Current owners have a combined 35 years experience in the roofing industry. We are a CertainTeed Shingle Master company. For commercial work and flat roofing, we are licensed to install Firestone, Carlisle, Duro-last and Garland. Maxim Roofing is not a storm chaser; travel is limited to within an approximate 60-mile radius of Dayton, Ohio. Old-fashioned, personal attention to detail is vitally important to us, and you will be assisted by our friendly, helpful staff every step of the way. All employees are trained in their field of expertise, and are locally-hired Daytonians. We are members of the Miami Valley Better Business Bureau, the Kettering-Moraine-Oakwood and Beavercreek Chambers of Commerce. We look forward to answering any questions that you may have.

"Hello, I appreciate the kind words about the roof project. I am glad you are pleased with the project. The only real surprise we found...was the lack of any step-flashing at your walls. That was definitely a surprise! Thank you for taking the time to write the review for helping spread the word."
We had some fairly complex flashing and counter flashing around 2 chimneys and 2 shed dormers. All look fantastic, professional, and I feel confident they won't leak.
A few items worth noting:
1) There are literally thousands of nails holding a roof on. When you remove a roof there are bound to be some nails that don't make it onto the tarps and don't get picked up by the magnet they run around the yard at the end of the day. I purchased my own magnet and ran it around the yard. I picked up lots of nails. I don't blame the crew for this at all. I would suggest that any home owner do this several times over a couple weeks to pickup the majority of the nails.
2) We had several nails that were shot below the nailing strip and were exposed on the top of the shingles. The crew moves so quick with the nailing gun that I can understand how easy that is to do. I contacted Maxim Roofing and they came out and repaired the problems without any argument whatsoever.
Overall I would recommend this company.

Kevin arrived promptly at the appointment time. He walked around our entire roof and checked all of the gutters. He found 3 paper clips, a tennis ball, 2 parts of shingles that the roofers had left, a toad, and 1 leaf, all of which he removed from the gutters. The tennis ball had clogged one of the downspouts and was keeping the water from draining. Otherwise, our gutters were clean.
Kevin didn't tell me our gutters needed to be replaced. He did point out a couple of gutter spikes that need to be pushed back in. He didn't try to push me into buying the leaf relief. He didn't charge me for unclogging the drain or removing the items from the gutters.
Kevin was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. When we need a new roof or gutters, we will certainly call him to do the job. His honesty was appreciated, and his willingness to take care of the customer was apparent in how he handled the visit today. I will be recommending him to our friends and neighbors.

My house is 170 years old with many add on additions over the years. It is two story with 2 covered porches, a bay window and a garage that was attached to one of the porches. There are many angles and 2 failing chimneys. Because of the asbestos an abatement team was needed for part of the removal. The crews worked well together and at no time was I concerned about having any exposure if rain was coming. The crews consulted with me concerning issues on the chimneys which were failing on 2 unusable fireplaces. They snapped pics on their cell phones so I could see the damage. I chose to have them removed. They cleaned up the areas and at no time were they disruptive to my activities.
I was very well satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
Their bid for the project was also about $3,000 lower than a bid from another company from last year for the same scope of work.

"The new gutters and downspouts on your daughter's home were quoted and installed to match the existing profile. Afterward you indicated that you wanted the downspout installed in a different manner, and we made arrangements to have that done at no additional cost to you. The work was completed on September 8 and not noticed by you before you made your report (per conversation afterwards), and before we were even paid. Due to the already-scheduled summertime load of work, we were not able to make your requested change immediately, but worked that in within a little more than 2 weeks.
