As central Ohio's family owned and operated truly independent title agency for over 35+ years, Eagle does not rely on Affiliated Business Arrangements (AfBAs) or joint ventures with Realtors, lenders or attorneys that only increase costs to the consumer. Instead we pass these savings directly back to the consumer. These affiliated business arrangements are not even legal, besides, we at Eagle have never felt they were in anyones best interest - too many "conflicts of interest." What does this mean to you? It means Eagle has nothing to offer but excellent service, the greatest standards of professionalism, integrity and a pledge to handle every transaction with the attention that you deserve! Eagle is founding member of the Ohio Association of Independent Title Agents (OAITA).

Perhaps the greatest pleasure I experienced as a FSBO, beside saving a lot of money, was working with Jim Squeo at Eagle Land Title. He was informative, timely, and clear regarding the what and why of all the parts of the process. I especially appreciated his communicating and keeping me updated on a regular basis. And I learned a lot. I would highly recommend Jim and Eagle Land Title for anyone needing such services.

We have used Eagle Title for multiple title work and closings over the years and have experienced the most professional service and sincere support from everyone. Once our goals were understood, all we did was sign the documents and Eagle coordinated everything on our behalf. We would not consider using any other title company, Eagle Land Title is the best.

Fantastic service at a great price. No hidden or unexpected fees. In my opinion, an independent title company like Eagle is the only way to go for complete honesty and an unbiased assessment of your needs. Don't even consider using the "in-house" title company your realtor tries to push on you. I've used Jim and Eagle for transactions involving realtors as well as private transactions. In all cases my experience with this company has been stellar and I have the utmost respect for their integrity.

I'm trying to purchase my childhood home from my mother in Ohio despite me living in California. Trying to do the right thing and get a mortgage for my first investment property but the lender requires I contract a title company. I called Eagle Land Title Agency and am told by the person who picked up the phone that Jim will need to get back to me as he's not the one with the experience. Fine, I wait for Jim's call. Although I do admit I didn't give all of the information up front, Jim says he should be able to help. Great! I send him the contract between my mom and I that the lender has approved. In the contract I specify the seller will pay for taxes and I will pay for the closing costs including the work to be done by the title company. Jim says the contract doesn't detail out the specific charges and that I do not have a form that's normally included in other home purchases by the realtor board. He also advises I get a lawyer. I explain that I don't believe I need a lawyer and in response I'm asked to Google other title companies in the area that can help. Great! I will take my business elsewhere. Lesson learned, I will provide the most details upfront when I speak to another title company before I waste a full week to be told they don't want my business. Another important detail to note is I was asked to pay $500 upfront for the title search/examination and when I mention it to my mortgage banker, he tells me the bank will send a title order and the payment needs to be done at closing. Hope this helps everyone else out there looking for an honest title company.

