Excellent service. Had damage to the roof, all services done within two weeks start to finish.
Avsten came to our home after a storm in April of this year. They said that we likely had storm damage to our roof. They inspected the roof free of charge and said that they recommended we put in a claim to our home insurance company. We did.
In the meantime we asked several neighbors about the work Avsten had done in replacing their roofs. All seemed pleased with their new roofs.
The insurance company's adjuster came out and confirmed that there was significant storm damage and our roof needed to be replaced. We got our first check from insurance and Avsten got started on the roof. It only took 1 day for the subcontractors to complete the entire roof of our 2200 sq ft. ranch home. They were all Mexicans who didn't speak any English but I am totally ok with that because they did a great job!
Everything went smoothly with Avsten except when it came time to get the second check from our insurance company. For some reason the insurance company was delayed in getting them the check. During this time I got frequent texts asking about the 2nd check. I got a call from the owner of Avsten who didn't sound too happy about the situation and sort of was testy with me about it. In no exact words, it sounded like I was going to have to pay the remaining $3000 if my insurance company didn't pay up. This is not at all what I was told by Avsten before starting the project. I was told that if the insurance company didn't pay they would "have to eat up the cost." It turns out my claims rep with insurance simply hadn't receive the completion certificate apparently because it was being faxed to the wrong person! This is the only reason why I give Avsten them a B instead of an A.
Otherwise, Andrew and the rest of the crew was professional. The subcontractors did a great job. I would recommend them to a friend or neighbor.
