Cundiff Town & Country Tree

Due to their workload, had to wait two weeks to have the work done but that was not an issue.
Overall, they did an excellent job especially with the tree reshaping.

Went well from getting the estimate to the finished work. Cleanup was excellent.

I requested an estimate on trimming a large silver maple tree in my front yard.  I had to wait about a week, but thought this was reasonable given the wind storms and emerald ash borer infestation in the area.  I got a very professional estimate, and some good information about my tree.  They came and trimmed the dead wood out of the tree about 3 weeks later.  The work took 2-3 hours, and when they were done, the tree looked great and the yard was raked clean of any debris.  I was very happy with the service.

We got them off Angie's List. They came the same day that we called them. They called us back a couple of hours later and asked if it was a good time to come, and we said yes. They were very, very on the spot with it. The price was less than what we thought it would be, so we were happy about that. They were very efficient. We were going to have them cut down three trees, but they said that we don’t have to cut the one in the front. They said that they will just cut the roots that were heading towards our house; that was our big concern. I don’t think they even charged us for that. Then with the two trees in the back; they were out of there in under an hour. Everything was cleaned up perfectly.

Very impressed this company.   The company owner is a certified arborist so he was also able to educate me regarding the overall health of all my trees and things I needed to watch for specifically with my Ash trees (due to the Emerald Ash borer).
Cundiff's quote was much lower than other quotes I had recieved for this work.   One company wanted nearly $3500.   Cundiff's estimate was $2200.    More impressive, Cundiff does tree removal and pruning manually - ie, without the use of trucks, etc.   This was important for me as they were able to complete the job without any damage to my lawn.   They also checked with me thoughout the job to make sure pruning was done to the right level.   True pruning was done to the trees, not "topping" them - this is much better for the health of the trees.   They also offered to cut the tree trunks and stack them for firewood.   Finally, they cleaning up so thoroughly after completion, it was hard to tell they had been there.
Due to the great price, great level of service and professionalism that Cundiff Town & Country delivers, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that has tree removal or pruning needs.

They do very high quality work.? They are thorough.? They do good clean up when most of them just leave mess in your lawn.? They do reasonably quick work.

At 10 am on the morning of 3/28/12 Mr. Jim Cundiff arrived at our home to give us an estimate on the above work.  His quote of $750.00 was well below what we had expected to have to pay.  We accepted the bid and his crew arrived at 1 pm to perform the work which they did quickly, efficiently and professionally.  They removed the trees, cleaned up all the debris and replaced everything they moved.  They left our yard in better shape than it was before they came.  The tree in the front looks way better and I cn now cut the grass without running over the surface roots.  I am extremely pleased with this company and would recommend them to anyone without reservation and will use them in the future if needed.

They did everything I wanted them to do. Plus they gave some great advice and they were on time. They cleaned up and I thought what they did to the tree was wonderful and I thought the price was perfect.

.They arrived and went to work quickly and efficiently cutting and removing the trees.   They returned later the same day to remove the stump and complete the clean up.  The whole experience went well.

I have used Cundiff 3 times over the last 10 years.  The first time they removed 5 trees from an open yard  and the last time one.  They are fast, careful, and thorough.  They generally are not the cheapest but you get  really first rate work.  I have had 2 other cheaper services to do some work that was satisfactory but not as good and I once had a service that dropped a large limb on my house and left a pile of wood in my front yard.  So I have seen the full range of service and I would recommend Cundiff especially in difficult places or if I was concerned about my lawn and other landscaping.  He is also a certified auborist and can help save damaged or diseased trees.

The experience was very good. They are kind of busy and so the response time was not immediate but their punctuality was excellent.

Even in the face of some equipment failures, they were quick and did a great job cleaning up.  Didn't slack on the stump grinding like some tree services do.  The crew was professional and courteous, even when our dog got out and was sprinting through the work zone.   I suppose most importantly, the trees didn't hit the house or fence on the way down. 

They were not the cheapest quote I received, but the information I got on Angie's list convinced me that it was worth paying a little extra, and I'm glad I did. 

