Woodruff Tree Service

It very hard for me to get anyone to remove tree stumps. Mike Woodruff gave what I thought was a resonable estimate and performed the work within two weeks. He also advised me on the planting of new trees. I would use his company again.

I was very satisfied with their work, prompt and thought they were reasonably priced. I was also impressed with how well they cleaned up after themselves.

I received a call from Mike Woodruff of Woodruff Tree Service within 2 days after purchasing their "Big Deal" on Angie's List, He was very cordial and professional on the phone. He scheduled an appointment for an estimate for services (free visit) for the very next day. The technician who came to complete the estimate showed up promptly at the scheduled time. The estimate he provided to me was very fair for the work to be completed in my opinion. He was also able to schedule an appointment with me to complete the actual work within the next 7 days, at a day/time which was convenient for me. The day before my scheduled appointment, it rained very long and hard. I received a call that afternoon from Mike Woodruff to inform me that they would need to reschedule my appointment because the rain caused the ground to become too soft, and the heavy equipment that Woodruff Tree Service would use would cause damage to my muddy, soft yard. A new appointment was made for two days in the future to ensure that my yard wouldn't be too soft for the equipment, I was glad to know that Woodruff Tree Service was concerned about the possibility of damaging my yard - and that they were able to re-schedule me so quickly. On the day of my appointment, the tree trimmers showed up at the scheduled time. They performed the tree trimming work just as the estimator had described it to me, and the work was completed fairly quickly. Once the trimming was completed, the workers proceeded to clean up all of the branches, wood chips, etc., that were cut off of the tree. They did not leave any branches or bits of wood behind. The workers were very courteous and friendly the entire time they were at my house. No damage was done to my yard or house as a result of the work and/or the equipment used. I would definitely hire them again!

I saw the $99 dollar special on Angie's and tried to call them to have my tree serviced. However, I called twice and left two messages a week ago, and no response whatsoever.

Although there were some communication difficulties at first, everything was made right by the company. They did very good work and were very professional on the phone. I would recommend them.

Great. Arrived on time perfromed work with no issues and cleaned up afterwards. Price very reasonable and will have them come back at some point to perform additional work. Very professional.

I called Woodruff Tree Service. They came out to our house the same day and gave us an estimate. Once an agreed upon price and list of items was reached, I asked when they would be able to come back and perform the services. They advised they would try to either come back that day or possibly the next. They left and about an hour later, I received a from them call saying they could come back that day, due to a cancelation. The team came back and performed all of the tree services, including removal and cleanup within 4 hours. We were extremely pleased with their work and professionalism.

He came over to give us an estimate within a couple of days of contact, and was able to do the work within a week. Did not try to sell us more than we needed, and was very professional.

I purchased an Angie's List Deal that gave me $200 worth of services for $99. I called Woodruff and he took my call while he was on vacation. We set up a morning appointment for an estimate the following week. He came out and gave a quick estimate and I approved the work. He called later that same day to say he had a crew available that afternoon. So they came and trimmed my tree the same day. The team cut the removed branches into fire wood as I requested and hauled the rest away in a shredder. They were nice and did a very good job of cleaning up with rakes since their blower was damaged and unusable. The gentleman that was rigged up into the tree did as best he could but his saw, even with a new chain, as he stated, didn't cut clean but was good enough for me. They wouldn't leave until I gave the approval that the work was complete. When all was said and done I paid $327 for $428 worth of work.

Wodruff came to my house on their way back from another job with their full crew and equipment to give an estimate. They offered to perform the work immediately. They were professional, courteous and gave me feedback on the condition of my trees. As they worked, the cut the wood down, stacked it and cleaned up after themselves. Overall it was a very good experience. I purchased an Angie's List Deal for $200 worth of work for $100. The total project cost was about $700 so I saved $100.

Woodruff provided a great service, worked with our neighbors, and showed up early! I would recommend them to anyone looking for tree services.

He had a small portable grinder. He was prompt, polite, and I would definitely recommend him without any reservation.

