"Thank you for the positive grade. We appreciate your business and your comments very much."
"Thank you for the positive grade and the positive comments about our crews. We want to be known as an Honest, Dependable and Professional landscape contractor."
"Thank you Mrs [removed member name]! We want to earn an "A" on all of our services. Thank you for taking the time to grade us!"
"I apologize for any misunderstandings here. I do not recall, nor do I see, any estimate requests in our system.. We try to respond to all of our potential customers. There are no services in this potential customer's location (where we do a lot of work). that we would not offer and would not respond. I am uncertain as to the type of service (Removed member name) was asking. We have been delayed in getting our snow plow estimates out. This is something we will be doing within the next two weeks. We are typically not ready for snow plow requests in July and August."
I needed to have a new lawn planted at my house. He met me at my house and we went over what needed to be done. He said he was going to come back on Friday to take some measurements. I happened to be home on Friday when he came over to take measurements. He told me he had everything he needed and I would definitely receive his estimate that same day via email. I did not receive anything from him, so I called him and left a message. He emailed me and said that the estimate must be in my spam. I checked my spam and it was not in there. I called and emailed a couple more times and also gave him a fax number which he could send the estimate to. He never responded. He wasted my time. I later found out that landscaping is not his full time job. I am not surprised because he was very unprofessional with me.
"Mr (removed member name) Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I do admit that there was a delay due to an issue that I had at my home and I contacted you indicating I would be delayed. My proposal was emailed to you as promised. I apologize if you feel I wasted your time. I certainly did not drive the 45 minutes (x2) to your place and invest the time measuring the property, while missing my daughters' school events, with intentions of wasting your time. I will accept the responsibility of not following up to confirm you received the proposal, however; in this business, we often never hear from a customer if they decide to go with someone else. Through our general conversations, I did share that I work two full time jobs. For the past 28 years, I have never worked less than 40 hours a week for this company.I do not quite understand your "unprofessional" comment. Again, I apologize for the lack of communication. I did send your quote. I did not follow up with you to confirm you received it. I wish you the best of luck with your new home and I do thank you for the opportunity to bid on your project."
"Thank you for your report. I will not dispute the information provided by the member. In addition to our "technology" issues, I continue to have a family member who is fighting stage 4 cancer which has caused me to drop the ball in many daily business matters. While there are no valid excuses for poor business issues, the overall situation we are dealing with has been quite the challenge. Thank you for the opportunity and thank you for your patience this spring."
"This particular job WAS looked at. A proposal WAS submitted. Family owned and operated. Mother is still battling Stage 4 cancer. Family obligations will always take priority over business. We have been unable to follow up with proposals once submitted. We have had to assume that no communication means our proposal was not accepted."
"I do agree with most of "The Member's" comments with exception to not submitting a proposal. A proposal was issued to him on May 15 which appears to be 6 days after his posting on Angies List. I completely understand "The Member's" frustrations. The Member was contacted on May 9th with an explanation for my delay in responding to him. As I mentioned to "The Member" I could write a book referencing unexpected events which had occurred during the two week time period which had passed since I first met with him. I did offer proof / evidence which would confirm the events. Not responding, in a timely manner, to "The Member" is unacceptable. People handle emergency situations differently. I became consumed with helping friends and family and dropped the ball with a handful of business projects, returning some calls and completing some proposals being an example of delayed projects."
