From beginning to end, this was the easiest and most transparent carpet purchase I have made in over thirty years.  I would definitely return to Rite Rug on Sawmill Boulevard and would work with Jim again.

They installers when they put the carpeting in were great, however when they came out to install the laminate they scratched it all up. When they moved the furniture they did not pick it up they just pushed it across the floor and scratched up the new laminate. It was not a pleasant experience. I felt that the price was fair. They have not responded to my calls about the scratches yet, so I have not been impressed with their responsiveness. They did come out on time for the installation, however they have not been back out since the installation. I would not use them again in the future. There was a problem getting the transitions. They could not install them when they were originally scheduled, when I called to find out they said that they were on back order. The day after that I called and complained, the young lady on the phone said that she would look into it and get back to me. I still have not heard back from them.

We ordered carpet from them on a tight timeline. Paul assisted us selecting a carpet we could get installed within about a week. He asked us to call on the following Monday to check on the order status which I did. However, when I called the available salesperson (not Paul and not John Lowry) checked our order and told me the carpet was not due to be milled until much later than the date we needed it by. Since I was due to deliver our daughter in a couple of days and we had nothing down on the subfloor in the nursery I was frantic to get carpet installed so I went to Carpet King and ordered carpet from them. I hadn't thought it would be a problem to cancel our order with Rite Rug as I had been told the carpet was not due to be made much less cut to size. However, when I called Rite Rug to cancel the order I was told the carpet was already on the truck and was due to be installed as originally planned. I explained that I had been told otherwise that day and had since ordered another carpet given our time critical situation. The sales person (John Lowry) was sympathetic and quite helpful. However, the assistant manager (Brock) and manager were very unhelpful and would not cancel the order despite the fact it was misdirection by a Rite Rug salesperson that resulted in the situation. Their customer service was absolutely horrendous and I will definitely not go back there. Fortunately, John Lowry had found out from the mill that Rite Rug had ordered an entire roll of carpet, and not just a piece cut to our size. Once this was confirmed by Brock, they did refund us our money, but the experience was very frustrating. I would highly recommend avoiding Rite Rug for your flooring needs. If you do go there, John Lowry and Paul were helpful - however, the management and other salespeople were not.

They take payments upfront and that was something I did not like. The people who they sent for installation did a very messy work and I had to paint every wall they got close to. The quality of their work was also not good. I had a terrible experience with them.

I wanted an oversized remnant to cover a large living area which had hard wood floors. They helped me select one that was to be longer lasting, and suggested a nice thick pad to keep it in place and protect the wood underneath. I ended up removing the rug and pad just last month. The carpet didn't wear particularly well. It was Ok, but had become worn in spots, matted down. The pad did, however, protect the hardwood. They did not to any installation or delivery.

This didn't go so well. The sales center was nicely appointed and had many samples of carpet, however, the estimate was the highest of the three I received for a lower quality product. We weren't ready to commit to purchasing, so the sales person wouldn't let us keep the full estimate sheet where he did some of his calculations. I probably won't return.

They had a great price during one of their many sales for $1/square foot installed, though the upgraded pad was extra. They had a crew of subcontractors do the work who were fast but not the best. Several spots have something underneath that was carpeted over, I'm not sure what is under there. Also, several of the edges have strings sticking out. If you're looking for speed and price, this is your place. If you want high quality work, you should probably try somewhere else.

These men did not speak English. They damaged my wall. My closet doors needed to be taken off to install the carpet and the doors were installed incorrectly. The carpet on my stair case was not put on properly. The carpet in my bedroom is now rippling; It took me 3 times to get someone to come out and install the carpet correctly on the stairs. The final man who came out did a great job. I would never use this company again.

The carpet has buckled since installation. I called customer service and two of the original installers came to check it and said that the sub-floor was bad. I called customer service back and they sent Sam to look at it. He said the same thing. I asked if they were experienced carpet installers would they not have known that the sub-floor needed to be replaced first or the carpet would not lay properly? He said he would get back to me in two days. He never did. I have since made four more calls to customer service which have never been returned.

Within a couple of years after purchasing our carpet we started seeing gray spots. They sent someone out and he agreed that it shouldn't be happening. This was in November, and we decided to wait until after the holidays to have work done. Soon after the holiday season we received a letter saying that they were not responsible for the problem! We called to try and figure this out and they were very unresponsive. We did finally talk with someone who told us the gentleman who had come out had been in an accident and his calls weren't being returned. They sent somebody else out who agreed with the first guy about the problem. 3 days later they sent us a letter telling us they would refund 2850 dollars. They removed the carpet for free, which was nice (although they were late). We also bought hardwood flooring from them and they matched a competitor's price ($4.28/sq.ft.), but were not willing to take back two left over bundles. Things did end alright, but it was difficult.

The crew was on time and worked quickly and confidently. The quality and workmanship of their work was top-notch. The only problem was that they made no attempt to contain the cement and tile dust produced when they removed the floor tile (hanging plastic at both ends of the foyer would have effectively trapped the dust), so the dust made a big mess and coated everything on both floors of the house. I talked to several people at the Dublin store and at the main office who made no effort to help. It took many phone calls and much aggravation before I finally reached the right person, and she arranged to pay for cleaning the carpet and furniture. There was still a big mess everywhere else that I had to clean.

THE QUALITY WAS FINE, BUT THE SERVICE STUNK. THEY WERE COMING BACK TO FINISH UP WHAT NEEDED TO BE SPECIAL ORDERED. THE PIECE WASN'T IN, SO THEY NEVER CALLED AND NEVER SHOWED UP. I HAD TO CALL THEM TO GET THEM TO COME BACK AND FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAD A PROBLEM WITH FUMES WITH THE CARPET, AND THEY DIDN'T OFFER TO HAVE IT CLEANED. I HAD TO CLEAN IT MYSELF.

THEY TOOK A SAMPLE OF THE ORIGINAL CARPET INSTALLED TO NOTIFY THE INSPECTOR THAT ORIGINALLY CAME OUT AND INSPECTED THE FIRST JOB. I WAS TOLD SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT ME. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM AND I AM THE ONE WHO HAS TO KEEP INITIAL CONTACT WITH THE COMPANY.

FIRST INSTALLERS CUT CARPET WRONG AND ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR BY SEAMING SEVERAL PIECES TOGETHER - LOOKED TERRIBLE. RITE RUG REPLACED THE CARPET WITHOUT QUESTION. CARPET NOW LOOKS BETTER, BUT SEAMS STILL EVIDENT - TIRED OF DEALING WITH THEM. NEITHER INSTALLER CREW CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

SINCE I HAD PURCHASED A VERY EXPENSIVE WOOL CARPET, THE COMPANY SENT OUT TWO OF THEIR MORE EXPERIENCED INSTALLERS, WHICH I APPRECIATED. I REQUESTED THAT THEY USE A VERY SPECIFIC INSTALLATION TECHNIQUE AND MATERIALS DUE TO THE UNIQUENESS OF THE ROOM. WHEN INSTALLING HOWEVER, THE INSTALLERS TRIED TO PUT THE CARPET IN WITHOUT USING THE REQUESTED MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE. THEY THEN INFORMED ME THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FINISH THE INSTALLATION WITHOUT USING THE MATERIALS THAT I HAD REQUESTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. IT IS IRRITATING TO HAVE PEOPLE SECOND GUESS ME AS A CUSTOMER, IGNORING MY REQUESTS. AND THEN TO TELL ME THAT THEY HAD TRIED TO DO IT THEIR WAY, WHICH WOULD NOT WORK AND THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO ME WAS MORE THAN A LITTLE FRUSTRATING.
