Insurance Agencies
There was a devastating fire at our rental property. We made a claim against our business key policy to repair the damage. It took 5 months to get the money to begin renovations during which time we had to pay the mortgage with no rental income coming in. The first estimate from the adjuster incorrectly showed our policy as "Actual Cash Value" when it was actually "Replacement Cost." That took 2 months to straighten out. The second estimate did not cover all the damage and tried to avoid certain repairs and profit margin for the contractor.
This was our first claim of any kind against any of the policies provided by American Family. They promptly cancelled our coverage claiming the number of claims as the reason. We had made ONE claim! We are moving all of our insurance to other carriers.
