Since its inception by co founders William Barr and Michael Strmac in 2002, Universal Windows Direct has lived by the philosophy of CANEI - "Constant and Never Ending Improvement". This philosophy holds true in all aspects of our business, from sales and marketing to installation and service and has catapulted UWD from a small, local home improvement company to one of the largest exterior remodeling companies in the country. Every one of our employees strives continuously to be the best in the business at what they do and provide our customers with only the highest levels of sales, service, and support. We think our company's history speaks to this goal and to the power of what we can accomplish by never settling. Universal Windows Direct of Columbus opened in 2016. Our products feature the exclusive UniShield brand and come with a transferable lifetime warranty on materials and labor. We are a fully licensed, bonded, and insured company and EPA Lead-Safe certified. In addition, a portion of every sale goes to support a growing list of local charities.

They where great, one of the best companies that have ever done work for me. The sales man Robert was very nice and he knew the window and all of its features well. After having many estimates I felt that this is by far the best window on the market for the price. No one will be able to beat the quality of this window. My wife and I are looking forward to many years of great performance and the savings in energy for years to come. If anyone I know is looking to replace there windows I will always tell them to contact Robert at Universal Windows Direct first.

I can't warn you enough, stay away from Universal Windows Direct, it's all smoke and mirrors! I ordered my windows from them on February 14th and it was a nightmare ever since. They had to come to my home 13 times for install appointments. They forgot to order several windows, their install teams were incompetent, and they never once called me with so much as an apology. They finished install the last week of July, 12 weeks after the original install date, and the entire time I was hounding them for the next steps and information. They ripped out and threw away my custom window trim and broke a marble sill that took 3 months to get replaced. They charged my account 100% for the install after the 1st installation appointment even though they didn't finish even a quarter of the work. They don't care once they have your money and they move onto their next person to scam. Do your homework, this is a big purchase and as you can see from my review and others there are several better options in the Columbus area.

From the salesman (John) who listened to me when I explained what I was interested in purchasing. Never did I feel pressured to purchase. Price was very competitive and warranty coverage and the upgrade of windows were the deciding factors. Joe who did the measurements and answered my questions and made necessary changes without hesitation. The Installers were on time and very professional and got the job done in a timely manner. Follow up service the next day gets straight A's. Windows Direct has been very easy to communicate with when I made calls, they made sure that all questions were answered and issues were solved,

Excellent! Fred led the crew of 3 and they busted their rear ends. They replaced 22 windows the first day and sealed them and came back the next day and finished all the trim. They did a great job! I would hire them again. “We Love our new windows “ !!!!!

Overall my experience with Universal Windows was good. Windows were installed in 2 days. The Installers were punctual, kind and cleaned up after themselves very well. Two marble sills were broken and a work order was issued at the completion of the job. I am being kept informed on the progress of the work order. The only issue I had was with the salesman, He was kind but as soon as I picked the Classic Windows he seemed to lose his interest and hurried me a bit. He also told me some of his sales tricks to make the price of the windows seem reasonable. A bit inappropriate. Due to the reviews and BBB I stuck with Universal despite the salesman.

The removal and installation of 12 replacement windows The salesman was very knowledgeable gave us multiple options without any high-pressure tactics. After the first measurement a second technician arrived double check the measurements to insure the windows before ordered there wasn’t any mistakes. Installation team was very knowledgeable actually performed some seal repair above and beyond what my expectation would have been. After the installation they took my wife and I around to inspect the windows showed us the operations and before they left clean the Windows inside and out And left the area as clean if not cleaner than they found it. I highly recommend this company very professional very friendly and have high standards in they’re hiring Of their professional staff.

I am very pleased with the quality of the windows and the professionalism and experience of the crew. This was our first experience with replacement windows and they completed 24 windows in 3 days! All the windows were in on he 1st day !!!! The finish work and trim followed. Amazing! I am anxious to see how much we will save on our heating bills. From the free in-home estimate to completion, we definitely made the right choice!!

First presentation went well, quality of the windows was excellent. We had some question on the new line for windows which the rep was going to come out for. Price was one lump sum and not broken out, ( that is not how we do it is what I was told). A new person came a week or so later to show us the new window but was ill prepared he did not have the original quote and had to make a couple of calls to have questions answered. Felt pressured to sign tonight to get the best deal...reminded me of a car sales approach. That ultimately is what turned us off, even though they were priced hire they were in contention until the second visit

After requesting a free quote on Universal Window's website, I was promptly contacted and scheduled an appointment within the same day. The sales representative arrived not only on time, but early to the schedule home visit. He was courteous, friendly with pets and brought all information and props in on the first trip. He was very personable and made everyone feel at ease. After a very informative discussion about the company and product, measurements were taken of all the windows and a quote was provided. During this process, there was no pressure or aggressive sales tactics. Various options were discussed about financing and payment. Our salesman was knowledgeable on all aspects and it felt great knowing he was in our corner to help get us the best pricing possible that we were comfortable with. You can definitely tell the company is proud of their product, service, installation and warranty. Even if you're considering other companies, give Universal Windows Direct an opportunity to explain what they have to offer. I would recommend them to anyone and would use them again for any future projects. Overall, the experience was 12/10!!

Exceeded expectations. Luke spent multiple hours discussing figures with us to come up with the best deal possible for us. He was very accomidating, respectful and extremely kind to our dogs. Luke would even call our dogs over just to pet them while we were reviewing the information. Thank you, Luke for taking your time with us and being so kind with our animals. I would also like to thank you for not looking at only my husband when waiting for the approval and questions. I have had many sales men do this in the past which is very irritating but you did not do this once. You welcomed my opinion and my husbands equally and looked at both of us for the final desicion. It took three hours but we agreed upon six windows to replace our original windows from 1951. Luke never lost his enthusiasm the whole time. We are very elated to be able to joy the comfort and view of our new windows.

I have to say how extremely pleased we are with Universal Windows Direct, Columbus. Our sales rep, Luke Kelley is very personable, but not pushy! We have had several other reps from different companies, and there is no comparison! Luke is the BEST! As far as windows, we feel that this product is top quality and the installers are thorough, professional and knowledgeable. Our son's windows are so nice, that we decided to replace our windows as well! The price was extremely reasonable and fit into our budget. I highly recommend this company for your window needs!

The sliding door is really nice. I'm having complication with the setup. I've been trying to have them fix a few things since they had done the work and they've not been in contact. They put in an order and it's been over a month. The salesman are cool, but as far as the installers they are just not good at their job. They covered up some rotted wood, so I'm trying to get them to fix some things and they are giving me the run around.

He walked us through our options of the custom window we would need and answered all the questions I had. He helped us choose the right window for the space and our budget and I am so excited to be getting our new window soon!
