The salesperson was a regional or district manager (I forget which), who showed up promptly for our sales quote appointment on a Saturday.  The company required that both my wife and I be present, which we didn't like originally, but which turned out to be a good idea because we really did both turn out to have lots of questions.

He was very detailed, and answered all of our questions patiently and kindly.  He was very low-pressure, which we greatly appreciated.  The product seemed to be of very good quality, and at first I thought we might hire the company.  But there were two issues that really turned us off.

1.  The company had been advertising windows for something like $158 each.  The salesperson didn't even mention those until we asked about them specifically.  His response was something like, "Oh, I wish they wouldn't advertise those.  They're really low-grade.  I wouldn't recommend those to anyone except maybe a house-flipper, who wasn't going to have to live with them."  This seems like classic bait-and-switch tactics, which I did not appreciate.

2.  The original quoted price was around $12,000, but the salesperson had a whole, well-though-out explanation for why he could offer us a 10% discount if we hired them that day, involving their cost for losing business if we wanted a follow-up visit and they had to cancel a first-visit appointment with another potential client.  Maybe it's true, but in the end, it was just a way to pressure us into signing immediately.  IN ADDITION, a few days later, he called and said that they had "a big commercial job" "in our area" (we live two miles from them) and could therefore do the job for around $6,500, as I recall.  That made me determined never to do business with them.

They were willing to let me pay $12,000 for a job they were willing to do for several thousand dollars less?  No way.  The company we did eventually hire had pre-set prices for everything, just like a menu, and the other company was absolutely great.  Look for my review on them, and buy from them, not Weatherseal!

It went better than I expected! What can't this company do?!
They were so easy and willing to work with us and schedule around our needs. The teams were friendly, professional and my dogs LOVED them. Understand the one dog always hides when people come but he hung right with them!
The work was professional and they took the extra time and effort to make it right. They even hung the new outside lights for us when the put the siding up. No small detail was over looked and when the job was complete we could not find one thing that was out of place or incorrect. They even fixed our lawn and the neighbors lawn because we had to drive and park on them while they worked on the drive way.
Communication with the project manager, the owner and the team members were never lacking. I actually received calls multiple times in one day to schedule the work and then to ensure the scheduling happened.
They did such a great job that we have contracted them to do more work for us in the house.
The house, yard and drive look great and we have had so many people stop to ask about the job Weatherseal did and how we liked their services.
Recommend them...no I would HIGHLY Recommend or even just flat out tell you to use them.
Every time I pull in our driveway I smile and know this was the best money we spent on the home.

Weatherseal put a new roof on our office building in June.  The crew removed the shingles on the entire front of the building and covered it with a light weight blue tarp with a predicted rain storm coming that evening.  It was a nice day the next day but they didn?t return because they said they had repairs to do from the from the previous night?s rain on other properties.  The second evening the rain came in three floors with puddles in the basement.  Wet drywall, carpet, hardwood floors and insulation.  They said they would be out with three crews and make everything right.  It was 30 days before any drywall, carpet or insulation was removed.  We had mold in the walls and moisture throughout.  They had attempted to dry the place out without removing anything which did not work.  The amount of water was huge and 30 days later a moisture meter registered 95% in many of the walls with insulation sitting on top in the attic.  At one point the ceiling collapsed and a large section fell.  The 5th and 6th week they had their insurance company remove the wet section of drywall, carpet and insulation and proceeded to tell us that they were doing everything they could.  It is now two months and I have been offered an insurance settlement by the insurance company to fix it ourselves with pay but we are busy people and have no time unless we give up the last part of our summer.  The owner John Conner insists that this incident is an acident.  We say that if it was done in a professional manner without removing so much roof with a storm coming this all could have been avoided. Leaving the bare wood roof covered only by a blowing loose tarp was careless.  Especially for two days.  To make things worse they charged my credit card without out my consent or approval for which they had asked.  I said when I get my building back I will pay you.

