Janice Worthington is the best resource you could have when looking for a career. Being involved in the search for candidates for my current employer, I realize just how important your resume is. It is true that a first impression is the most important, and in actuality, your resume is your first impression. When selecting resumes for potential candidates I find that if the resume does not appear professional and well written, I may not even look at it any further. It was the resume that Janice created for me that got me in the door, and her interview coaching that enabled me to present myself in a confident and professional manner. Excellent! Janice wrote an excellent resume, and she and Jeremy showed me how to be marketable in today's job market, and how to interview to close the deal. They showed me the value of LinkedIn and Twitter, and how to use the sites to market myself effectively. There is job sarch school, and monthly seminars where others, including those whe do not opt for indivudual counseling, come to learn from Janice and Jeremy, and each other, including those who come back after getting hired to share the story of their job search.
What was really valuable to me was the individual coaching. I'm not in sales but know how to sell, but left to my own devices can't sell myself well. I not only got coached, but when recruiters and companies responded, I could call Janice for tactical advice. It also helps that they have been around so long, since they have graduates working all over town and I could get information not available on websites or other normal media sources.

My overall experience with Worthington Career Services was great! I was able to work with Janice and Jeremy to create a very professional resume which allowed me to standout when applying for different positions. Then I was able to use the lessons learned and advice I was given in coaching sessions to prepare myself for the actual interview. Some may say the price is a little on the high side, but I feel that what they provided was well worth the money! Overall, the resume created for me was beyond any of my expectations. Worthington Career Services has a way of telling your story within the bounds of the resume format allowing a unqiue and informative descriptions of career experiences.
I am also a coached client which includes interview preparation before any interivew. I just finished a one on one session with Janice and she taught me ways to address interview questions that will make me stand out from the other candidates. This preparation relieved most of my stress before the interview. I will be practicing and I am sure I will be more prepared than most of the other candidates.

Went very well

This was the first time I used them and they may have provided one other service that I can't think of. The owner has a boat-load of experience and seemed to be super knowledgeable. I could tell that she has dealt with a lot of people and has a lot of experience with a large number of corporate clients. It was expensive but I never could have done a resume like she did. She is very thorough at pulling really good information from a questionnaire I completed for her.

I use Worthington Career Services for career counseling. They have one on one counseling that I have used often. They have materials, handouts, and websites available for growth. they have a resume and cover letter service available. Every month they have interactive sessions at a local hotel to help with interview skills and a job training class to help improve you r ability to improve on skills and technology. They are very willing to help you with your career.

I had been out of work for awhile and could not have accomplished this without Worthington Career Services. Janice and Jeremy Worthington are patient and real with their clients. Just completing the questionnaire was a very valuable exercise in and of itself, for it forced me to carefully consider numerous aspects of my past employment that would never have entered my mind. The overall result, of course, is it made me a far stronger candidate. I chose to opt for the optional coaching, and am I ever glad I did so. Ms. Worthington has been in the field for many years and her knowledge is comprehensive. The interview tips alone that she gave me were worth the additional cost even had she not prepared me further. But, of course, she did. In this highly competitive job market, which shows no signs of getting anything but more difficult, a person is a fool, in my opinion, if he or she does not take advantage of every edge they can get. And what an edge Janice's coaching was! I would say that her package of resume, cover letter, and coaching moved me from a "pretty good" candidate to absolute top drawer. And as everyone looking for employment nowadays knows, "pretty good" in today's job market just isn't good enough. One other thing that was very impressive. Janice offers weekly group sessions that are absolutely free to customers. You can attend them as long as you wish and ask as many questions as you want. I had been out of work for almost 9 months, but was able to find a job within a few weeks thanks to Janice and her team. Even though I am now employed, I still drop in on her group classes from time to time just to keep in touch with the job market, learn, and make contacts. You've seen the Olive Garden commercials - "When you're here, you're family" - well, that's exactly the way it is at Janice's. Honestly. Put succinctly, this is the best service experience I have ever had and I could not recommend Janice and her team more highly. Sadly, I had been to a couple other resume services, that shall remain nameless, and they were not even in the same ballpark.
