We've used them before. They were prompt, polite. They came in took care of and double checked everything he was supposed to, before he left.

Everything went smoothly and we are satisfied with the results.

Everything was done professionally and I was very happy with the work and I highly recommend them.

They came the day I called. The water heater was 4 and a half years old on a 5 year warranty. A Atherton handled all the warranty work and only charged labor to replace the water heater. They also hauled off the old unit.

All went well except until July 2016.  Water line ok, but the sewer pipes became unjointed, same problem as 2011. The basement was also full of sewage. Called them and said it was only warranty for a year.  Nothing I could do about it.Called rotor rooter and confirmed it was shoddy work.  Mr Rooter talked to a atherton to explain situation and to see if they would fix their work, no they would not. I found out that the City of Dayton that A Atherton never got a permit to do the work nor did they have their work inspected. City of Dayton has no record of a work permit or inspection.

Good job done right the first time and very quick

I called first thing in the morning to schedule an appointment. We agreed on a 2-4 p.m. By 4:30 I hadn't heard anything so I called back. The plumber had broken a tool at previous job and had to stop by the shop to get a replacement. He showed up at 4:45, apologized for the lateness and proceed to fix the drain. Drain is now working properly.

My outdoor plumbing fixture pipe had burst two years ago.  I called A-Atherton yesterday and they came out two hours later.  The repairman did a very professional job and I was very pleased with the work. I will use them again.

Bill, the plumber, arrived on time and immediately determined what had to be done to replace a broken sump  pump.  The job was more than a routine replacement because the sump also serves as the exhaust hole for my radon system.  So Bill had to deal with a sealed sump cover, a 4" radon pipe and a working battery back-up pump as well as the old pump in the SAME hole.  He modified existing piping so future servicing of pumps will be much easier to access without a lot of trouble. Bill worked very quickly and had new pump installed, existing backup pump reconnected and both tested in under an hour.  The radon piping was also returned to its original position.  The total charges were fair and I even took advantage of the Angie's List 10% senior discount.  I was truly impressed with Atherton Plumbing and would not hesitate to call  them again for any plumbing job I could not do myself.

I requested a bid to move a spigot from the far wall of my garage 35 feet across the garage and through an outside wall. First I was told it couldn't be done and that I should continue using the hose I have running out the garage door. Then he said he could do it in 5 hours for $700 with no warranty. It's about 35' and he could run the PVC pipe along the floor, drill a hole in the wall and be done. Amazingly bad attitude.

Within an hour he had installed a new shutoff for the grill on the main gas line and removed the grill and post.
He dug out the post and cut it off below the soil level (it had been cemented in).
Andy took all of the old grill and parts with him for recycling.
The grill had gotten to be an eyesore. I wish I had called A Atherton years ago to remove it.
When I replace the grill with a cart model, I will be calling A Atherton to do the installation!

Provider was able to arrive early (called first) which I appreciated. Job was done quickly. Cleaned up afterwards.
