We have been going to Wild Birds Unlimited on E. Broad Street, and now on State St. in Westerville (near Polaris) for many years. They have helped us become more knowledgeable birdwatchers, and are always willing to answer questions and offer suggestions on how to pull in the type of birds we wish to see at our feeders.
We had never seen a hummingbird in our yard before, but wanted to set up a hummingbird feeder, and they gave us such great advice on products, where to set up the feeder, and what plants to have in the yard to attract them. Thanks to Wild Birds Unlimited, we now have hummers regularly coming to our feeders every day.
They offer great customer service, and really know and use the products that they sell. We have bought many feeders from them over the years, and they helped us plan our multi-feeder feeding station mounted off our deck, so we can view the birds all day long. They have been great for problem solving, and we love their No-Mess Blend birdseed, there are no hulls to litter the ground and attract undesirable critters. Its more expensive, but having no mess under the feeders, and no raccoons and opposums to chase off is worth the extra bucks. Their suggestion of a heated birdbath has proven to be the best advice we ever had on attracting birds, especially Robins, who love to bathe, even in the winter. We have had as many as 20 Robins lined up around the birdbath in late winter/early spring.