contract states 36 inches for sidewalk. its 32 1/2. there are two steps on my contract. they put in 3 steps and a ramp instead then their engineer stated that it should have 4 steps and no ramp. Their contract states that any deviation from the contract would need to be signed by both the provider and the purchaser. this never happened. the contractor will not return because the building inspector passed them the codes that he used were 3781 through 3791. 3791.55 has to do with women breast feeding on property. in the codes there are no specifications or definitions for height of riser, ramp, steps and landings. the steps are never used and falling apart as well as the sidewalk, we were told a 4 inch base we have 1 in base at best. there was very little tamping. i asked about fiber paper and the contractor states they didnt need to. member is an experienced carpenter and the work that was done is unsatisfactory. The steps are uneven in height and tops with a ramp.
I was highly pressured to take a deal from the salesman. He stated that as soon as he left the property deal expired.
they also damaged my yard by driving on it and the neighbors as well. i have pictures for all damage and crumbling of sidewalk and steps. nothing is tied together. you can tell its not done properly. they stated they would be out in a matter of days by friday of that week. three weeks later i contact the company about canceling and they stated i cannot cancel because they already have my stone in their yard.

I wanted the windows of my home replaced and I wanted them tinted. They were very valuable in helping me decide what type of windows to purchase and they were able to meet my needs.  In addition, they gave me a lifetime warranty on the windows.  They were always prompt, courteous, and friendly from the first meeting to the final installation.  They did everything they said they would do and were always professional and clean.  I was completely satisfied.

On May 12, 2014, torrential rains devastated Summit County, and unfortunately, I experienced a sewage backup, which affected my entire basement. I contacted the people at Weatherseal and they had an immediate response and began the cleanup process. They dispatched a crew out to my house to begin the cleanup and removal of the sewage and water that was in my finished basement. I was basically in a state of shock and could barely react and thinking clearly enough to know what to do, but the guys came in and took care of everything for me. They were respectful and courteous and were extremely sympathetic to my situation. The next morning they returned to continue with cleanup and removal of items that were contaminated. Unfortunately, my insurance did not cover any damages and Weatherseal worked with me so that I was comfortable as they began to move forward with renovations. They walked me through all the steps of the renovation process and took the guess work out of everything that was going to happen. It's truly a terrible situation for anyone to experience, but the guys at Weatherseal were the silver lining. They are not only taking care of restoring my basement to the condition it was prior to the flooding, but they also installed a check flap on the sewage line so that this never happens again! That peace of mind alone is worth it! I can't thank them enough!

Our evening with Scott started out real well but then he told us how the special deal was ending that night and we needed to make a  decision he became very pushy on getting us to sign a contract we kept saying we needed to talk it over but he made us feel like we were missing a good deal . we did decide to go with his company and after we talked it over we decided to cancel .That is when Scott told us he could lower the price but we were already done with his games

It was a great process from start to finish. I bought the home in September of 2012 and had a roof inspection prior to closing. The inspector said that the roof had about another three years of life. Unfortunately, two days after being in the home, leaks started to pop up in the bathrooms. It was terrible. To make a very long and arduous story short, I began to get cost estimates for a new roof. Each estimator said that the roof was in terrible shape and needed replaced prior to the winter. It was terribly upsetting considering the cost estimates ranged from $12k to $18k.
After I contacted John Conner at WeatherSeal and he came out to take a thorough look, he informed me that there was also mold on the wood and a ton of water damage that no other estimator told me about. He actually spent about 40-45 minutes in my attic, took a ton of photos (to show me) and carefully took the time to explain about the damage. I loved his openness and honesty. He told me that the roof could in fact last another couple of years, but I would be dealing with leaks on a regular basis when it rained. I was not willing to go through that each time it rained, so I decided on the new roof and signed a contract with WeatherSeal. I believe I met with him in October and on December 5, the work on the roof began. The crew was awesome! On time and considerate of my yard and surrounding areas. I am an extremely neat and tidy person and expected that the surrounding yard be maintained and no debris from the roof tear-off be lying around. The complete install, with new wood and all, took 2.5 days. Each day I arrived home from work, the place was immaculate. I could barely tell a work crew was at my house.
Immediately upon finishing the job, Mr. Conner contact me, as did another representative from his office, to see if the job was done to my satisfaction. He also stopped by my house a week or so later to check out the work and see how the new roof looked. The customer service at WeatherSeal was amazing. And when you are spending that type of money...that makes a huge difference!
I honestly can't praise the Company enough and would highly recommend them to anyone I speak with. I now have a new roof and can sleep soundly at night knowing that the job was done right and I received a fair price.
Thank you, John Conner and your staff at WeatherSeal!
Sincerely,
Dawn Marzano

Weather Seal came out to give an estimate and immediately suggested the rubber roofing considering a portion of my roof was flat.  They came out in a timely manner and completed the work to my satisfaction. I am pleased at the work that was performed and wish I had contacted them earlier rather than later.  All of the staff were very nice, friendly and were very professionaI.

