They called us back or answered our email.

(see above.) I had no idea what needed to be done to the trees in my yard, other than take out dead wood and trim away branches touching power lines. I don't know if what was done was everything I should have requested, but what I asked them to do, they did.

Purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List. Called them 3 times and they never returned my phone call.

We had to reschedule with them a few different times due to weather, their climber being ill, our schedule changing, etc. and every time it took multiple phone calls and waiting days for a response which was a bit aggravating. This seems like a very small family business with just one guys in charge of everything- which is typically the type of company we enjoy supporting- however, it does seem like maybe they need someone dedicated to customer contact. They did a great job of cleaning up the entire yard -pinecones, small branches, large branches- you could hardly tell that a tree had been taken out. They even swept off the roof and cleaned out the gutters! Overall, they did an outstanding job except for three things: a large branch did hit the window of our home at one point and some branches fell on the power lines, and one slat of our fence got chewed up, but no real damage was done, thank heavens. The job went exactly as they predicted- a small tree lost a couple of branches, and a dent was left in out lawn from the trunk falling, both of which the foreman said would probably happen.

After first call, they came out a few days later to give estimate. I've had a few other companies come out, and Woodruff was the most professional out of all I had out. The guy appeared very knowledable and showed me exactly what they would do. He answered all questions I had, which was appreciated. His estimate was right in line with the estimates I have received from other companies. When the estimate was done, I told them I would call them later if I wanted to end up doing business with them. About 1-2 weeks later (and after we received other quotes) I called them back to set up a date for the work. No answer, left a message. Awhile later I recieved a call back from them to tell me they would have to call me back the following week with what day they could schedule the work. I had no issue with that except they never called back the following week. I actually waited until the week after that to finally call them back to ask why I never recived a response. To this day I still have not had a response back, even after multiple attempts to get a hold of them. This is most frustrating to me because: 1) I never received a call back at all. 2) I wanted this work to be completed prior to all the leaves falling off the trees so they can find the dead limbs easily. I am really running out of time. If they could not do my work, or are too busy, it would have been nice to receive a call so that I could at least look for another company instead of waiting around for them. Now I am worried I am going to have trouble finding another company to do the work in the near future due to the incoming weather and the time of year it is.

Initially it took some time to schedule with them - I had to make several calls before they responded, but everything went well once the appointment was set up. They came on time and did a good job. The crew was courteous and professional. They asked me to inspect the job after they were done to make sure I was satisfied. They did a good job cleaning up the site. Their price was the lowest among the three quotes I got, and the Big Deal I purchased made it even better.

I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal which was $200 worth of service for $100. They trimmed some trees away from my house and garage. It was a really good deal price wise. My only complaint was that they missed the first appointment because of that huge summer storm that brought down tons of trees in the area. I understood them getting to more important jobs than my tiny job, but just wish they would have called to cancel.

Mike and his team are great to work with, they know what they are doing and are true professionals. Estimate was provided, the work was scheduled, they were on time did the job, cleaned up everything. I had several very large dead trees removed along with many large branches that were hanging over the house removed as well as a great deal of honey suckle bushes. Two very large trees 40 ft were leaning over my house and were above power lines, they took great care to control the dropping of branches to avoid lines and roof and put the downed branches exactly where they wanted. It was amazing to watch these guys at work. Call them if you need tree work!!

The crew came out and walked through everything with me. They did everything they said they would and then some!! Very nice guys , clean, professional and they answered all my questions without an attitude. They even took extra care trimming a magnolia tree that my grandfather planted for me. All the trees look beautiful now and I don't have to worry about any storms that we may get this winter. I would use their services again in a heartbeat!

Great experience! Have used other tree services in the past and been rather unsatisfied, but Mike Woodruff's crew did a great job. They called me outside a couple times to double-check how much of the tree I wanted thinned out and to see if certain branches should be left or removed. The tree sits inside a paver patio and doing the work caused A LOT of leaves to fall on the patio, but they removed those, too, without me having to ask. Tree looks much healthier and the crew was very professional and polite. Service was prompt, too. Having Angie's List 'big deal' coupon ($99 for $200 in tree services) helped keep costs down, as well. Will definitely use this company again!

