I had an excellent experience with Hendricks. I had never actually used them before. I live near Columbus, but I was visiting family in Vandalia for the day on the Friday before Memorial Day . About halfway down, I noticed a large vibration. Then my dashboard transmission light came on. The engine was losing power and had a vibration when starting and then driving away. I decide to continue on to Vandalia. I was able to look up automotive reviews on Angie's List. I dreaded that it was going to be an expensive transmission repair and that I wasn't even going to get anybody to look at it on the holiday weekend.

I saw the good reviews for Hendricks and gave them a call. I explained my situation and he told me to bring it over right away and they would look at it. They were very professional and we went on a test drive. He had suspicions that it wasn't a transmission problem and it had more to do with the engine. When we got back, they checked out the engine and found a problem with one of the over-coils that regulated the timing for one of the engine cylinders. They said that it would be a pretty easy fix and they were right. Since I needed to have my transmission transfer case fluid replaced, I had them do that as well.

They were able to have it fixed by early the next day on Saturday. They told me the transfer case fluid definitely needed to be replaced. The bill for both jobs came to $250, which I thought was very reasonable. They were very accommodating and professional at every step.  I avoided that potentially expensive  transmission repair. I highly recommend them to anyone.

It was easy to get an appointment. We dropped the car off and picked it up the next day. They are very friendly, honest and knowledgeable. I would tell friends and family to expect to have the job done right.

My truck had a and quot;missand quot;. I took it to Hendricks and they quickly diagnosed the problem. They called and explained the problem to me and got my approval before proceeding. I had taken it to a couple of other places before going to Hendricks. The other places were not able to identify the problem, but Hendricks quickly resolved and completed repairs.

They are maybe a little higher in price but they are also family owned and very honest. I guess for quality work you end up paying an extra dollar. They were just excellent! Now, they are a smaller business so they may have your car for a few days to do the repair but when you get it back it will be running great.
