Woodruff Tree Service

Provider never returned 7/5/13 telephone call for estimate. Don't know what it is with these tree service providers who don't have the courtesy to return telephone calls.

Woodruff Tree Service Team arrived on time and were very professional, courteous and precise. I had five trees that really needed to be pruned and they completed this task with the utmost professional skills. The team of four men were all very polite and really were quite knowledgeable about the type of trees that were on my property. They offered great advice regarding care and maintenance of my trees. After the job was promptly completed they cleaned the entire yard area and the driveway. I was so impressed with this team of men and will contact Woodruff Tree Service next year for my tree maintenance. Also the price was amazing compared to other tree service estimates that I had researched.

I failed to call for an appointment prior to my coupon expiring - so it was $99.00 down the drain. I am only writing this because Angie's List keeps bugging me to write a review. I can't stop their nagging so here you go.

Did a very good job at trimming and removal. A bit of back and forth phone tag as both of us were busy but we connected. Workers seem quite professional and did the job as written. Any item that needed to be clarified was handled quickly. Missed one branch but came back to finish.

We bought a big deal coupon from this provider during the winter. At the time the reviews were very good. With the arrival of the warm weather we called to schedule an estimate. The man who spoke appeared polite and organized and we scheduled an appointment for June 24, 2013. Woodruff never showed for the appointment and did not return any phone calls afterward. Looking at other more recent reviews, it's clear that something happened that caused this provider to become completely unresponsive to customers. We have to face the fact that our money is gone with no hope of return. Such a complete reversal in the character of a business is remarkable. No doubt personal problems of a serious nature are the cause, but, regardless of that, this company should be avoided at all cost. We urge Angie's List to remove Woodruff from their website.

Came out and did an estimate, it wasn't a large job. Couple of day's later did the work. I wasn't present when the work was done. They did just we agreed on.

Representative from Woodruff showed up at my home. We discussed the limbs to be cut back. I thought we had set a date for the work to be done but no one showed up on that date. I was not at home on the day the work was finally completed but the limbs we discussed were trimmed.

It's been 48 hours since I called. I haven't heard back. I just called up a competitor who is also listed on Angie's List. The competitor was polite, helpful, and managed to find time for an appointment by Friday. So I'll be going with them... because they had the courtesy and professionalism to engage the customer in actual communication. This seems to be a theme for recent AL reviews for this company. It's a shame. How can potential customers trust this company if they cannot be bothered to return calls?

The provider did all that we asked and for the most part did a good job especially in trimming and removing the honeysuckle along the fence line. Upon closer inspection of the flowering hedge the cuts were not clean but jagged and looked very "hacked"; we were also a little disappointed that the side hedge couldn't have been trimmed back more. Also there was a significant amount of small branches and leaves left behind and I was not happy about having to clean it up.

It went well. 3 workers arrived on the correct date and time. Used professional equipment - industrial robotic stump grinder and standard tools to cut down tree. Asked to save trunk for firewood. Chopped into sections for us. Cleaned up area, piled ground stump material into hole. Well done, Great price at $99 for $200 worth of services via Angies' Big Deal. I previously had an estimate of $150 for 1 tree cut down and 1 stump ground down, so this was a very good price.

Mike promptly responded to my request for an estimate and said they could do the job the next day, weather permitting. After two other companies came back with higher bids and a three week wait, it was a no-brainier. The crew showed up the next day on time and "did their thing". Despite what turned out to be some miserable weather conditions, I was impressed with their professionalism and friendliness. Good group of guys that I wouldn't hesitate to hire again. Thanks, Mike, for your job!

We played phone tags for month and I traveled and so I would call them and when I traveled, they would call me back. They told me that they would trim up this one tree, but they didn't trim the whole thing, they just removed one side of it. They left a big rut in front of my house made by their truck and the melting snow, but I was able to grow grass again on it. They came on time the day they were supposed to come.

Perfect from start to finish.

They were on time. They did the work we agreed to. They cleaned all the branches that were removed. They did the work in a timely manner.

Communication was poor. Two different days I waited for them to come and there was no call and no show. The work that was done looks good and they cleaned up all the brush.

Attempted to contact this vendor via Angie's list email as well as called there'd telephone. Email was ignored for over a week and phone message for three days. No response!

The team was punctual, very professional and very friendly. Definitely would use Mike's company again. Highly recommended.

I called as soon as I purchased the deal to schedule an appointment. I called a total of 3 times leaving a message each time and never received a response. I have since requested a refund.

We used Mike last fall for some pruning and were pleased so called him again. Everything was done as we wanted and all the debris was cleaned up when they were done. When I have a need in the future for his services he will be the provider I call.

I got a prompt quote, and they arrived the next day. All the work was done per our agreement, with no mess left behind.

Every thing went well...except that we had to call to remind them to come out to do the work. The initial visit and estimate went well and a date was set to do the work. We had a lot of rain and so they got backed up on their work. The job though was performed to our satisfaction.

Terribly - the tree is fighting to survive and will ultimately die from the disease that resulted from climbing it with spikes.

Very happy with all the work done. The guy who came to give estimate was on time and very polite. I was given a 1 - 2 week timeframe for the work to be completed but it was actually less than a week. They did great job trimming the trees and removing the shrubs and clean up. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing tree service.
