, so
far.
I found the initial contact and scheduling with this company a bit
delayed at times and the communications could be improved, but the
punctuality and work of the laborers were top notch.

I called to make an appt. They called me back. We set the date. They did the sealing and I paid them.

This was my third experience with Rhinokote.  The first two were fine and they called me after a year or so to reapply the seal coat which I agreed to.  I did ask for a modest discount since I had a large driveway and was a repeat customer.
I was gone when they did the work but left the check for them in the door.  When I returned I found they had not taken the check but had performed the work.  I was not happy with the work; none of the cracks were not filled.  I sent in a check with the invoice and a note along with pictures stating I was not happy that they'd not filled the cracks.  The scheduler called me and said that crack filling was extra.  They said they should have asked me when I placed the order.  While I thought it a little chintzy I said that was fine to send someone to do it and I'd pay for it.   Later that day or next the owner (Kirby) called and promised to send someone out to get the cracks filled and at no charge.  I told him I'd pay for it no problem.
When they did fill the cracks they only did one large one and boy was it crappy work!  It was rough, not complete, and as I said they only did one crack and left all the rest as is.   I also got a call that the work was $50.
I complained via email to the owner and his service department that I was not happy with this second work but did not hear back. About 2 weeks later, after I'd called a competitor to come do the work again, a very nice fellow (I'll call him "Max") from Rhinokote showed up and said he'd been told to come by to fill the cracks.  It was a little confusing conversation as this guy indicated that Rhinokote and the competitor I called were actually sister companies.  Max promised if I called he'd come back and make it right at no charge.  I called the competitor about the alleged connection and he denied any connection with Rhinokote.
I never did call Max; the competitor called and had an opening and based on the experience so far with Rhinokote (2 attempts, both pieces of work were second rate and no follow up call from anyone about my complaint and were not proactive about fixing it) I paid to have the work done again.  The new work, except for the area where Rhinokote did the crappy work on, looks really great.
So, I don't know if I should have given Rhinokote a third chance.  I really considered it but just didn't feel like they gave a hoot about my business.

Spoke extensively with the owner (Kirby).  As he alluded too, we had agreed to an amount to settle the affair.  We spent some time reviewing the job and overall I felt a lot better about his company and what had happened. I think he got ill-served by one of his crews and did not realize my want to have the work finished right away.   In agreeing to refund my money it shows that he is of good character and willing to do what he could.      I was still disappointed with the patch job and for that I can't give them a "A" or even a "B" grade but I have adjusted my grade up to a "C" b/c they are sincere in making it right.

They called me on Saturday to see if I would like to get my driveway resealed. I had been thinking about it so set something up. They wanted to come out on Sunday but I didn't want them to. They couldn't come Monday or Tuesday because of rain so we agreed on 9/24. They showed up today and knocked but I didn't hear it. I then heard them edging the sides of the driveway, preparing to start the sealing. I asked them what they were doing and they said they had me down for today. It was a misunderstanding, but they didn't know I was home and I had not provided any payment, so I don't know why they just started the service, especially because it's supposed to rain today. I think I will use someone else for the work.

Went well. Driveway looks nice. They were super late from original time they told me.

It was pretty much as you would want it each time I have used them.  They offer great customer service.

We were happy with their work that they performed.

Sealcoating is not a cure-all for badly cracked or damaged driveways.  It is really for driveways that are in good shape that you just want to maintain (ideally every year or at the most, 2 years).  My driveway in all honesty was in terrible shape, but we were selling the house.  So Kirby was very honest with me and said that he would not sink a lot of money into repairs or repaving, either with him or with any company.  He advised to just pay for the basic sealcoating and be done with it.  I agree with him.  I could not afford $1500-$3000 for a new driveway, nor would I ever get the money back out of that investment.  So it made sense.

I truly appreciate anybody who is honest and does not try to sell me something that I do not need.  I think that is fantastic.  I had no prior relationship with this company, so I have to assume that Kirby treats all customers this way.

I think their scheduing and call-back process gets a little crazy. There are a lot of people involved and they are very busy, so sometimes they need to reschedule due to bad weather or being overbooked...  So you may have to be patient.  But I thought that they were very friendly and professional through the entire process, and that I was getting a good deal, so I do not mind reschedules when that is the case.  As long as I am treated well, I am happy.  I can tell that they are doing their best.  I don't know if it is exactly how I would run the business - with one person estimating, then another scheduling, then another in charge of the work crew, etc.  But I have never run a company like this, so I hesitate to criticize their processes. All in all, I would not hesitate to use them again for future work, and in fact I plan to do so.
