I dropped off several items including a new dress to be cleaned. The items were returned to me when promised. I went to wear the new dress a few days later and it was completely destroyed. The dress was from Jcrew and had ribbons and embellishments on the front of the dress. The ribbons were completely unraveled and a tangled mess. Foil that had been put on the jewels to protect them was still on there. It looked as though the dress had been put into a washing machine and beat  so much that it had destroyed the delicate ribbons and everything was a complete tangled mess. I've never had an issue with the other delicate items I've purchased from Jcrew. I returned the dress to Dublin Cleaners and was told they had to return it to the main branch for review. My husband received a call saying they would give us a letter saying they cleaned it according to the recommendations and that Jcrew was to blame for faulty material and manufacturing. It would be up to Jcrew to provide a refund. Regarding Dublin Cleaners my concern was the dress was returned to me without any notification that anything was wrong, the foil was not removed after the cleaning process and no apology was given. We were told the dress and letter would be ready to be picked up the following day. I returned 2 days later and the dress was not there. I called the main branch and the dress was still sitting there waiting for a letter to be written. I received a call an hour later from Brian regarding the issue stating he was very concerned with it being a dress from Jcrew and began bad mouthing the company and their clothing. I had called Jcrew regarding the issue but the dress must be returned within 30 days and it has been 29 days since the purchase. Due to his concern about Jcrew taking responsibility Brian offered to give me the refund of the purchase price of the dress in credit toward future cleaning services and this being my 3rd incident with Dublin Cleaners I declined asking for a refund for the cost of the dress and for the cleaning price he agreed stating he was buying the dress from me and I would not receive the dress back.

Regarding prior incidents:
In October 2009 I dropped of a new white dress to be cleaned for my wedding rehearsal and it was returned to me with dirt across the entire back of the dress. They sent it back to be dry cleaned again and it was fine.
In November of 2009 I dropped of my wedding dress for it to be pressed. When I picked it up it was a wrinkled mess so they repressed it and we picked it up the night before the wedding. Thankfully my mom checked the dress after it was picked up and it was still a complete wrinkled mess so my mom spent 2 hours ironing the dress the night before the wedding. We took pictures and I called Margret at Dublin Cleaners after we returned from our honeymoon and she apologized and was so very kind about it and provided a refund. We decided to give them another try but after the last incident we will not be returning to Dublin Cleaners.

They always crease the sleeves and they have for 20 years. They look like shirts you've pressed at home. They don't fold things that I've told them not to fold and things like that. They do an excellent job. Do not remember cost.

I ASKED ABOUT THE COST OF AN ITEM, WHICH SEEMED HIGHER THAN WHAT I REMEMBERED IN THE PAST. INSTEAD OF ANSWERING MY QUESTION POLITELY THE EMPLOYEE HELPING ME STARTED YELLING AT ME THAT THEIR PRICES HAVE NOT CHANGED, AND SHE IS SURE THAT IS WHAT I PAID BEFORE. SHE TOLD ME IF I DIDN'T LIKE THEIR PRICES I COULD JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. SHE WAS INCREDIBLY RUDE AND HOSTILE. I FOUND OUT LATER THAT ALL SHE HAD TO DO WAS LOOK UP MY PREVIOUS ORDER, AND TELL ME WHAT I HAD PAID BEFORE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE.
