Quality of Materials: The salesman told us the material would be 1/4and quot; thick and not the thin material we see at home improvement stores and we were shown a sample of the material. Neither the tub cover nor the surround were 1/4and quot; thick. The thickness was comparable to a surround we had purchased from Lowe's for another bathroom.
Quality of Workmanship: The pipe was not level when installed, so tub water spout has a slight tilt upwards. Inside corner of tub near shower head pools water towards corner. Tub has some give in one spot along wall (which I anticipate will cause a problem in the future). Hole was cut through opposite (bedroom) wall when removing drywall. We had understanding that the silicone caulking would be applied to the back of the unit and totally sealed from behind/underneath. The silicone was actually applied on the outside and was excessive at ceiling and corners was uneven. We were told that the drywall around the tub would be removed and replaced to the ceiling, so I did not remove the old wallpaper and excess mud from drywalling. Drywall was only replace to top of old tile and there was a small edge that new wall unit did not cover due to out-of-square wall. Caulking was applied over the old wallpaper and mud so I had to scrape it all off to remove the old wallpaper and reapply the caulk.