The Cundiffs did a flawless job from beginning to end.  They were courteous and professional to work with, and their crews did a fantastic job.  They removed an elm tree that was surrounded by other trees without any trouble, and they did a beautiful job thinning and trimming a large linden tree away from our house.  A large limb came out of one of our maples just a few days before they were to come trim, and they gave me suggestions and an adjusted (reasonable) estimate to perform additional work the morning they arrived.  The ground was a bit wet, and they made every effort to keep their equipment from damaging the lawn.  When I asked for the firewood to be left, they asked me exactly how long I wanted it cut.  The yard was raked and cleared of all sticks and debris before they left.  I could not have asked them to do a better job. 

They do an excellent work.  They are a little pricey.  We have 50-60 foot trees; so when they are taking down any tree, we have a lot of issues.  We have used other tree services; but the only thing I can tell about them is if we have a big problem, we would call them as opposed to any of the others.  I would tell others about their expertise and knowledge.  They know what they are doing, and they can recommend treatments as well as arborist kind of activity.  I trust their services, and they will not knock a hole in my roof.  We pay for the expertise.  It was a lot of work and big expense.

Excellant. They called to let us when they would be coming.  They were very efficient and did an amazing job.  They also did a great job of cleaning up the yard.  They were also very helpful in working with us on our damaged tree. I felt confident that we were getting good advice.  Would use them again and recommend them to others.

Crew was quick, professional and thorough. Very happy with the result.

Mr. Cundiff came over yesterday and said he'd give me an estimate for trimming the tree so I am expecting a bill for the pick up of the timbers and an estimate for the trimming of the tree.

We found references for Cundiff's here on Angie's List, called them, and the owner came out within a few days with an estimate. It was over $1,000 for the three trees we wanted trimmed so we decided to hire them only for the one largest tree with limbs over the roof. Because the job was rather small, it took about 6 weeks before they could come out and complete the work which I was a little disappointed with. However, the time came to have the work done and the crew arrived and got to work at just the time they arranged. There were five men working and they had the job done in about an hour and a half. They used a bucket for high limbs/ shaping and ground trimmers for the smaller and lower limbs. They had a shredding truck right there and shredded everything right away. They were careful and seemed very professional, stopping to ask if we were happy. While here they did remove a few limbs from the other two trees, too. Clean up was excellent. The price was quite above what the others were - the companies who knock on the door and offer their service - but since we had hired one of those companies several years ago and did not like the work they did, we decided to go with Cundiff's. I think you get what you pay for. The tree looks great and it was a pleasant experience. I would hire them again for sure.

The initial estimate went very well. The receptionist was very pleasant and the crew came out promptly; they provided good information and seemed very knowledgable. Their price was significantly higher than both other companies I received a quote from, but given that my insurance was picking up the tab, I wasn't as worried about this as I might have been otherwise. However, their initial estimate was not split out the way the insurance company had requested. When I went back to them a couple of months later for a revised estimate, they said it wouldn't be a problem and said they would fax it to me. No calls, no fax. Left several voice mail messages at their office inquiring about status of updated estimate and even requesting that they mail the revised estimate if they were having fax trouble. Never received any calls back, faxes, or regular letters. At this point, I developed a bad feeling and decided to pursue a different company to have the work done.

Overall excellent job. Arrived right on time for both the estimate and the work. Spent the time to ensure they knew exactly what I wanted and didn't want, then did exactly what they said they would. All equipment was professionally maintained and employed. Did an excellent clean up as well.

Wonderful experience, prompt VERY courteous and you can NOT beat the price!! We have dealt with other tree companies and I will STAY with this one because of the integrity that was shown to us, very fair, honest and just great to do business with. A++++++++

Owner came on time to give me the written quote, he was friendly and informative and very professional. Unfortunately he was a little pricier than other companies. My first impression was good.

Were prompt and efficient. Cleaned up site nicely after work. Did an excellent job clearing stumps. Plan on hiring them again for more work in the fall.

He did an excellent job. Clean up was spot on. Priced better than his competitors. I would use him again.
