My mover was Eddie and his preteen kids plus an assortment of other teenagers. Yes, preteen! They didn’t bring tools so had to borrow mine. Then, they nearly destroyed my furniture and my house. Eddie was too busy preaching his religious views to me instead of watching what was going on. When I texted his father (the owner) to let him know how the move went, I got a really inappropriate text back from Eddie, who did not claim responsibility. You can see my more detailed review plus 20 more pictures on yelp where a number of nasty and sadistic Appalachian Ohioans flagged my review as funny.

Great. We had a lot of stuff. Overall, it took 8 truckloads and a little over 2 days to move it all. Rates were hourly per worker and ranged anywhere from 2 to 5 at any given time. The guys were great and treated our stuff as if it was their own. Would definitely use again and have recommended them to friends.

We were very pleased with the guys who showed up for the first move (Bob, Ben, Devin, and Dustin) and the second part of the move a week later (Jeff and Ben). They were on time both days and helped us so much (we hadn't moved in 35+ years and were not as prepared as we should have been and had a lot of questions). They were very careful with our furniture and boxes, and we didn't have any damage from the move. They let us know through the process what they were doing. They moved very quickly and were very polite to my husband and me, and very caring of our belongings. They placed all the furniture and boxes in the rooms we requested. It was a very cold day in January with ice and snow on the ground - definitely not the best of conditions. My husband and I felt the price was very fair for the work done, and the work done by the guys was fantastic. We would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to others.

Two strong men did all the bulky items, couches, recliners, beds, dressers, etc, in a short period of time. Hope to hire again when it's time to move in to the newly built home! Thanks, guys!

We had four men and two trucks. Four-bedroom house to move locally. All four men were professional, all day move. They worked their butts off all day long. They did not stop until the job was done. They were very very cautious about our walls, our floors, and our furniture. They kept asking a lot of questions if everything was OK. We had a hard move, refrigerators that had to come up from the basement, treadmills, ellipticals machines, all types of stairs floors, hard turn around. They never got frustrated. Safe and sound is very reasonably priced. You wonder about the price, you think it's too good to be true, but it's not. They do a great job and have very very reasonable prices. Do not get scammed by the higher-priced companies. They showed up on time, and did not leave until the job was done. They told me it would be $100 per hour, and it was $100 per hour. It took them 11 hours to move my house. They had to disassemble beds, bunkbeds, I'll kinds of stuff. Which I'm surprised they got it done in that time. We had a lot of stuff to move.

Fairly well. One table got broken and they didn't stay to set up the beds like they said they would. But the price couldn't be beat.

Safe & Sound responded promptly to my request for help, they were willing to do a small job, their pricing was very reasonable, the two guys did a good job, and the owner was on top of things.

I called several moving companies for quotes and received wildly different responses for cost. I liked what I read in the reviews on this website, so I decided to hire Safe and Sound based on speaking with the owner, their prices and those reviews. It was the best decision! They arrived on time and ready to work. It took them less than four hours to get everything put in place where I wanted it in my new home. The staff were professional and personable and took great care of my belongings. Nothing was broken and a small gouge in some doorway trim was fixed immediately and well. I was originally quoted for one truck and three movers, but the owner accompanied the truck and decided to upgrade us to two trucks and five movers when he saw the amount of stuff we had because, although the hourly rate for that would be higher, in the end it would save us money because it would be much less time. I really appreciated that honesty. I don't want to move again any time soon, but if I ever do, I'll definitely be calling them again!

These 2 guys were great. They knew their business and was able to put this safe through the french doors although it was a tight fit. It took 4.5 hrs of smooth organized and deliberate moving and even I doubted that it could be done. I would use again if I ever had to move large objects. I would further recommend them without hesitation. They were super!

The move went incredibly well. The 3 guys were very experienced and did a very nice job packing items and carefully moving furniture. They really did a fantastic job and the price is unbeatable. I was incredibly impressed with the job they did. I would highly, highly recommend hiring this moving company.

Three men from Safe and Sound arrived promptly at 9 AM like they said. In approximately two hours, they had all the large items from a four bedroom house (to include a full basement) loaded into the truck and on our way to our new home in Beavercreek OH. Items moved included: two sofas, dressers, oak wall units, tables/chairs, antique secretary, beds, table saw, two large and heavy tool benches, washer and dryer and much more. Once at the new location, they would stop with each piece and let us place felt pads on the legs/feet to avoid scratching a new hardwood floor. In a little over two hours, everything was off the truck and in place at our new home. We were most impresses with their professionalism, speed, efficiency, cost.and most important, the quality of their work. I highly recommend Safe and Sound Moving and would not hesitate to use them again should the need arise.

We contacted Safe and Sound about moving us from Greenville to Xenia.
 Ron Sherrill, owner,  explained what they could do for us and gave an estimate based on the information we provided. We set up a date for the move that worked for our schedule. Ron checked in with us the day before the move to be sure everything was ready. On the day of the move, Ron showed up first and walked thru the house our house verifying what was to be moved. His employees and 2 trucks showed up right on time. The movers, Bob, Jeff and Dave, were very friendly, courteous and very professional. They took care to insure that our furniture was protected, wrapped with blankets, stretch wrap, etc and handled everything with care.  They loaded everything from the first house and never took a break. They were waiting for us at the new house when we got to Xenia. Bob and Jeff again were very efficient and placed all our furniture exactly where we requested it be placed. Again they did not take any breaks in the unloading process. They took care to insure nothing was damaged and even put coverings down to protect the carpets. When they were finished they took the time to be sure we were satisfied where all the furniture had been placed. They then cleaned up anything that was out of place and left things just as they were when they arrived. The cost for the move was very reasonable for the time involved, approximately 6 hours, and the move distance, 50+ miles between the two houses. We were totally satisfied with the service provided, especially with the actual movers, Bob and Jeff, they were very professional.
We would not hesitate to recommend Safe & Sound Moving, this is a good company.

Scheduling the move was very easy.  I spoke with company to check availability and then confirmed and scheduled our moving appointment via text.  The day of the move, everything went smoothly.  Movers showed up early on move day.  They were able to complete the job in 5 and a half hours.  None of our belongings were damaged and they took time to ensure they did not bang up our walls or scratch floors.  The movers were very personable and professional.

Ron and the guys showed up promptly at 8am when he said they would be there and got straight to work.  They moved everything I asked them to without hesitation and got this big job done in 9 hours and well under what I budgeted for the move originally.  They were friendly, professional and accommodating.  I really couldn't have asked for a better moving experience.

The supervisor came out beforehand to do a walk-through and provide an accurate estimate.



The movers were very careful with my furniture and to not mark up the walls going up and down the stairs. I even saw their supervisor circling back around once during the move to check that things were progressing OK.



Cost included a surcharge for using a credit card (I believe 3%). However, they were a lot cheaper than Two Men and a Truck.

They did not ask for a deposit or a credit card on file up front; it was all transacted on a handshake.

Quick and fast everything was placed as requested.

What a great experience!  The three guys that moved us - Michael, Mike, and Beau - were an awesome team!  They arrived promptly at the designated time and got right to work.  They took very good care in getting our stuff packed into the truck.  They used pads on just about everything and used plastic wrap to hold the pads in place to protect the furniture and the walls.  They worked well together as a team.  Beau took beds apart, as well as the treadmill, and unhooked the washer and dryer - then he was the one to put them back together at the new house.  Seems like the perfect system to make sure things got done correctly.  All three of the guys worked so hard, expeditiously, and with few breaks.  I would highly recommend Safe & Sound!
