Woodruff Tree Service

Ordered the $99 deal on Angie's list. Contacted provider. Provider showed up on 4/9/2014 and provided estimate for work. Provider wanted to perform work on 4/12/2014, but I was not available that day. Arranged for provider to perform work on 4/17/2014, but provider never showed up. Provider has not returned phone calls.

Everything went great and they removed all trimmings.

They did a fantastic job. We were really happy with the work and very excited that they could do the work the same day they gave us the estimate. They did a great a job of making sure that none of the other surrounding trees were taken down in the process (and there were a lot of smaller trees surrounding the trees we had removed). They performed all of the work within an hour and we were all around pleased with the results. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to others!

Three workers came to my home to do the work. One climbed the largest tree that over hung the house, using ropes and a chain saw, he spent an hour getting the tree exactly how I wanted it. A second man used a power pole saw and did all the word on the smaller of the two trees. The third mostly collected the branched that were generated by the other two, took them to their truck and ran them through the chipper. They all worked hard, no BS, they worked safely and used all the proper safety equipment. They were very thorough and cleaned up well. They made sure that my wife and I were totally satisfied before they left. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend to friends.

They did not show up for the estimate.

Woodruff Tree Service arrived on time. They trimmed two trees in my backyard as originally requested. At the last minute, I asked that a third tree be trimmed, and they gave me a price which I agreed to. All debris was cleaned up quickly. They did everything I asked. I would use them again.

I had never heard back from them, I called six times and never received a response.

I would not recommend this company. I believe it is unprofessional to not keep in contact with a customer and to no-show when an appointment has been made. We have contacted another company.

The work went very well and they cleaned up the areas they worked in.

Don't Call him Do call someone else Don't waste your time Don't believe that you will get a call back Do look around and you will find people who will do the same work for the same or lower just read the review of the people who did get quotes and hired someone else even with the big deal. Do petition as I did to have him removed from Angie's list.

It went great! Would recommend these guys and would use again! They were professional, timely, and affordable.

These men did a terrific job and worked precisely to the expectations they told me when they estimated the job. I already recommended Woodruff Tree Service to my neighbors, one of which is hiring them to do tree service. The company showed up exactly on time. They estimated the job would take 1 1/2 hours and it did. The men went right to work trimming branches and cutting down the tree. They removed and shredded all the branches. At my request they cut the trunk into smaller logs for the fireplace. Also, at my request they trimmed a large bush near our front porch. Then they cleaned the entire yard from small branches and debris. Nearly everyone with trees in their yard has been approached by men in a truck who solicit business of cutting down trees. I chose this company because they are on Angie's List. They did what they said they would, on the date and time when they said they would, in the timeframe they said it would take, and at the cost they quoted. I am a very satisfied customer with the company.

Everything went very well. Three people came and started cutting the tree down. As the tree was being cut, the limbs were taken to the front yard and put in the chipper they had on hand. They did a good job of cleaning all the branches up and the only thing left were wood chips. They would have taken them but we asked them to leave them. If we need any more work done or know of anyone else that needs work done, we will give them Woodruff Tree Service's telephone number.

Very courteous and professional. Kept in contact continually on arrival time and reschedules due to weather conditions. Works around clients schedules even if having to come on weekends. A wonderful company I will definitely recommend and use again.

I received information from Angie's list on Wednesday April 2, 2014. I called the number provided and we played telephone tag for three days. Finally Me returned my call and we made arrangements for him to come give an estimate on April 10 at 11am. I questioned the need for a day to give an estimate as I thought that he would just come prepared to do some trimming that needed done. He said he needed to know what he was going to do to know what equipment to bring. On April 10 he did not come and did not call. I called him to understand what happened and to date, April 15, I have not heard from him. Unless he dropped dead, there is no excuse for this behavior if one represents themselves as a reputable business. I have been a member for a couple of years but this is the first time that I have done business with Angie's list and he gives you a bad name I will not be renewing my membership as I have found the service to be useless. I have had better luck on my own getting the help I need. I would be hesitant to use anyone else listed on this service as Ifear more of the same. Regretfully Submitted

When we called to schedule service I was not able to match up our schedule and they were not able to provide services.

Woodruff called me back promptly and scheduled the service. They were on time and very professional. I will definitely use them again for future tree needs.

We opted to use another company. Even with the 'DEAL' from this company, another service provided was able to give us a better price.

BAD EXPERIENCE! I purchased the Big Deal in order to use the offer of getting $200 worth of tree service for $99 on March 30th. Afterall, this time of year we have lots of clean up following winter.Shortly after making the purchase, I recieved an email requesting a call to the office to schedule. I did so and left a message asking for a call back. During the timely call back, we set an appt. for Friday, April 4th between Noon and 1pm so that we could obtain an estimate for additional work while at our house to complete the Big Deal. This is where it all starts to go bad. Woodruff Tree Service did not show up at all that day, or any day following. There was no call back. I called them again, the evening of the 4th requesting the courtesy of a call back to explain (just in case an accident or something had happened). Obviously, this company has no intention of calling me back or completing the work which I've paid for as I've still not heard from them up to this point (4/12). By now, I've gotten several other estimates from companies that do show up when scheduled, and we have the work scheduled for completion. I'd like my money returned, and will attribute this to one to the experiences I try to avoid by using Angie's List.

They were very unresponsive. I left several messages but they never contacted me back. I hired someone else to do the work.

The crew showed up on time. Split into two groups and proceeded to complete the contract. I asked for additional services and they responded , and were able to clear out the brush in no time. They were courteous and professional and cleaned up the yard . A good firm to work with.

Several unanswered phone calls and sounded irritated once they did call back like it was an inconvience to follow up. After stating they would call back confirming if they were going to come out and do the job that day, they never called. Gave up and was getting ready to call someone else when they called saying they were on their way. They did a good job and were very quick in completing the work. I feel that I could have gotten better customer service with another company and I'm sure the same quality work without the hassle of no responses to phone messages. All that said, I would find someone else if there is a next time.

It took several phone calls and reminders to get the Woodruff out to my house to take down a pine tree. It was a frustrating experience, but once they were here, they did a good job.

I walked through the yard and discussed other landscaping options at the estimate appointment and we agreed on a whole other project. All in all working around bad weather we had 6 trees and two large areas of honeysuckle and scrub removed. They hauled away all debris and wood. Left the property neat and tidey and aware of all other landscaping. Very happy with the crew, the work done and the results.

No more contact after repeated calls and messages left. I selected them because they had good reviews with favorable prices up to this point. I see reviews on here for satisfied customers after 3/5. Why not do the work for me? I have really tried to give them the business for this small job. I guess I must accept they are not going to do the work. After this review I will give them until 4/1 to set up a date and follow through to complete the work or I will find someone else.