"Eagle Land Title Agency has been in business almost 40 years and has closed thousands of real estate transactions. The reviews on Angie's List attest to the quality of our work and customer service. Each and every transaction is unique, some more than others, but each deserves and receives our personal attention. In this particular case, we were asked to assist in the sale within a family. The contract, being only 9 lines, was probably the shortest and most minimal contract we have ever seen; by comparison, the standard contract approved by the Columbus Bar Association and the Columbus Realtors is 13 pages in length. Although she states in the review that the lender approved it, she did not reveal that to us. Furthermore, lenders are in the business of lending money, not protecting the interests of buyers and sellers. We as title agents do not represent buyers or sellers, we provide title insurance and closing services. We suggested that the buyer consult with an attorney, which is always a good idea when doing a real estate transaction of any kind and especially for someone who is out of state and will not be attending the closing in person. One of the facts which the buyer did not provide in our first call. Within 48 hours of our first phone call, we provided the buyer with an estimate of the charges involved in closing the transaction. While we have no problem providing prospective buyers and sellers with advice and information for no charge, at the point where we were going to incur some significant out of pocket expenses, we requested that the buyer approve the estimated charges and provide $500 to cover the anticipated expenses, which she did not do. In most cases we do not require up front payments, however, in this case we were dealing with a buyer from California who would not be attending the closing here in Ohio and presented more than the usual financial risk for our company as there were no local real estate brokers or attorneys involved, thus the request for the $500. As she states in the review, she did not reveal all the pertinent facts in our initial call and that it took several days until all the relevant facts of the situation were known to us. We have been in business for almost 40 years in the Central Ohio market and have learned over the years that there are situations where once all the facts are known about a transaction, we suggest steps to help protect the potential clients and ourselves. As in this case, we suggested using an attorney and using the contract approved by the Columbus Bar Association and the Columbus Realtors. We know that sometimes people need help even when they think they do not and that is why we made the suggestions we did. It seems that the buyer did not understand that these suggestions were for her protection. Furthermore, she did not seem to appreciate our suggestions or fully understand the complexity of a transaction where the buyer is out of state and will not be attending the closing in person, and all that involves. Ultimately, we made the decision that we were not the right title agency for her and suggested she find another one to close her transaction. It is unfortunate that after spending the time and providing the advice, for no fee whatsoever, that she felt it appropriate to provide the review she did. Certainly, her attempt to impugn our honesty was uncalled for and inappropriate. If anything, we were totally upfront and direct in all communications."

Mr. James Squeo was awesome.  He questioned all the questions we had.  He communicated with us throughout the process and followed up.  He had the settlement statement ready at least 2 weeks before our closing date to review the figures and if any changes or updates needed.  Everything went so smooth and the customer service was impeccable.  The fee was reasonable compared to another title company that we used from our realtor when we sold our house 3 months prior to this transaction.  Our experience with Mr. James Squeo was just AWESOME!  He even continued to follow through with us to give us  a heads up for any important document coming into our mail.   We highly recommend Eagle Title Company in Dublin.  :)

I utilized Eagle Land Title for two separate transactions this year and couldn't be more pleased.  The staff's attention to detail and true customer service ranks as exceeding my expectations.  I interfaced with the owner Jim Squeo on both transactions and he went above and beyond what is expected in my opinion.
On my most recent transaction, I called Eagle at the last minute due to delays in getting documents.  Jim didn't hesitate to say he would help with this last minute request and would wait for me.  We had to sign and notarize documents for an out of state transaction which needed to be sent back the same day.  Jim took the time to make sure it was completed properly double and triple checking everything.
If you are in need of a Title Agency that provides old fashion customer service, you need to talk with Jim at Eagle Title first.

They were awesome. just awesome! Answered my questions and I had a lot. calmed me down when I thought the bank was forcing me to go to a much more expensive title company over $750 of what eagle was going to charge me. Processed the closing paperwork at their very convenient Dublin, OH office. they made my forms available for downloading as soon as the loan was executed. I also had a hard time finding all my paperwork and asked them to help me. Easy trip in and within minutes they sifted through my original loan papers and found what I needed to send the bank. I had almost daily e-mail/phone call contact for the first 2 weeks of the process and they were always very responsive!
oh they also saved my sanity a bunch of times.

Eagle Land Title Agency were awesome. I used their $99 express service which wasn't the whole Title Fee but it was useful. The rest of the fees were considerably lower than was projected at other places, so I was real happy with them. Plus they are knowledgeable and great to work with. They are really responsive which I like. Much more than the bank! The Title Agency handles the closing on - we just refinanced our house - and handles all the paperwork to do with location. You go to the bank and get the loan, and then the Title Company actually close the loan. They are the guys who, because the loan isn't actually right here, you to to a Title Agency and they go through all the paperwork when you do a mortgage. They were very responsive. They were the best part about the whole transaction. Dealing with the Bank can be trying at times, but they were great. It is a family owned business and they are independent. By using them, I felt like they weren't working with the Bank directly, so the fees and everything ended up being lower and I was just real happy with their service. They were great.
