"In regards to what has been said , the truth needs to be on the record . We did work for them before and they were very happy (ROOFS). If we were so incapable or bad at what we do, why contact us back? That would seem to make no sense on any level . We fought on her behalf to get the garage torn down for the better part of a year, spent our own money to have an engineer provide a report to the insurance to combat the engineers report from the insurance company . We finally won her/our case to demo the garage . Subsequently, by law, you must have Plans drawn up to submit to the city . The city was debilitated with the Covid epidemic, drastically affecting timelines. Said customer was made aware of every step of the process on a consistent basis . The insurance only covered the demo of the garage itself , not a new foundation, so the old one had to be used . Homeowner was given the opportunity to have us demo the pad and footers but decided to forego this extra work. They had a large crack in the middle of the foundation pad , which they could clearly see and we pointed out. In the end, said customer got a brand new garage (the original garage was very old and broken)…. Which increased the property’s value by quite a bit . Her claim that our NEW garage devalued the property is completely and utterly inaccurate seeing as how we have access to what the house sold for when transaction happened , it is public record. Furthermore, we cannot control nor are obligated doing repairs to a garage side wherein someone has come along and tried to attach a “lean-to” to the side of garage . Our original construct was changed up near the soffits/fascia boards to try to accommodate the “Lean-To” that looked to have been attempted (not by us). We have finished pictures and received final payment by the same homeowner that has said so much in a negative manner. It’s rather disheartening, but we as a company have to have a stopping point at which our liability and responsibility ends. We cannot be responsible for other’s doings. We really went to bat for our customer, as we always do and always will. If we had this to do over again, respectfully …. We would do it the same way. We could not have been any more fair, professional, or responsive . One last mention…. If there were anything we did wrong as a company , the city absolutely would not have passed us on the numerous inspections that are were required and were subsequently done in this customer’s case. Thank you for reading"
"Thanks sir . In these rather uncertain times , we take it very serious and are honored that folks want to have us do their projects . You and your wife were great to work for . Looking forward to the next couple projects we just quoted !"
"Nicest lady ever …. Would love to be of assistance again any time ! Thank you for the business !"
"Thank you for trusting us with your home …. We were honored to do the various projects at your place and would be grateful to come back !"
"Amazing review … could not ask for anything more . Also loved working for the VANNS. Terrific people , great scopes of work that provided challenges , which were met with quick and precise remedies . Loved doing all of the scopes of work involved . You guys treated us like family. Even gave the guys drinks while working, and in general…. Treated myself and my guys with the utmost respect. Much appreciated."
"With all due respect , the quote could not be reevaluated due to the ever-changing desires of the customer. Barry was out of town as he stated and Did try to contact him back, but we essentially needed to start completely over again. Which was not a problem, however, we wanted to do this via email to have record of the conversations in order to protect ourselves and our customer … our emails were not responded to. As the man above stated …. We did everything by the book , followed through, contacted him, had multiple discussions, emailed him to make sure we had an accurate assessment of the changes being asked for , and we heard nothing in return . To get a negative review for something involving these circumstances seams a bit uncalled for respectfully. As a business , we support Barry and have seen the conversations, phone call logs, and have witnessed how/why the quote could not be re-estimated . This was a rare case of simply not being able to provide numbers to someone due to the extent of changes and the lack of clarity we could ascertain. We value all of our customers no matter the job size/type. We will continue to do so moving forward . Thank you."
"We came to find out that there were underlying issues once we started the job. Respectfully, the home owner did not make us aware of the underlying problems that her husband knew about .... which we fixed (improper electrical work.... not to code and dangerous), which we fixed for free. The drywall work was done well and pictures were taken as we typically do on all of our jobs. I am a little confused as to why we would have been paid and why I would have texts from the customer stating that they were happy , if the end results were as bad as has been stated. Jay (the employee on the job), was having some family issues (daughter was ill and in the hospital), which was explained and I asked if they wanted me to send someone else out to complete the job if it was desired.... the answer was no. The timeframe that it took to do the job had more to do with the electrical that the husband continued to state he was going to deal with himself, than it did us . We always give timeframes regarding start times in the morning when procuring materials, Jay was never more than 30 minutes outside that window . One of the days .... jay was 27 minutes late due to buying electrical materials for the job which we never were supposed to do. We did this out of kindness and trying to move forward. I am not sure what else we could have done at this point . I would hope that this review is not viewed negatively in any way. We are a multiple-time SUPER SERVICE AWARD WINNER, which is no easy task. We run a great business and strive for customer satisfaction, as seen in our other reviews. *Lastly, Jay did not smoke , he does not smoke. There was another contractor that was there that got fired. I can only assume this was the other contractors doing. My guys do not throw cigarette butts down on people’s property... ever. Thank you for reading ."
