"Hello, we certainly apologize for any misunderstanding or miscommunication in this regard (and the sq. ft. minimum is listed on our website); however, in those cases where a project is out of the scope of our work, I personally make it a goal as the President of the company to provide an additional recommendation of a company who can be of assistance. Additionally, on occasion there are mitigating circumstances and we have been able to take on projects that are outside the normal scope of work, so we certainly endeavor to do so whenever possible. However, the vast majority of the time (as I keep track of each call), this is not a question, and we are endeavoring to obtain as much project information from each potential client at the outset, so as recommend the best course of action for him/her and prior to each appointment. Each and every call or contact is very important to us, and it is our goal to point the client in the right direction and offer assistance where possible, in those rare cases where we are not able to be of service. "Thank you for the feedback, which we review at length. Please note that as the President of Buckeye Basements, I have written records of personally calling the homeowner's wife on 4 occasions,and then emailing as well to obtain more information. We certainly appreciate everyone's busy schedules. So, I endeavored to be a specific as possible in my voicemail and explained that our project minimum size is currently 500 sq. ft. I received an email back saying that they would have to measure, but that the project size should fit within that scope. Due to the difficulty (over a 2 week period) of reaching the homeowners, and in order to accommodate a meeting date that was requested, I directed the info to one of our sales representatives (as neither the Vice President nor I could meet on the date requested). Our sales representative offered a Monday evening as the date for the appointment, but did not hear back to confirm from the owners. It was apparently a misunderstanding, so he immediately came out the next day. We apologize for any inconvenience in this regard. Typically, I spend up to 20 minutes or so qualifying each lead and verify that the project desired is within the scope of our company's work. Due to the unusual amount of phone tag for this particular project (no doubt due to everyone's busy schedules), we were not able to have the conversation that would typically have ensued. Again, we try to be as accommodating as possible, which explains the number of phone calls and emails by both myself and our sales representative.