It went really good. My new roof looks great. The workers were prompt and professional.

When they came for the walk thru after the roof was installed...Bill, from Weatherseal was so nice. He assured me that if there was any problem whatsoever to call them. That was such a relief to know.

The sales rep Scott was as nice as can be. The price was better than other roofing businesses. I had another roofing company come out to give me a quote. Weatherseal 's price was better. And their salesman was much nicer.

Weatherseal replaced all the windows in my house in 2011, and I knew they would do another excellent job on my roof.

I would recommend Weatherseal to others.

Two young men Billy and Josh arrived at the time they said they would. They were very professional and pleasant. They made sure we were on the same page as to what I wanted and then immediately got started.i found them to be very particular about what they were doing to the point that something I thought looked ok, wasn't to them and proceeded to work until they had it right. I was very pleased with them and the quality of their work and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They also cleaned up everything before they left.

We had Bill out last year to help build a deck so we thought we would call him back when we wanted to re-do our bathroom. Everything turned out wonderful.and he even stayed later to help us hang our mirror. We had mentioned that some of our siding was loose and he said he would take care of it. Very happy with the results!

We met with Scott from WeatherSeal in early March. We had a issue with air coming through our windows creating a very cold environment in our home, especially in our children's room. We also wanted to investigate new siding for our home. We had met with 3 companies prior to Scott coming out and are very happy that we waited to visit with Scott prior to making a decision. Scott was very thorough in investigating why we had such a problem with our windows. After his analysis he gave us a demenstration of how the WeatherSeal window would correct our problem with our current windows. He also gave us several options for the new siding and helped us coordinate colors and style choices. The visit was very professional with no "buy now" pressure! The cost was a bit more than we anticipated and he worked with the owner to help fit it in our budget!
We were told that it would take 6-8 weeks to have the job completed, to our surprise it was completed in just 5 weeks! The installers were great and clearly employees of the company not Subcontractors. They  were focused on the task at hand, polite  and cleaned up daily!
The finished job is fantastic! The house looks new and the comfort inside is a marked difference! We expect that our heating and cooling cost will decline greatly!
Our entire experience with WeatherSeal has been fantastic and I highly recommend if you have the need for windows or siding give them a call as they will exceed your expectations and provide a great product for a reasonable price!

I already had an estimate from another contractor for the same work with very similar materials and that estimate was just under $20,000. Weatherseal's salesman did not know about this other estimate. After Weatherseal measured the house and we discussed materials, a number was presented to me. There was no itemized list of quantities or an inventory of materials to be used, just a number slid across our dining room table: $51,000! When I expressed that this number was quite high, I was told that there was a promotion and a choice between 7 years of 0% financing (which I had inquired about earlier), or 25% off. He then proposed that with the 25% discount the cost would be $38,000. When I said that this was still way too high I was asked where I had expected the estimate to come in, and I replied "around $20,000". Weatherseal then said that they could not do the job for $20,000. I then mentioned that I had another estimate for like materials and labor for $19,700. I then produced the other estimate and after reviewing it Weatherseal pointed out a few differences; such as quantity of new shutters, tar paper material, gutter guards, etc. These were minor differences between the two estimates that didn't amount to more than perhaps a few hundred dollars in materials. Then the Weatherseal salesman called his "boss" and after some discussion said we could have the deal with the better tar paper, additional shutters and gutter guards for $19,000 if we committed today. So in a matter of approximately 30 minutes Weatherseal dropped their price from $51,000 to $19,000. Needless to say, my wife, son and I were shocked with the old school "Tin Men" tactics. We ended it saying that we would consider all estimates and make no decision that day. The Weatherseal salesman said that he would have someone come out and remeasure over the weekend. On the following Monday I received a phone call from the salesman and was told that the house had been remeasured over the weekend and his initial measurements were way off and he apologized for his mistake that led to the initial high estimate. We had been home every minute since the previous visit and no one ever came to remeasure.
I cannot speak for Weatherseal's workmanship, materials, service, responsiveness, cleanup, etc, since we went with the other contractor. Weatherseal has great reviews on Angie's List so their products and installation must be good. It is just their sales approach that I don't appreciate.
Food for Thought: If I had mentioned to Weatherseal right up front that I had another estimate and that it was under $20,000 and Weatherseal had offered to beat it immediately without starting at $51,000, they just may have won our business. But then we would not have known that they were willing to charge us $32,000 over the price they were actually willing to do the work for.

