I received a good estimate from Jeff Wingler. The estimate was well presented and covered everything that I wanted done. I was called on my phone the day before the work began. The entire job was done in less than a day. I have been very satisfied with the result. The installers even gave me a lesson on the proper use of the new windows.

They had a very competitive price, this work was done due to hail damage. I was the one who worked with the insurance company. They showed up to do the work on time. After the work was done some of the work needed to be fixed after there were problems. They then came back four months later and now everything looks fine. They seem like a good company! They are actually coming out soon to put windows in a screened in porch. We would recommend them to others.

Their prices came in right where they said they would. They showed up on time to do the work. This work took about two weeks and they finished it right on schedule. The cleaned up when the work was finished. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

They did a good job the first time we hired them so we had them come back out to do this additional work for us. They showed up on time to provide the estimate and also to complete the work. They cleaned up after themselves everyday. This took a few months to complete as I started adding jobs while they were doing other work. The workers were friendly, professional and courteous except for the siding manager. The siding manager wouldn't come back so I contacted them about this and were able to take care of everything for me. When the wind blew off a piece of the flashing they took care of everything right away. I would use them again and would also recommend them.

Their salesman, Dennis was wonderful, but the workmen used left a lot to be desired. The crew was alright, but could be condescending at times and their appearance was unprofessional. There were a few issues with the work, but they came back out and fixed it.

Overall they did a good job. They showed up on time when they said they would and did what they said they were going to do. This work took two days to be completed. They cleaned up after the first day and then did another clean up when they were finished with the work. I would use them again and would refer them to others.

The initial installation went well. The installer was efficient and punctual. However, after the installation there was a problem with the water control unit. After having a follow up service call about five times (over the course of a year and a half) they eventually fixed the problem when a third party vendor came to do the work.

They showed up on time to do the siding work. They were friendly, professional, and courteous. They even explained what they were doing. They cleaned up a little bit every day and at the end of the job everything was cleaned up as well. I later contacted them for a kitchen remodel however I wasn't very happy with their responsiveness. They sent someone out to look at the kitchen and said that before they could do anything they would need a major down payment. I thought this was excessive so I did not call them back to do the work.

We felt that their prices were a little higher but they came highly recommended to us. They did an excellent job so we felt that their prices were worth it. They showed up on time when they said they would and did what they said they were going to do. They explained to us what they were doing and seemed very knowledgeable. This was a great experience! We would use them again and would recommend them to others!

It was an excellent job and we were very pleased with them. They had a gentleman come out and go over with us what we wanted. He then took us to different places to select the granite, appliances and everything else. It was very good. They did professional work and it was well done. They showed up on time to do the work. They did what they said what they were going to do. We would use them again and would recommend them to others.

Eric Wingler gave us an on-site estimate. The estimate was the lowest of the four we had, and we thought their product was the nicest we had seen. We also had NFRC data showing the windows were among the most energy efficient. Unlike other contractors, they were able to schedule the work within a just a few weeks. Apparently Wincore has a very quick turn-around on orders. As scheduled, Rick and Shawn came to our house to begin work. They were courteous and hard-working. They listened to special concerns we had and were happy to make small changes we requested. The window installation was done within the first 3 days. Then it took them a few more days to finish all the aluminum caps. The caps were difficult because of the shape of the old wood molding they were covering. They worked very hard on those caps, and the final result looks great. Other contractors have commented on how great those caps look. We have had the windows for 4 months now, and the quality is excellent.

We waited seven months for Mr. Wingler to send us an accounting. In the meantime, a reputable stucco company assessed the situation and said that the only way to remedy the brown caulking stains on the stucco was to paint -- all of the stucco for a cost of $6000 -- which we did. Seven months later, Mr. Wingler finally billed us for the balance of the original contract, $2000. In fact, we should bill Mr. Wingler for the full cost to remedy the damage his workers caused to our home. However, what we want is for Mr. Wingler to send us a receipt stating that our account has a zero balance, that we owe them nothing. Mr. Wingler said this was an unfair resolution and that we were taking advantage of him just to paint our house. We explained that unpainted stucco doesn't need to be painted but once you paint it, you have to repaint it again and again. We bought a stucco house in the first place because we NEVER wanted to have that maintenance burden.
Response from Wingler Construction & Remodeling

"When we removed the original old aluminum window caps, which were not installed by our company, there was original old caulk showing. We made our caps larger to cover the old caulk lines visible. We tried to use mineral spirits and a wire brush to clean off the old caulk for her even though we did not put it there. The member made a statement to our installer not to worry about it because she was going to have the house painted. Therefore, she is trying to get out of paying us for work we completed. We have only received $1,709.18 and not the $3,000 the member has claimed she paid to us. Our raw costs paid out to date for the work we have completed totals $3,689."

