This company is horrific and conduct themselves in an appalling manner. I have had terrible experiences with them. We own are unit, and have for a long time, so are unfortunately tied to them, otherwise would never give them our business after having dealt with them. It took four months for them to approve and repair a sewer pipe leak in my basement. The sewage was continuously leaking during this period and damaged my hot water tank, which I was not able to repair until they fixed the leak. So, I had no hot water for months waiting for their repair which they communicated nothing about unless I followed up aggressively. Maggots developed which I could not clean well without hot water, as well as the sewage itself. The leak affected my neighbors as well, who have small children and were concerned about the toxicity of the sewage. This did not cause the association to handle the matter any faster, despite relaying this to them. The leak also damaged items I had in storage in my basement, and my basement still smells like sewage. Once they approved the repair, they disputed me on as many charges as possible. They had to enter through my kitchen and they recognized their responsibility to replace the cabinets that were removed so they could assess the pipe, but refused to reimburse for a sink and faucet installation after all the damages I had already incurred, because if it failed upon reinstallation, it was old. This is their reasoning, despite it not aligning with their condo declarations which are absurdly laid out as is. This is a small snippet of the ordeal, which is still ongoing, as I've had to file a complaint with the BBB in order to get them to response. They are terrible at communicating and wholly negligent, and do not conduct themselves in a professional whatsoever, despite repeatedly complaints and requests. They did not hesitate to ignore and attempt to diminish me throughout this process despite being a long time tenant. They do not value their tenants whatsoever, and I am AMAZED they are still in business. They truly conduct themselves in an appalling manner. A little decency would have gone a long way to resolve any issues I've had with them, but they refuse to extend that despite my repeated communications regarding their neglect and the nature of the repair. I have experienced this awful service with more than just the property manager, Robin Bollinger, but every other staff member I have communicated with as well. The Board seems holds themselves to such high esteem they do not involve themselves with, or respond to, tenant inquires or matters, even when communicated to them by the property manager. They consider themselves beyond reproach and are corrupt in their dealings. They behave immune to consequence and any consideration of their tenants and their welfare. I love the neighborhood, neighbors, and unit for the most part. It is a tremendous shame the whole association (from property managers to receptionists, and especially "the Board") puts forth no effort to conduct itself in a professional manner whatsoever. They charge high condo fees given the area, expect tenants to pay on time and keep up with all their association rules (like not growing vegetables in your front garden area, flowers only,) and if it comes time for them do to a repair, which is very rare as almost everything is expected to be maintained by the tenant, they will dispute, dodge, and neglect their duties to the core, and will ignore you and attempt to humiliate you throughout the process, as they did with me.

One of the major property management companies in Central Ohio. All our interactions with their people, from bookkeepers through the principals of the company, have been excellent. Additionally, they support and encourage participation in Community Associations Institute, which is a condominium association/homeowner association trade group that provides educational resources and networking for property managers and volunteer members of association boards.
Description of Work: Case Bowen has been property manager for Cooperwoods Condominium since June 1004. The Board of Trustees has voted to renew the annual contracts each year. Coopewoods Condominium conducts surveys of residents annually, and Case Bowen gets high marks each year. Broadly, Case Bowen is responsible for bookkeeping, collections, receipt of condo fee payments, and insurance matters. There is joint responsibility with volunteer committees to oversee and manage general maintenance and landscaping. Case Bowen is a valued part of our team. They work with us and on several occassions have put in extra time when needed. Probably some of that was technically billable as extra work under our contract, but they never billed for anything but the agreed upon management fee, which currently is about $16,000 per year, but paid in monthly installments. The Board most recently renewed the contract, for calendar 2013, in September. Their accounting department is excellent.