3/18:  Mr. Conner called me this morning to discuss this complaint.  He was very sincere in getting to the bottom of the confusion or miscommunication.  He came to my home and remeasured, explained all the various numbers, wastes, etc. and I now see that 22 squares were for the house plus 10% waste came to the original measurement of 24 squares.  He explained how the financing works, the rebate amount, etc.  and what is linked to each other.  This is where the confusion came because that was not properly explained before.  Had this been explained properly in the beginning I would never have written this review and I would have probably signed with WeatherSeal.  I have changed the initial "grading" above.

Emails went back and forth.  First I questioned the measurement, then later when I asked him to come and remeasure, he reduced the amount of the siding portion by $3085 (but never said he mis-measured).  Additionally the $1468 rebate he originally offered me (in lieu of a $1000 coupon I had), was no longer on the table and neither was the "special" financing.  So my options were the correct price WITHOUT the rebate or coupon and either pay cash or take 1 year same as cash OR pay the higher, exaggerated price WITH the rebate and get the 7 year 0% financing.
The way I figure it, the 0% financing would cost me approximately $4500:   His first quote was $17912 total at 0% vs. his "recalculated" total of $14827 which should still receive the stated rebate of $1468 (or at least my coupon) = $13359.  The difference between $17912 and $13359 = $4553 would be the cost for 0% financing.
I think this is unethical at the least, and I suggest anyone getting a quote from them be very careful.  Buyer beware!  I've seen other information on this provider that they are a little high-priced, but this is not a "little bit" to me.
I went with another provider; one Weatherseal said would be at lease double his quote.  It was not -- it was right in the middle of my 3 quotes.  The way I look at it, the high-baller and the low-baller are both subject to scrutiny.  I went with the middle guy, and a company I've done business with before and are comfortable with.

I contacted several companies but Weatherseal was the only place that was willing to work with me, given that the age and type of my siding made it really difficult to replace. The original estimate was $350 but it actually cost $480 since the scope was larger than estimated. It took some persistance to get them to actually come out (although the bad weather had something to do with it) but I am happy with the work and how quickly and professionally it was done. They guaranteed it would satisfy my insurance company and it did.

Everything went great. The salesman showed up on time for our appointment. He ws very polite, informative and very patient in answering all my questions. He took the time to show me all the different window options available, in order to help me make a well informed buying decision, without any high pressure sales tactics. I had already shopped 4 other companies, prior to the appointment with Weatherseal, Weatherseal gave me the most value for my money. They called me within two  weeks of signing the contract to schedule the install date and showed up early and ready to work. The installation crew was very polite and went strait to work. I was really impressed with how much pride they took in the job and doing a great job for me. They cleaned up all the mess and all I had was great looking windows when they were finished. The whole team at Weatherseal was great. They all were very professional at Weatherseal. I would reccomend their service to anyone! Great Job! I love my windows! Thank You Weatherseal!!!!!!!!!

Very Satisfied and will recommend them with 100% confidence!
I cannot state how well this company did on this job. Yes it took a little longer but the end result quality was worth it. John Conner , the owner, and his team ( Rick, Mark and Josh - and the installers!) were impressive in the quality and standards that they have in place. This company from the bottom to the top take pride in their work. When I had an issue with the installation ( lock not functioning properly and a defective track - the installation manager ( Josh ) and the head installers ( Troy and Ray ) were at my house within 20 minutes. They found a defective manufacturer part  and in order to solve the issue they came out to the house on Sunday morning - way above and beyond! So all the issues would be resolved prior to our very large family coming in town for Thanksgiving. When the owner found out Monday that I had a problem he was at my home to check the work himself and to make sure that my wife was satisfied. This was very reassuring that they will be there when it matters!
The job started and ended well. We did have an issue with the sliding door and a window ( install and a craftsmanship issue) that were unforeseen and were handled with the utmost professionalism and care.

It went very well.  First someone came to assess the job and let me know how much it would cost.  The following week, a two-man crew came and quickly got the job done.  They did a very thorough and tidy job.  They vacuumed up after themselves and were done in no time.  This was a job that had been nagging at me for 5 years.  Don't know what I waited for.  The Weatherseal team was great.
