"[Member Name Removed], we are sorry that you had such a negative experience with Remark Construction. Remark completed your initial project, as agreed, and when contacted about several warranty issues (vinyl siding / soffit warping due to improper install) several months later, we returned within 24 hours to meet with you to assess. We agreed that the workmanship of our contractor was poor and scheduled for the vinyl (along with several other items) to be demo 'ed and re-installed. The work was performed, inspected by you and a member of Remark's administrative team, and approved of. 6 months later we were made aware through Angi's dispute resolution team that there was a "pending" item that Remark was unaware of - a single clip from the composite decking that was not originally installed that was causing the end of one composite deck board to lift from the flat surface of the deck. Again, within 24 hours of receiving this notification we made contact and scheduled the warranty work to be completed - this was scheduled within a week of the initial notification. Again, we apologize for the negative experience."
"[Member Name Removed], thank you for your kind feedback! It was a pleasure to work with you and your family on this whole first floor renovation project!"
"[Member Name Removed], Thank you for your project feedback! Your 3-season room is one we love to show off! We enjoyed working with you to complete this beautiful addition to your home!"
"[Member Name Removed], As we vocalized to you on May 2 and previously on April 24, we are sorry for your experience with Remark Construction. We do, however, want to make clarifications to your claims. Remark appreciates feedback, both positive and negative. On Thursday, Feb 16 Remark owner, Chris Kramer and an estimator met you to sign a Construction Agreement. A specifically outlined portion of this agreement states that "Client agrees that materials and workmanship during construction is the property of Contractor and any damages to materials or workmanship by Client is the responsibility of Client..." Your unannounced use of a shower in an active construction site, while you and your family had moved out is part of the issue. There are legitimate concerns that you have expressed that we have made attempts to remedy (i.e. lack of duct cleaning) and issues that you brought up during the project (truck driving into your yard during demo) that are unacceptable. From the beginning of the project you made clear that you wanted "to be as far away from the project as possible" and that any decisions should be made "by (your) sister." We had multiple conversations with her that were productive. It needs to be said that the final product is beautiful. The appliances being dented are things that we have expressed that we will help remedy - this is because your previously hired remediation company most likely damaged the fridge as they were ripping granite and cabinets out of your kitchen. Because of your intentional lack of communication, and the fact that there was a newer Project Manager on your job, we are confident there are legitimate things that fell through the cracks - such as your communication with your project manager, Jon, about the previously mentioned plumbing repairs. To sum our response up, we do appreciate constructive criticism. We take every experience with customers seriously and as an opportunity to improve. We are sorry for your experience."
"[Member Name Removed] , I am sorry if you perceived us to be rushed during your estimate. we have reached out by phone several times by phone to try and resolve this issue. please feel free to call me, Chris Kramer, at the number I have left on your voice-mail and we can try to resolve this issue. Thanks"
"Thank you for the kind words and this review! we enjoyed working to build a space to bring your family together!"
