"When we initially sealed the member's drive he was happy with the work, but was concerned about cracks that were not hot-sealed. I spoke to him and said that we did not have crack-sealing on the order and that we would come back out and seal the cracks, which we did. The member was not happy with the crack sealing and upon inspection we agreed that the job was not up to par. I sent my foreman out to fix the crack sealing and after talking to the member they decided to postpone the repair as he was getting deck work done. My foreman said that the member was amiable and agreeable by the end of their conversation. Their agreement was that the member was to call us when he was ready so we could complete the repair. Somehow, after their conversation, a competitor convinced the member that he had to get his entire drive resealed as well as fixing the crack sealing. According to a recent conversation I had with him he paid again to have his drive resealed. We could have easily fixed the job with no additional cost to the customer. This is unfortunate and I feel he was taken advantage of and have agreed to refund the money he paid us in the interest of customer service."
"On 09.24.12 I spoke to the member about the confusion on the date of the scheduled sealcoating. It appears that we made a mistake on the date the sealing was to be scheduled. We do our schedules by computer and we accidentally moved the date to the wrong Monday. We just sealed the member's drive and he said that he was happy with the job. Kirby R.
