I called at 8:30 AM and had the appliance doctor ringing my doorbell at 11:30 AM. After some diagnosing of the ice dispenser, he ended up on the phone with Whirlpool. They told him the replacement part needed for repair was no longer in production. He felt bad about that and charged only the visit fee.

I was told it was too old to repair (from 50s or 60s). I could have sent a picture to get that recommendation. Maybe it was me in that I expected too much.

We called the Appliance Doctor, got an appointment as requested. Tom called, arrived on time and knew right away what was wrong. It was plugged drain. He fixed the problem quickly and his fee was very reasonable. I would recommend this business highly.

Great. Tom came super quick and worked just as quickly to clean out the sump pump and get it running again. Simple repair, but glad I didn't need to buy parts. I found Tom to be extremely professional, and totally fair - no hint that he was going to try to charge us for more than what we needed, which is always appreciated.

Tom quickly and carefully removed the washer case, agitator, and steel drum, which rests inside a plastic outer drum.  Turns out the seals were OK, but there was a lot of accumulated grease, sludge on the bottom of the steel drum and the inside of the plastic drum. This is what was flaking off into the clothes. Following a thorough cleaning by both of us on each of the major parts, Tom efficiently re-assembled the washer and checked to make sure that it was operating properly.  My wife was thrilled with the results, and the charges were very reasonable.

He came out pretty fast.  He is reputable and very expensive.  He is a dollar per minute.  I got into discussion with him and I actually helped him solve the problem.  He is not knowledgeable enough.  It took two of us to figure things out.   

That was the first time I used them.

Each location is covered by a 30 day guarantee that states the SC is not recharged if we need to return withing that period. Regarding the i.m. repair, it's always good to be able to think things thru and even better when you can discuss options with someone else, but please know that our technician has over 35 yrs of experience behind him.
