Foundation Repair, Basement Waterproofing
Our 60+ year old home has experienced water in the basement on several occasions during our 21 years of ownership. This only happened after abnormally high amounts of rain and would often go several years between occurrences. We had our basement remodeled about seven years ago and all wall coverings were removed exposing the bare concrete. No cracks were discovered. When water did enter the basement, it appeared to be entering at floor level in two locations. As such, we felt the most probable cause was the exterior drainage at the base of the foundation was either collapsed or plugged allowing water to enter between the footer and basement floor. After some research, we felt Everdry presented the best solution based on the design of our home. We scheduled a sales call for June 13th during which the rep surveyed our home, explained the Everdry solution and presented the proposal. Our home required approximately 156 linear feet of inside drain and about 55 feet of exterior work. The work would include installation of a sump, two pumps (AC and battery powered), plus their E-Z Breathe ventilation system. The total price presented was $20,888.00 and supposedly included discounts for having a friend/family member referral, a military discount and an on standby discount. I felt that the sales approach was somewhat high pressure and would suggest that you get other proposals prior to having Everdry present their option. I was presented with only a total price and if doing it again would ask to see a detailed breakdown on how that number was calculated. A down payment of 30% was requested with the balance due upon work completion. The next workday following our signing of the contract, Everdry called and scheduled our job for the week of October 12th – 13 weeks out. The crew of six men showed up on October 12th and quickly began work. They completed the outside work first and on the second day began work inside. We had already removed breakable items and moved the furniture away from the exterior walls and the crew made some adjustments before covering everything with plastic to create a dust barrier. They jack hammered through the basement floor all along the perimeter walls and this creates A LOT of dust which permeated the entire house. They certainly did their best to control the dust, but it is a dirty job. Our finished basement has vinyl plank flooring installed over large part of the basement. They removed this as carefully as possible about 30” from all exterior walls along with the baseboards and molding. The crew showed up at about 7:45 AM each day and worked until approximately 3:00 PM with an hour lunch break. They all worked consistently and seemed to know & anticipate what had to be done. They completed the job on October 16th as scheduled. The cleaned up their mess both indoors and out well. Two weeks following completion of work, a Quality Inspector scheduled a visit to inspect the work completed and review the experience with us. We were advised that due to curing time, floor coverings should not be reinstalled for at least eight weeks and preferably not until after the next event that might cause water entry. Since our flooding occurred so seldom, we are now in the process of re-installing the vinyl plank flooring. Although it was carefully removed, it is not locking together well and may have to be replaced. If your basement is finished, you need to carefully consider whether your floor covering can be safely removed and reinstalled. Everdry assumes no liability for the removal replacement of the floor covering. This was a very major and expensive project plus the jury is still out on whether it fixed our problem. I am retired and was home to observe all the work as it was completed. I felt the Everdry team knew what they were doing, completed their work well and was respectful and careful of our home and its contents. I feel like the Everdry solution was right for our home, but you need to do your own due diligence.

As a sales professional myself,I always stress to my staff-Do what you say you will do. This could not be more true for Everdry. The sales process was simple and easy to understand and installation was done cleanly and on time. The lifetime warranty was a great added feature and will add value at resale time. We were purchasing a new home and one of the selling points was the Everdry Cincy waterproofed basement with lifetime warranty. The basement was leaking during our inspection and the seller had Everdry come back and do warranty work to repair the leaks. A few months after closing we had heavy rain and water began surging up through the floor drain in the basement. We contacted Sanitation District 1 and an emergency technician responded. They informed us the sewer drains were wide open but it appeared the Everdry system was tied into our sewer line which was a code violation. The basement flooded wall to wall of the foundation reaching 18 inches high. The flood ruined all of our appliances, all of the boxes that contained our kids memories, my deceased father's military shadowboxes, and thousands of dollars of contents. After calling Everdry they sent out a supervisor that denied using the sewer drain, but could not show us where the water was being discharged to outside the house. They agreed to come out and install a new sump pump in our garage but refused to cover any of the damages. We contacted Jolly Plumbing who were awesome. They sent out a technician that brought a pipe camera system. They ran a camera through the Everdry lines and found where they were tapping into the sewer drains. I sent the video to Everdry and they are still denying any responsibility. I have hired an attorney and we are following their policy for arbitration, but they are slow to respond, delay service calls for two months, and still have not corrected the floor drain issue. Every time it rains the water collects in our floor drain and depending on the intensity, floods the basement. With every bit of evidence showing they cut corners, violated code, multiple videos and documentation from other companies, they still refuse to own their mistake. It's obvious not a company with a strong ethical foundation. We have lost items that are not replaceable. Children memories and family keepsakes can not be assigned a dollar value. All of our appliances, mold and drywall damage, can be assigned a dollar value. When you make a mistake, you own it. As a business owner myself, it's why we have insurance. Make a wrong right and customers will understand. Lie when faced with video evidence and documentation, you lose all credibility as a professional company. I highly recommend you use one of the many other waterproofing companies.

Awful. It took several different crews to come out and repair what the previous crew did. The first crew showed up for 1 hour then left to do a different job, after we already took time off from work to be home that day. When they returner the following day, that crew bickered amongst themselves and the crew manager walked around with his shirt off. Very unprofessional. I can only hope after several visits that the job was done right.

Everdry is an outstanding company. Our basement is dry. They put in a pump and a dehumidifier. I have only had to call them a couple of times in the many years & they come out fast and fix the problem. Just a overall great company.

We had Everdry waterproof our basement in 1994. They performed the work in a timely and efficient manner. They did exactly what they said they were going to do - to the letter. We had to call them in the summer of 2019 because the sump pump was acting up. They promptly came and fixed the problem with no charge or fee whatsoever, as it was covered under our warranty. We have been extremely happy since 1994 with the work they did! We highly recommend Everdry Waterproofing!

My wife’s and I’s experience with Everdry was exceptional. The in home evaluation was easy and the professional explained exactly how the process works and was upfront about pricing. Their customer service was excellent in helping get us scheduled (we had a baby on the way and wanted to get it done before the baby was born) so they worked to squeeze us in which was appreciated. On the actual construction days, the team was professional and communication was good with the project leader. We are one year from installation and have had some big rains and the basement is still bone dry. I’ve since had to call with followup questions regarding warrantee upkeep, and their phone customer service is excellent and they are so easy to get a hold of. I know that many struggle with contacting contractors for followup and the easy of mind that this is an established business with good communication and followup for customers is worth it. My only complaint is the website is rudimentary is very challenging to support online bill pay for the warrantee payments, but other than that, a very good job!

We had a serious water problem in our finished basement caused by the previous owner ignoring and covering things up prior to sale. We ended up needing to have the whole basement redone, and I wanted to make sure it was done right. EverDry came in with a great price and completed the job in less than a week, including both outdoor (waterproofing) and inside work (drainage channels, sump pump, air filtration). Everyone was very professional and made sure they explained what was being done and what we could expect. We have had only one major issue since this work was performed about 7 years ago which had to do with the sump pump - it took a few visits to isolate the issue, but they were able to replace the part(s) that were causing a problem - a float and a control panel - and all was covered under warranty. I believe they even replaced the battery for me since the other problems had caused the battery to drain more quickly and expire prematurely. I love the fact that they have a renewable warranty ($75 per year) and all work is covered. Everyone is always super helpful and friendly whenever I've needed to call with any questions.

Excellent. This work was done 23 years ago and have not any water in the basement since this work was performed. Well, one time some because the sump pump died. Contacted EverDry and they came out and replaced the faulty sump pump at no cost. I would recommend EveryDry to anyone who ask.
