 + -1 moreMike was very friendly and in investigating the leak he had to saw off a retaining ring. So this is why I'm glad he was doing the job. He also figured out the reason the water never got hot enough was because the previous mixer cartridge had been inserted in the wrong direction. After going off site to get the necessary parts, the faucet was repaired. And finally have really hot water for the shower since moving into the house!
Description of Work: The tub faucet had developed a leak and needed to be repaired.

 + -1 moreThe representative arrived, looked inside the furnace and said there might be carbon monoxide leaking, that the furnace was old and needs to be replaced. He did not perform any cleaning or measuring of differentials in air flow, measuring the carbon monoxide in the vents or any of the 21 point checkups he was supposed to do. I told him the carbon monoxide detector had never gone off and I was not worried about that. What a waste of money. He left and I called another HVAC company and they were excellent, even providing the measurement results in writing of all the tests done with various instruments.

 + -1 moreTechnician was delayed in traffice & I received a call from the office advising me of the situation. When technician arrived, I told him he didn't have to wear protective booties - he did anyway. He explained the cost / benefit of upgrading the aif filtration and the potential expense if I did not replace the furnace valve. He explained that even though the furance was 15 years old, it was in great shape and by replacing the valve, I could potentially get another 5-7 years out of the furnace. Very polite gentleman.

Description of Work: I took advantage of an Angie's List special. It was a whole house plumbing check-up. The representative made an inspection of all water-ups throughout the house and made some recommendations. The special was also supposed to include unclogging a slow drain. However at the time there were no no-running drains in the house.

Description of Work: I had an A/C inspection/tune up performed by Lewis. He was prompt, tidy, patient, and took time to show me things and explain basic maintenance to me. Wonderful experience. Lewis was a professional, personable star!

 + -1 moreThe furnace is 3 years old and a Trane. I wasn't expecting a host of things wrong and got suspicious. Therefore, I would not use them again.
Description of Work: They came in to service my furnace. The man seemed very nice and professional. They also checked my attached humidifier. I was told that the filter needed replacing and paid for that. When he returned to tell me that another expensive part was bad, I said don't bother replacing it.

Description of Work: I had a new furnace installed because my old one went bad. The technician came out, explained what he was putting in, and got busy on it because it was extremely cold in the house. He did a very prepared job making sure no furniture was damaged and that nothing got on the carpet during the installation. Cleaned up behind himself very well also.

He was very knowledgable about what he was doing and very friendly. I was really impressed by how hard he worked, even though he had another employee with him. This is just one more reason why I will continue to use The Service Pros.
Description of Work: They originally came out to install a water heater. Once they arrived, it was discovered that there was a problem with the plumbing. The pipe needed to be snaked to remove what ever was causing the back up.
