They did a great job, promptly providing an estimate and installing a radon pump in our basement. They worked with us to find the best, most indiscreet place outside our home to place the pipe/vent, and performed a follow-up radon test which showed reduced radon levels in our basement to below EPA standards- issue solved. Kevin was very nice to work with, and I definitely recommend them.

I was very pleased with Aadvanced Aair. The system installers - Tim and Mike - arrived right at the scheduled time. They worked quickly and efficiently, but took their time, when necessary, to ensure the quality of their work (i.e., they did not cut corners). They took the time to patiently (and cordially) answer all questions that I put to them. I was pleased with their analysis and workmanship in installing the PVC suction "piping", especially where it needed to run through my unfinished basement, connecting the two crawl spaces. Tim's installation solution for this problem was efficient and unobtrusive. Kevin followed up their installation by retesting the radon levels to ensure that the system was functioning properly. He was also very easy to work with, both before and after the installation.
Description of Work: Installed a Radon Mitigation System: Sealed two crawl spaces with 6ml visqueen. Covered and sealed sump pump pit. Installed 4" PVC discharge vent. Installed sub-slab drain tile suction system with active fan. Installed visual system monitor. Retested radon levels (per EPA protocol).

Tim and Michael showed up on time, and after discussing the installation process, commenced to install the unit as specified. The weather was extrememly cold that day (below 0 wind chill) and I never heard a peep of complaints. The installation looked super when they completed it (which was very quick, it seemed). The unit is very quiet, and unless I'm downstairs by the sump unit, I don't even hear it. I am very satisfied with this company, and would use them again if the need arose.

Aadvanced Air performed this service to my satisfaction. The crew was on time and worked effectively and completed the job within the time frame they stated. The two men in the crew were very friendly and professional. They cleaned up and we are very happy with the outcome. Unlike other stories I've heard from other consumers with other companies, Aadvanced Air placed the piping exactly were I preferred and the job looks great.

Kevin and team were very responsive. Once I called they were able to get out quickly and get the system installed the way I wanted it for the price I needed it to be. They cleaned up very well once the work was complete and even fixed a sump pump issue while onsite. I couldn't have asked for a more complete job from start to finish.

Everything went extremely well from our realtor getting the estimate for us to having Advanced Air come out and install the mitigation system.
Description of Work: After receiving a few estimates we selected Advanced Air to perform radon mitigation at our new home. There were two installers that came to the house and I worked with one of them to explain their recommendations on where to place the fan and pipe on the outside of the home. We chose to do it right from the sump pump and they were done in about two hours. We scheduled the follow-up radon level test to be done in a couple of days.

They come out to do the rating. Then, they come out to put in the system. It took a couple days for the whole process. Within a week, everything was done.

From the first phone call to the last radon test, this company was very professional and courteous. They were always on time, they were clean and careful and very pleasant to work with. The owner was great on the phone and in person. They gentlemen that installed the unit were very courteous and took their shoes off when coming into the house. They were pleasant and cheerful and worked very hard. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

They came right out and gave us a written estimate. Then they followed up on it. They did a good job explaining what to expect. We got the estimate because we are going to be selling our house and the new owners will be making the decision. We got three estimates and we don?t remember what their price was.

I am a radon tester and tested my own house. With the results at 11.3pCi/L I called Kevin Mullins of Aadvanced Aair immediately. We scheduled a appointment, his staff arrived on time, created a plan along with asking for my input as to the location of the external piping. Installation was quick and the areas were clean of parts and debris before he left. The system was tested to make sure the system was functioning. I followed up with another radon test and the results were 2.6 pCi/L with the EPA guidelines of 4pCi/L. Thanks to Kevin and his staff for their help.
Description of Work: Installation of an Active Soil Depressurization Radon Mitigation system. The sump pump lid was sealed after connecting the pvc tubing to the exterior where a fan was attached and the stack running up the side of the house past the gutter.

