Van Martin Roofing

We hired Van Martin Roofing to reroof our 3000 sq ft (approx) in March 2013. Last week, we had my wife's bathroom extensively remodeled--to include installing a new vent fan. When the workers were venting the fan to the roof outlet, they noticed substantial wetness in the attic insulation. When they tore out the existing soffit over the tub/shower area, they found about two gallons of water suspended in plastic sheathing (which they pumped out). I immediately called Van Martin (3/29/21)--as we have a 10-year warranty on labor and a 50-year warranty on the shingles. The lady I spoke with (Cheryl) was very friendly and professional. She verified my warranty information and said their scheduler (Stephanie) would contact me soon to schedule repairs. Stephanie called me on Monday (4/5/21) and said their techs would be out on Tuesday between 12:00 and 1:30PM. She called again Tuesday morning to say, due to a schedule change, the techs could be there a couple hours earlier. The techs (Gene and Scott) arrived about 10:30AM and I explained the situation to them. They inspected the roof (and attic area) and found several "nail pops" where some of the shingles had risen up. They also found that a collar on one of the vent stack pipes had separated from the roof. All probably due to freezing/thawing over the years. They made the necessary repairs and went on their way. They were also very professional and friendly--answering all my questions and explaining what they'd found during their inspection. All in all, it was a great customer service experience. No hassles, prompt scheduling, thorough repairs. Easy peasy!

They gave me a quote that was less than my insurance deductible. Then they were able to come out and perform the repairs three weeks earlier than anticipated! They did an absolutely fabulous job, you can't tell there was ever a missing shingle. Everyone we dealt with from beginning to end was friendly and helpful. The gentleman who actually performed the repairs was nice enough to bring our temporary cover down for us and left not a single piece of trash in my yard. I truly appreciate the service they provided. I would recommend them to anyone!

Great! Jim showed up on time. I showed him the photos taken by the home inspector of the areas on the roof that needed sealing. Jim sealed all the areas identified, including a few the home inspector missed, and Jim provided me with pictures of the repairs. I purchased the tune-up through Angies List and it was a good value.

These guys are great. They figured out sources of complex leaks that other companies were not able to. Smart, neat, clean, respectul. I have now had them do 4 different jobs for me.

It was great. We had to reschedule because of weather and I was given a lot of notice and a new time that was asap. I enjoyed talking to the office and the repairman. Both were well informed and articulate. They really know how to do business. So far, no more leaking.

The quote was fair and on par with other high quality roofers I contacted. They were very knowledgeable. The reason we did not go with them was because the job would have required a 3rd party remove the siding on the dormer before roofing, and then would have had to be reinstalled. We found a roofing contractor that was able to work around the existing siding. While the correct way would have likely been to remove the siding to flash behind it, we have long, overhanging eves that we felt would adequately protect from the weather and felt comfortable with flashing and caulk.

They did a good job. They were expensive though.
