When the ladies were finished, they asked me to check for things that they may have missed. I made the mistake of not checking everything thoroughly, as I assumed that the 75 point checklist mentioned in their website (http://heavenlytouchmaids.com/checklist.htm) would be covered without me having to check for that.
In my case, some of the blinds were not dusted, and some of them were. This is probably why I missed this, as the ones I checked for may have been the ones they cleaned. Also the cobwebs were not removed.
In summary, I would recommend their services, just make sure you check everything thoroughly before they leave. It should not be this way, though, as the 75-point checklist should be completed without the customer having to check for that.
The staff is punctual and friendly. Debbie calls if they will be delayed for any reason (which is seldom) and she calls the day before each scheduled cleaning to remind me they are coming the next day. One member of the two-member crew is a regular that returns every cleaning.
During my three-month neck surgery recovery period this past summer, I had the service do a shortened cleaning between the full cleanings. Debbie was very accommodating with this and priced it fairly. I have requested additional services now and then and have always been pleased with the quality and price of these extras, too.
I am comfortable with her employees in my home and happy with the quality service she provides.
The service just was too inconsistent that I had to cancel.
"We cleaned for [members name] 5 times. She had warned me before we started that she had previously had numerous cleaning services and none of them ever satisfied her. She in fact told me that several had actually canceled her or not shown up. I took that as a challenge and wanted to really impress [members name] with our professional service. I had called her the day before each cleaning to insure that we were on the same page with her expectations. After her cleaning on Thursday 10/23, I called her on Monday 10/27, she said that she would call me right back and she never did. On 11/5, I called her the day before her 11/6 cleaning to confirm it was ok to come on 11/6 and see if she had any special requests, and she said YES see you tomorrow. She text’d us after midnight 11/5 to cancel the next day service (due to drywall) and said see you in 2 weeks. With her texting of see you in two weeks I didn't think a response was necessary. I’m sorry we did not meet [members name] row of SUPER SERVICE AWARDS from Angie's List we rarely have had a customer that we could not communicate with or please. Debbie"
Everything went very well. I had called another provider that I had used before and they were unable to come as they were too booked up. By sheer luck, I was able to find this provider.
While they were cleaning I was busy cleaning the garage and basement. I made the mistake of thinking they would do a good job so I did not check their work. I moved into this house 2 days later only to to find many missed places.
Examples : Bathrooms - door only cleaned on one side , one drawer wiped out the others missed or under a sink , window ledge cleaned but not the edges of the window. Living room - the shelves that were eye level were wiped clean but the upper shelves were left untouched.
Floors were mopped but should have been mopped a second time - I had to do it myself the next day! I could go on but you get the idea. When I voiced my concerns to the owner she did not even say sorry but simply stated she reminded them that it was easy to miss one side of a door. The second house was cleaned better by a different crew.
Windows, screens, baseboards, the works.
This was our second experience and was a job well done.