I purchased an Angie's List Deal that gave me $200 worth of services for $99, and then Woodruff came out and gave me an estimate. I especially needed to get rid of a smallish dead maple tree, and this was a great opportunity to also get some much-needed trimming done on a Bradford pear and a English hawthorne tree. I also discussed a small ailing maple with the estimator, and we decided to remove that also. In adidtion, he offered to clean up two smaller plants at no extra cost. The team came out, did all the work very nicely (my pear and hawthorne can now breathe!), and finished in less than an hour. They were pleasant and efficient and put up with my overly-excited dog. In the end, I paid $259 dollars for $350 worth of work.

Overall, it went pretty well. They did the job, cleaned up the mess, were personable and professional. I guess my only reason I gave them a B for quality is that the wiring they did to change the tree growth more just stopped the branches from growing further out rather than also trying to pull them back in a little. I will try them again in the future for trimming or stump removal.

They were great. They were very professional and came and did the work and cleaned up very well. I had some extra work on top of the coupon, but he recommended that we hold off since the tree was dying. I appreciated his honesty.

Excellent job taking down 2 trees and grinding the stump down, topping off a top heavy cleveland pear tree.

Purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for Woodruff Tree Service and it took a while to schedule the job; however, they did a great job grinding out two tree stumps. I would definitely use Woodruff Tree Service again in the future.

They came to do the job when we were on vacation. When we got home, it was all cleaned up and taken care of. They did a good job of cleaning up and everything. They were excellent. They responded to us even though we were not there. They took pictures and texted it to us.

After a set of scheduling glitches (first time out, they needed boards to protect my patio from the heavy equipment, so had to reschedule, and rescheduled date was missed by the company because they didn't write it down correctly) - I finally got the work done today. Woodruff came out, had the right equipment and protective boards, and they were very nice, polite and helpful. They did a marvelous job removing a tree stump along my fence, even removing a segment of the fence and replacing the boards for me that had been cut out around the tree stump. They removed all of the grindings and debris, and put the fence section they had fixed back up and the area looked just great. They also helped me out by removing a small pile of red clay in a different area of the yard as a favor. All in all, after we got the scheduling to come together, they were very professional and pleasant.

Woodruff's tree service was good to deal with overall. Their price was much better than another highly-rated tree service. Their point of contact was very responsive and they were able to fit me in between appointments to get my work completed sooner. My only issue was they were supposed to leave the trunk wood chopped for us and they forgot. However, to make up for it, they reduced the cost slightly. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

I bought a coupon for $99 for $200 worth of tree service (from Angie's List) for this company. When Michael came out to look at the job, he said my coupon would cover the cost. That was a pleasant surprise because I really expected to have to pay more. (I had gotten a bid of $250 from another company.) Michael was very nice and extremely professional. The work was performed while I was at work; and when I got home I was amazed at how nice and finished the area looked. Woodruff Tree Service did a great job and exceeded my expections across the board.

Gave me quote the same day services were performed. They were fast, on time, and cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't ask for anything more given the scope of the work.

The company provided an estimate on site prior to beginning the job. They arrived punctually, worked quickly, and were courteous. They were responsive to my comments, questions, and requests. It was a very positive experience.

We have used Woodruff Tree before and they did an excellent job. The same holds true for this most current job. The personnel involved are always professional, considerate and thorough. The fact that they do such a good job cleaning up after their work is something I greatly appreciate. The price was reasonable, the work performed promptly and we are very satisfied.

I had other estimates in the range of over $300. Woodruff came out to give me an estimate on the single branch trimming as well as full branch removal. With the $100 coupon, it made it a no-brainer to move forward with the entire removal. I approved the estimate and they were on the job immediately. So within an hour, the team had taken down the branch, trimmed other random branches in the tree. They also took the time to cut the branch into manageable pieces and pile it neatly for use as fire wood. They cleaned up the yard and left the space as clean as they found it. They exceeded all my expectations and were eager to help do any little extra trimmings to make it exactly how I wanted it. They were also very careful not to damage any of the landscaping that was under the tree and around the house. I would DEFINITELY have them do any other tree service and HIGHLY recommend Woodruff Tree Service to all of my friends and family.
