Luxury Heating offered us electric heaters immediately. Our house is pretty well insulated and we didn't think we would need them since we have a furnace in our family room that we expected to help keep the rest of the house from getting too cold. They couldn't get the specific model new furnace from the distributor until Monday and this was Saturday. Sunday morning, the house was pretty cold and we borrowed space heaters from friends and neighbors. Late Sunday morning, we got a call checking on us although we had been provided with a cell phone number and could have called Paul earlier. We asked Paul Samek when we could expect to have heat and he told us about 1 Monday afternoon. The crew arrived Monday morning and didn't stop working for lunch until they had heat. It took them several more hours to compete the job but we did have heat as quickly as they could get it. They provided us with all of the paperwork to sign and they submitted all of the rebates for us. Paul later mailed me verification and tracking numbers to check the status of the rebates.
He called the day of the installation to be sure that we were satisfied and had no questions and again several days later. I don't know what more they could have done. If they had not told us, we would not have known that there was a recall on our furnace that made us eligible for a $900 rebate on the new unit. The cost I listed does not reflect that rebate that we will get back from Carrier.. We are impressed with the professional job and the caring attitude that Luxury showed us. I did not rate the price since we didn't get prices from any other contractors.
Technician found a couple of burned out fuses that another HVAC company, which we used for a number of years, did not find.
This was a small job, but we feel this review is worthwhile because we just felt things were done right. We were treated courteously when we called for an appointment. The technician was prompt, knowledgeable and respectful of our home, and also gave us useful information for considering a new HVAC system. Our experience was so positive that we will again contact Luxury for replacing our furnace/heat pump.