We did experience some of the issues described below - a bit of a lag between calls, etc. However, it didn't really bother me for some reason. Now, Krogers, Meijers, my credit card companies, etc., they are 24/7 companies, so I have different expectations. This is a small company run by a guy who's frequently out in the field. If I didn't get a call back, I just called the next morning and dealt with a pleasant person. System was installed - poor guys set off the alarm (a problem with the real estate company not communicating, not theirs), and this slowed them down, but they didn't say a word about it (we found out from the neighbors). Anyway, system seamlessly installed. They came back to check. Pretty smooth.

The buyer of the house that is up for sale requested a radon mediation system as a part of the remediation portion of the contract. The buyer selected AAdvanced AAir to do the job. After the work was completed I went to the house to see the system. The house was as neat and clean as I'd left it. That means a lot. The system appears to be working, the fan is running, and all seems to be well. As of today, no concerns have been received from the buyer of the house of the new system that was installed.

They gave me a the estimate over the phone, which was great. Two guys came out to do the work and they even took their shoes off (before coming in the house) without being asked. They were very professional. They got the job done in a hour and a half, when they originally said it would take 3 hours. I was very impressed. They did everything they said they were going to do and even cleaned up. The work was done on a Friday and before they left, I asked if they wanted payment for the work. They said, "Oh, just give it to the girl on Monday. I was pretty impressed with that too. I am calling today to give her my charge card number for the payment. There is a guarantee on the system and they are also going to come out and monitor it for me. I would use them again.

I initially contacted Kevin Mullins in 2002 when I discovered an elevated Radon level in my home. He came out quickly and installed a system. A repeat test showed the levels in acceptable range, and I was pleased with the work at the time. A recent retest showed elevated levels. It was difficult to contact him this time, but we did set a date and time for him to come to my home. I took the day off work and was told he would be there in the morning. When he did not come by noon, I telephoned his office. He had written down the wrong date on his calendar but on my insistence, did finally come to my home in the early afternoon. He could find nothing wrong with his system, so simply recommended that I re-test. I did perform the re-test. The levels are still elevated. I called his company again. His secretary told me that she was actually on the phone with him at that very moment and he would call me back promptly. That was five days ago. He has never called.

On Monday, I stayed home waiting, but he never showed. Late that afternoon, he left a message that he forgot about our appt. that morning. He then left 10-15 more messages telling me he had to come get the equipment that day. I got home late, as I told him I would, and planned to give him a call the next day. I had just started eating at 9:45pm when he was aggressively pounding on my door and jamming the doorbell and calling me while he was standing outside my door. I do not know this man well enough to know what he is going to do, and with that type of aggressive behavior, I was not going to open my door. He banged & rang & called for another 10-15 minutes. I haven't been this scared in my own house, ever. He finally left and I put his equipment out on the porch. He continued calling every 5 - 15 minutes until after 11pm. He came this morning at 7:30am and picked up the equipment from the porch, but is still calling me incessantly wanting more info, acting as if he did nothing wrong.
Description of Work: I recently purchased a house and the sellers chose Advanced Air as the radon abatement contractor. They installed a radon abatement system, which looks well done,but did not do a follow-up test to be sure it was working. After I moved in, I called Advanced Air on June 11th and left a voice mail requesting follow-up testing. I did not receive a call back, so on June 12th I emailed them at info@radonguy.com. Again no response. On June 14th, I asked my realtor to help, and he called Kevin Mullins, the owner of Advanced Air. I received a call from Kevin on June 15th and we scheduled the re-test to start on June 20th at 5:30pm. On June 20th, Kevin did not arrive for our scheduled appointment, but left a message stating he would be coming by at 6:30, which he did. We scheduled the test to end on Monday at 8:30am (June 25th) and Kevin said he would be at my house to pick up his equipment at that time. I told him that I work late on Monday evenings so I would not be available later in the day.

Communication was poor. Contacting them was very difficult. The owner is very abrupt, demanding, and disrespectful. I would not recommend using them as they were not professional and did not do the things in a timely manner.

Advanced Air seems very professional. They did a good job of cleaning up after they installed the system, which required drilling, etc. I also appreciate that they contacted me to retest, as I would have forgotten to follow up on this.
