Woodruff Tree Service

I purchased a Big Deal of the Day for $99 for $200 worth of work. I needed to have the dead twig-branches trimmed out of three river birches. It took several weeks to get on the schedule, but Mike came out when promised to give me an estimate. He did stop by on the morning after a bad storm where many trees were down to provide the estimate. His estimate was outrageously expensive, even having $200 credited for the coupon, I would have spent hundreds of dollars more--just to get some twigs removed, but I wanted to be done with it, so I signed the estimate for the work. They were to contact me later in the week to set up an appointment to perform the work and I haven't heard from them since and have been unable to get a response. I have gotten estimates from several other tree trimming companies for a fraction of the cost, even with spending the $99 for the coupon. I would like to get a refund, but have little hopes of that happening.

..They actually called and asked if they could come early as the weather had changed. They were friendly and polite, made sure they knew just what I wanted done, and did the work quickly. They cleaned up after themselves.

I bought a big deal from another company on Angie's list. They were very professional and prompt. It's not worth the hassle to waste time with this company. I wanted to give them my business, but they obviously did not want it.

Mike came out promptly after my phone call and provided an estimate to trim and remove dead wood from a large ash tree, and do minor work on a maple. After doing comparison shopping we accepted their estimate and Woodruff's team was out within 3 days. The guys were friendly and professional. My wife and I were a bit picky some of the things we wanted done, and the guys were happy to oblige. After the work, the trees and yard looked great. As a matter of fact, during cleanup they even blew some leaves and debris off our front porch that had nothing to do with their work... very nice of them! This company will be the first I call next time I need tree services. I highly recommend them.

Overall...I couldn't be happier.

It was okay. The work they do was pretty go. Communication with them was a little bit on the difficult side. There was a lot of missed calls back and forth. They were on time.

They are excellent. They cleaned out after work. The price was reasonable. I was very happy with them. I plan on calling them back. I have also recommended them to neighbors.

Overall they did a good job and cleaned up afterwards. They left a few brushes behind that I wanted removed but then I was not home to help direct them. I would still use the company again.

After a bit of initial phone tag, the estimate was done. The job was done expediently with professionalism.

Fine. Did job as requested. Had to be careful taking down one tree to avoid deck and other trees and they were able to do this successfully. Were able to take down tree in specific spot in yard without hitting anything else.

In response to an Angie's List special offer of $200 for stump removal. Floyd arrived with a helper and machine. He told me the price would be $50 extra, because of the travel involved (Cincinnati north to Cold Spring, Kentucky). I objected and told him that I would pay him an extra $25 if he could also remove 2 small stumps in my neighbor's yard, as my neighbor & I had previously discussed getting someone in to do both yards. He agreed. It was a wet day and the work was done on a steep hill, the machine was large and heavy., and I thought it was dangerous work, and should have been postponed until the ground was dry. However, all the stumps were removed and ground in.. So I was very pleased with the work.

They are absolutely fantastic. They did a great job. I like their promptness, the quality of their work and their work ethic. I like the overall ease of just doing business with them. They're really easy to work with.

I found them to be very reasonably priced and helpful. I would use their services again.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon for tree service work. The phone number went to voice mail all 12 times I called. The company did call me back most of the time but I was unable to answer due to my work schedule. We finally connected last week and scheduled a visit to my home for an estimate. The company did not show up. When I called their main number, I received voicemail and left a message for a return call. They have not called me back. I would not recommend Woodruff Tree Service. I did request a refund of my Big Deal Coupon.

We had an appointment for them to come give us an estimate - they didn't show up or call to reschedule. I left a message to give them an opportunity to reschedule, and they never returned my call.

In general, it didn't "go" so needless to say, I'm disappointed.

They cleaned up very nicely and the pricing was very good for the work that they did.

I purchased a "Big Deal" for tree service because I wanted a tree removed. Mike returned my call in a timely manner to set-up an estimate. Because the weather is unpredictable this time of the year, they were able to remove the tree and grind the stump a day earlier than anticipated.

They were the second tree service I had in, and they did a much better job than the first company. The trees looked well-manicured and better shaped when they were done. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very professional. I didn’t have to micro managed them like the previous company, and I really appreciated that.

the estimater showed up when he said he would and was very professional. however the price he quoted was anything but professional. I found a company to put the tree on the ground, cut it up into firewood lengths for 1/3 of what this company wanted just to put it on the ground.

Very rpompt and responsive. Did a great job cleaning up all the branches and woodchips. When they ground out the stump, they removed the woodchips which helped greatly with reseeding

Took a few tries and weeks to finally get them to return my calls and set a date to dig/drill out tree stumps, using my Angie's List coupon. Showed up as finally scheduled. Alas, when my nursery tried to plant new trees, they found one of the stumps hadn't been fully sawed out. Had to get them to come back and drill deeper, which they did fairly promptly. All's well now.
