They did a good job of coming out.  They were very professional.  They were courteous and gave me a written estimate.  Their price was higher than I wanted to spend.  I didn’t use them.

Jason assessed the leak in my roof inside and outside up on the ladder. I thought the leak was due to chimney flashing. He thought the leak was due to failing mortar between bricks in the chimney. He did a test with the hose while I watched from inside. The water leaked in when run on the bricks, not on the flashing. Jason recommended I hire a mason to due a complete tuckpointing on the chimney. Jason cleared debris from my gutters while he was up there. What a great productive appointment! After several appointments with other roofers I finally have a definitive answer to my leaking problem.

They were very careful. I chose the high quality package. They did some good waterproofing. I have been happy with their work.

We have half a duplex; it is not a large home. I felt the quote was quite high, in my opinion, especially when compared to others nearby. (I even wondered if maybe they didn't wan the job and quoted it high on purpose, but that was just a passing thought and may not be true.) In the end I did not use their service. I will call them again for future quotes on work, however.

I called for an estimate and received a call back from the estimator the same day. A time was scheduled for him to come out and he arrived promptly, let us know he was there and began measuring the roof and gutters for the materials necessary so that the estimate would be accurate. There was no "eyeballing" of the roof - he went around and actually measured everything. While he was on the roof he actually cleaned out a blocked gutter downspout so that we wouldn't have water seeping into the walls. He was very clear on all charges including what additional charges applied for any wood that would need to be replaced. Once nice feature of this company is that they take digital pictures of all wood that is rotted/damaged and digital pictures of the repaired areas so that there can be no question of whether the additional charges were necessary or not. The company requests a 10% deposit when the contract is signed. It took about 4 weeks (due to the weather) before the crews could be scheduled, but once they were, they arrived promptly at 7:30 on the day scheduled (they tell you the arrival time up front) and immediately got to work. All landscaping is protected with tarps and plywood so that debris from the roof tear-off does not damage it. The crew moved statuary and pots before starting work and put it back at the end of the day (they wrap up about 4:30PM). The crew cleans up VERY carefully each day at the end of work so that there are no bits of shingle or roofing nails to damage cars going in and out. In general, putting a new roof on a house is a messy and somewhat noisy business so do not expect to be doing a lot of back and forth outside the house because you WILL have to duck under ladders and be concerned about falling debris. Understand this is not a criticism of the company - they are very good about clearing out of the way for you if you need to get outside for anything. The crew working on my house took a break for lunch 11:00-11:30 or so and another 2:00-2:30 so you might want to plan walking the dog or other outside activities for those periods. When the crew is on break they are so quiet you will not know they are there. The crew is courteous and I heard no obscenities the entire time they were working. It took 2 full days (7:30-4:30) to complete the roof on the house and detached garage. The gutters were installed about 2 weeks after the roof was done (again due to weather delays). The crew (different crews for roof and gutters) worked about 4 hours overall doing the garage one afternoon and the house the next. The only slight criticism of the roofing crew that I have is that they never really touched base with us when they came and went, they just appeared, did their work, and disappeared again.

Our architect recommended Daugherty construction. They worked very hard to design a system for the tapered insulation that would promote drainage from the roof (it has settled in such a way that water doesn't reach all of the drains any more). Their work was inspected by the manufacturer for compliance with their installation requirements, to secure the material warranty. They were prompt, finished the work quickly, and left our yard clean. We were very pleased and would work them again.

When I called for estimates, they were on time and very professional and courteous. When I signed the contract, they said they would call to perform the work at the first date that weather would allow. I got the call and we agreed on a date to start the work. On the designated date, they were there on time and in full number. I was in awe of the number of workers and trucks they had on the job. I was told the roof would be completed in one day and it was. I was also told that another crew would do the gutters and would be there in a day or two, and they were there and completed the gutters in a few hours or less. The roofers also reattached some siding that had fallen off of my house previously due to high winds. I was thankful for that. Everything was cleaned up. I didn't even have to be home for them to do the work (but I was). I was very pleased with the entire process --- from calling for someone to come out for an estimate to the finished product.

They were on time. They were tidy. They did a good job. They were accessible for questions. I was obviously satisfied. They were the most expensive of the estimates I got from three different companies but they did the most satisfactory work.

I've dealt with this company for the last twenty years. I've always been satisfied with their work and their prices are reasonable. They do excellent work and always clean up after themselves. Another company I received a quote from told me it would cost double what Daugherty did the work for.

They installed a whole new roof on a building I own. They are excellent and I would recommend them.

They were polite, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They even came back out to fix an issue and I couldn't have asked for better service.

It was outstanding. They were punctual, neat, quiet, and they had great respect for our neighbors. They also finished when they said they would. The job is excellent.

They did a complete tear off and re-roof. It went very well. They were prompt and professional. They cleaned up very well and did a nice job.

I moved into this home in May and of all the projects I've had folks in to assist with this was the easiest! Jason came on time for the estimate. After a quick trip to the roof he assessed the situation and gave me the estimate. Within a week, as promised, he came out and took care of the work. No muss, no fuss, just did what he said he would do.

After first call to Daugherty Construction, I was quickly visited by a sales rep (Jason) who examined the roof and did a good job explaining the situation and appropriate remedy. I decided to hire the company a couple of months later and mailed $750 deposit payment that was required for ordering materials. They honored the original estimate and put me on the work list for as soon as the weather would allow. Work crew of 3 arrived right on time, asked if I had questions and went right to work. Job took about 5 hours, old shingles were torn off, sections of roofing wood replaced, sealant and new shingles applied. They did an excellent job of cleaning up - I could find NO evidence that there was major roof work done on my house earlier that day. Got follow up call from sales rep following day to see if I was satisfied. Invoice for agreed amount arrived in mail a few days later. I was impressed by the good work and customer service from start to finish. I would definitely recommend to others and will absolutely use them for future projects that I might have.

We haven't heard anything from them and it's been a month.

Everything went fine. I will be using them again.

Very professional. Of the four companies I contacted, they were the best about confirming the original appointment, as well as following up to determine if they would get the job. I felt they would have done a good job, and their estimate was a bit lower than the others. It was a a definite toss up between Daugherty and another contractor, and ultimately I opted for the other company.

Installed it all in one day, cleaned up really well. Used high quality materials because we live on the lake, communicated well with us before during &after, price was good. Friendly workers. showed up on time. Also, earlier in the spring, it rained and rain was pouring thru our upstairs bathroom fan vent into the bathroom! We called them and they immediately came over, patched it, and did not charge us. He said we need a new roof. We said OK. He said I can't do it until October. We said fine. He came over in October and did an awesome job as described above.

This company gave us two estimates, one just to fix a leak, the other to replace the whole roof. Hal was a nice guy and very knowledgeable and gave a professional and thorough presentation about roofing and roofing materials. I learned a lot more from him then from anyone else who gave us an estimate, including the roofer we ended up hiring. He was very convincing, but we ended up using a lower cost company. FYI, our next door neighbor used his company and was very pleased.

Mr. Daugherty was late for the appointment. He did eventually call but I had somewhere to be (and had made the appointment early enough to allow for it) and by the time he came and did the estimate (which he did try to do quickly) I was running late. He gave a thorough presentation with supporting literature after going up on the roof to see it and take pictures. Then he did some quick figuring and gave me a total on a fill-in-the-blank contract. He also told me that our work could not be scheduled for several months. His price was in the ballpark of other estimates we received but he wanted to sell us a ridge vent, which other companies told us would not work for our particular roof.

They were very prompt and did the whole job in a day and a half.
