"We have no idea where or why the call was disconnected. We do answer our phones 24/7. Calls sent to us from are going to our cell phones since we are either in our vehicles or at a consumers home doing an installation or service. I have experienced showing up as a missed call on my mobile phone that never rang. I have always called the operator back to get the phone number from the caller ID and return the call. I am sorry this customers call was disconnected. Since I did not receive any notice of a call on my phone, I was unaware that it happen. If [removed member name] is still interested in a quote, we would like her to give the phone system and us another opportunity."
I originally went to consumer reports [online] and found 3 service providers who had very good reviews / ratings. Then, I joined Angie's List and searched the site and found these same 3 providers who, according to Angie's List also had very good reviews / ratings. Two of the providers were DIY installations [not my preference] and Ultimate Technologies was an install [my preference]. I called Ultimate Technologies. They arrived on time and assessed our needs. Based on their experience and our preferences, we decided on the course of action.
They were fantastic. They had all the new equipment at hand, removed all the old equipment, and installed the new up to date features. Once everything was installed, they took us through the setup and customization of our security system. I am not a technical person, but the setup and customization was quite easy. This was a good experience and a great choice in selecting Ultimate Technology.
"Hi [member name removed] Good to hear from you through Angie's list. It was our wish to serve you at your new home when you moved from [member information removed] on October 26, 2012. We sent you a new proposal to you email on file but unfortunately did not reach you. When we has not heard from you, we learned you already signed a contract with another company for your new home. We thank you for your past service from Feb. 2011 to Oct. 2012. Angie's List has reported that you are a current customer of ours in 2014. This is not true. Perhaps you or Angie has been mislead. We have not serviced you at [member information removed] Since October 2012. I would request Angie to investigate the phone call to confirm this report."
"Reply from Don Shick: “[member name removed]did call me prior to my leaving town for a few days. He did tell me he was with ADT and indicated he has a problem with his window sensors, which were apparently multiple windows tied together on one zone and recessed in the bottom of the window sills. I explained that there is no way of telling which window had the bad sensor and there was a chance all of them may have to be dug out of the window to find the bad one. I ask him if we could earn his business and was led to believe he was looking for a local company to service his account.” My son Dayne who is part owner set an appointment to survey the window problem and to ask if he wanted our company to monitor his home security. Reply from Dayne: “I got there and we looked at windows, that is when I asked him who he was using and he said ADT. I asked if he was looking to change and he said no and he was happy with them. I asked if he called them to fix the issue and he said they told him they didn't put the system in. That is when I told him we don't service another companies accounts.” For the Record: Do we service security systems other than the ones we install ? Yes, but ONLY if that system IS NOT being monitored by another security company. Repairing systems monitored by other companies could expose us to LIABILITY issues in the future. Yes, if the consumer wants us to take over the monitoring service. In this case the repairs are usually done at no charge in exchange for their monitoring service. [member name removed]also noted that ADT would not even do the repair since the sensors were not installed by them when the home was built in 2008."