Woodruff Tree Service came out to do the estimate when they had said they would, performed the actual work even sooner than I had anticipated, and cleaned up the debris when they were finished. They were very professional and friendly from start to finish. I would definitely hire them again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others in need of tree services.

They quoted me $600 but after my Angie's List discount,, it will be $500. The work is set to take place in the future.

This was a pretty dangerous job involving climbing a very tall tree while carrying a chainsaw. The tree was located in a gully, undermined by the creek bed and had no visible means of support- not a job for amateurs. While using appropriate safety gear, the workers were able to quickly take the tree down and cut it into managable pieces for us. Very impressive!

Mike came out and gave me an estimate within three days of calling. He explained to me what they would do and gave me the estimate. I told him I would think about it and get back to him. I decided to go with Woodruff Tree Service and called them back. It took a few days to get back to me, but I know they were very busy. When Mike did call he said they could come the next day. They showed up on time and did an excellent job! They cleaned up everything and hauled the wood that I wanted to keep to my barn. I would definitely recommend this service and the price was pretty reasonable. I also used the discount on Angie's list. All of the workers worked together to get the job done and I was very impressed! I will definitely call them again if the need arises! .

They were great. They worked all day and we got a really great deal.

Woodruff Tree Service took down the pine tree and removed the stump. They did such a good job that you can't tell there ever was a tree there. No sign of the stump, no leftover pine needles, nothing. Very clean.

I called the service last week and requested a quote on some tree trimming that I need. To date (6 days later) I still have not heard from this company.

We have been contacting them everyday since we purchased the Big Deal on September 22nd by phone and have emailed as well, with no response at all.

I am extremely pleased with their work! They were in and out with minimal fuss, left no mess, raked the area smooth, and pruned the tree so that it is healthy and still looks balanced and beautiful. Exceptional service at an excellent price.

Mike Woodruff provided a quote on 28 Sep - from past experience it was a fair price, so I told him I would like to get on the schedule. At 4pm on the 29th he called and said he could come over right now to take care of the work. I wasn't there when he completed the work, but when I arrived back home at 5:30pm the work was already completed and Mike's crew was gone. The area was completely cleaned up to the point that you couldn't tell they were ever there (well, except for the tree no longer being there and the stumps removed). My son was in the house and said he didn't even know they were there. I was very impressed by the qualitty of work and would definitely call Mike again if I need tree service in the future. Woodruff's Tree Service removed three very large trees that were in danger of hitting our house if they fell on their own. One was a dead Locust, and the other two were Ash trees that were dying because of the Emerald Ash Borer. The one in the front yard had to be brought down in chunks and they ground the stump down so that we could plant grass over the spot. They brought the two in our back yard down so they did not hit the house and did not take out any of our other trees. ( We have a heavily wooded and sloping lot. Two other companies would not even give us an estimate for removing these two trees.) We chose to keep the firewood, so it was neatly stacked for us. The brush was cleaned up and chipped. They would have hauled it away, but we chose to keep it for the paths in our woods. It was neatly piled in a convenient spot for us. The turn-a-round time from estimate to work being done was just a couple of days, and they did the work on Saturday so my husband could be there. We are very appreciate of their kindness and professional service. I can now sleep better during the next wind or ice storm.

We had a bumpy start but we figured out the problem and they came and did and excellent job. They also called to make sure everything was ok or if had any concerns with the work performed. ( i did not)

I left a message with Woodruff Tree Service about 11:30 today. Mike Woodruff called me back within about 20 minutes. He came out to my house. We discussed what I wanted done. Mike answered my questions/concerns and gave me an estimate of the cost of this job. His estimate was lower than i expected, so much so, that I agreed to contract with him to cut down my trees. Mike had his insurance papers handy for me to check.. I must have called Woodruff Tree Service on the right day & at the right time because, by 3:15, my trees were cut down, the mess completely cleaned up and the chipped up wood was being hauled away!

On time. Very quick, neat& clean. Would recommend them without hesitation.
