Todd's Roofing & Siding

First, I want to say that I was pleased with the quality of the work Todd did. My issue is with how he handled the process that he was supposed to follow. The home Todd worked on is in Hilliard. They require that all contractors that work within the City be registered with the City. This is a very simple process of completing a form, providing a certificate of insurance and paying a small fee. Todd did not know about this before starting the job. I tried to work with him to get this done. I even offered to pay the registration fee for him. While performing the job, he told me that his wife was going to take care of the registration. Well, that never happened. Now the work is complete, he has been paid in full and the City is on my back as to why the contractor never completed the registration process. I have made several attempts to contact Todd to get this done but he refused to return any phone calls or texts. I would not recommend Todd for any work for this reason alone. Very unprofessional.

On 11/3/15, I called Todd of Todd's Roofing and left a message.  He promptly called my back and I indicated that I needed a roof repair for a roof that had a leak.  He explained his basic prices, gave me the I'm not the cheapest or the highest speech, and he agreed to come by the property that evening when I got off work.  He arrived on time and said he would take care of the repair right then, I was elated since I really needed the leak fixed since I was going to have to do drywall repair once the leak was fixed.  He went up on the roof and a few minutes later he came down and said he took care of the leak, he also said since it was getting dark if he missed any area to call him and he would come back and take care it, since he guaranteed his work.  He came inside while I wrote the check and he explained how he supported America and only hired Americans and wouldn't employ illegals and he also said again he guaranteed his work.  At that time I inquired about prices for other property I was interested in having him potentially roof and side so he gave me his business card and I wrote the prices on the back for future reference.  During the next rain storm I noticed the roof was still leaking in the same place that Todd was supposed to have fixed, I called him on 11/7/2015 to tell him the roof was still leaking and he said, he would come out that following week to fix it as he guarantees his work.  My husband is ill and we were back and forth to the hospital so I told him to call me and let me know when he had been there so I can check the work.  He never called that week, so I called him twice on 11/13 and he would not respond.  I waited since we had high winds and thought I would give him the benefit of doubt and he never called.  I called him 3 times on 11/16 asking to please contact me to schedule his return to fix the leak, I received no response.   Since the roof is still leaking, I now need to contact an honest roofer to come and fix what Todd refuses to fix.  I will not ever recommend him and I will tell everyone I know that owns rental property to not use him and why.

Contacted Todd due to an occasional roof leak.  He "fixed" the leak, and offered a deal on roof replacement, so I contracted Todd for the job.
During the job, one of his workers fell from a ladder and severely bent one of the gutters on the house.  Instead of replacing the gutter, he bent it back into shape, but it still isn't quite perfect and no longer fully drains.
After the job, there were many roofing nails scattered across the property, which is somewhat to be expected, but there were also dozens of cigarette butts left in the yard.  Additionally, during one (rainy) day of work, a work truck was parked partially on the grass, leaving a large divot in the yard.
On one of the sections of roof, Todd reused a section of flashing which joins a wall with a shingled area.  With such a high priced job, this should have been replaced.
Worst of all, the occasional leak still occurs afterward.  I have attempted to contact Tood concerning this, as the work is still within his labor warranty period, but he now will no longer answer calls from my number.  Todd blames the issue on ice dams, even though the leak has occurred during both Winter and Summer months since the work was completed.  So the issue for which I originally contacted Todd still exists, and he won't return my calls/messages.

Great job installing aluminum siding which matched the existing siding on my home.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT. THE CONTRACTOR IS A CRAFTSMAN WHO TAKES PRIDE IN HIS WORK. THE ROOF LOOKS GREAT. IT WAS DONE ON TIME. IN ADDITION THE CONTRACTOR WAS THE LOWEST BID WITH THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF MATERIAL.