When I was restoring the household, I decided during the middle of the work that I was going to stay in the house rather than sell. This added more work than the estimate had been for but the company accommodated me in making new changes that I had asked for.

This is my 2nd (maybe 3rd) try at using Wingler and Sons Construction. It's now my last. I am less than impressed by their customer service. I also agree with another report that they are less than interested in small $ jobs. I had the feeling from meeting Dennis for the estimate that I was wasting his time and, after our conversation, I realize he wasted mine.
Response from Wingler Construction & Remodeling

"THANK YOU FOR THE INQUIRY YOU MADE TO WINGLER & SONS CONSTRUCTION. YOU ARE CORRECT IN THAT THIS WAS YOUR THIRD INQUIRY TO US WITH THE PREVIOUS MEETINGS BEING IN 2005, UNFORTUNATELY IT SEEMS WE HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO WIN YOUR BUSINESS. QUESTIONING THE INTEGRITY OF OUR BUSINESS AND WITH DIRECT REGARD TO OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OF HIGH IMPORTANCE WITH US SO WE FELT IT IMPERATIVE TO MEET WITH ALL INVOLVED. WITH THAT SAID I WOULD LIKE TO OFFER DENNIS’ SIDE OF THE MEETING. DENNIS STATED THAT UPON CONTACT TO SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT HE WAS INFORMED THAT YOU WERE NOT ENTIRELY SURE WHETHER OR NOT YOU WERE GOING TO DO THE PROJECT, REGARDLESS HE OFFERED TO COME OUT. HE ARRIVED PUNCTUALLY AND WAITED FOR YOU TO ARRIVE AT SAID PLACE AND TIME. HE SAID HE SPENT ROUGHLY 20 MINUTES GOING OVER YOUR IDEAS AND LAID OUT AND ACCOMPLISHED YOUR GOAL AND PROVIDED A PRICE IN THE AREA OF $20,000 (WHICH IS BY NO MEANS A “SMALL $ PROJECT”). HE WAS INFORMED THAT YOU DEFINITELY WERE NOT GOING TO PROCEED WITH THE PROJECT AT THAT TIME, PERHAPS IN A FEW YEARS ONCE BUDGET WAS ESTABLISHED. WITH THAT SAID, I APOLOGIZE IF YOU FELT THIS MATTER SHOULD HAVE BEEN HANDLED IN ANOTHER FASHION. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING WE CAN DO TO MEND OUR LONG STANDING RELATIONSHIP. WE WOULD STILL LIKE TO WORK WITH YOU ON A PROJECT SOMETIME. THANK YOU, WINGLER & SONS CONSTRUCTION"

Alley never called. I called him on November 5th to inquire about the estimate. He said he figured there was no hurry. He said the estimate was $2,650.00. I asked if I could get that in writing. He said sure. He said he'd have the office type it up and send it to me. On December 14th I called him again and asked where the estimate was. He said they should have sent it by now. He said he resolve the problem. It is now January 7th and I still have no estimate. Now, I don't care because I wouldn't hire this company if they were the last one available. The receptionist (Kathy) was right, they are not interested in doing this job.

This is our second experience with Wingler and Sons and they have once again met all of our expectations. They were able to meet our time frame which was to have entire project completed within about 60 days of when we first talked with them in order to meet our insurance company s policies regarding hail damage. They were up front with us about the delays they had, which were related to massive hornet nest and a wind storm. All of the materials were cleaned up and the crews that worked on our house were very polite. The office staff treated us with respect and always returned our calls in a reasonable amount of time.

We had to wait about a week for the estimate, due to the salesman's vacation. Compared to other estimates we had, the salesman didn't appear to know his product as well as the others. He was very friendly, however.

I had just bought my house, and I noticed that when I opened my kitchen window, it slammed shut. I could see that something plastic in the left side of the window frame was broken. The previous owners had used Wingler and Sons Construction to replace the three windows in the front of the house. So, I called Wingler and Sons and told them the make and model of my windows, and the date that they had been installed. I asked if there would be a service fee, and if they could come out and look at my window. I was told that there would be no service fee, and they would come out and fix the window. The repairman came out and replaced the inner workings on the window. He also showed me a couple of things that I did not know about the windows. And, he told me that I could have the warranty transferred to me for a $50.00 fee (something the previous owners failed to mention).

Overall, the process went fairly well. Originally got estimates during the fall/winter and chose to delay replacement until spring. The salesperson I dealt with was friendly and flexible; the only negative was his ability to quote prices on all the options for siding styles, there didn't seem to be a price list for easy reference. Once paperwork was signed, the work began several weeks later than promised. This didn't present problems, but was disappointed that I wasn't notified by the company of the delay, rather I had to contact them to see what was going on. Regarding the actual work, I was very impressed. Compared to other jobs in the area, they worked very quickly, cleaned up great and did a very good job. There was one minor problem area that was rectified immediate when I notified them.
