Good responsiveness from company from estimate to answering my questions and working with me on price and services I needed to take care of right now and those that could wait. Repair team was punctual, friendly and performed the work much quicker than I expected on a very cold day. They were happy to answer all my questions about the actual installation.

They were able to match the brick perfectly. They came promptly for the estimate and to do the work. They did a great job.

We called David to look at our chimney, they called back the same afternoon and came out the very next day. We were very happy to be told that we only needed spot tuck pointing. He also recommended sealing the stone and showed me where some mortar was crumbling that I did not notice. He gave me a printed estimate on the spot.

I called the company for an estimate. The representative came out within a few days and gave me a written estimate. He dropped off several brick samples for me to pick from. When I selected their company to do the work, they came out within another week and finished the work in one day. The chimney looks very nice and the workers cleaned up the work area. They came back in three weeks and sealed the bricks. All the employees were courteous and professional. This was not the least expensive estimate I got, but I liked the thoroughness of their estimate and contract and felt comfortable working with them.

It went well. I had some concerns when the job was finished. I called the company and the owner came out that very day and looked at the work. He agreed that the bottom edge was a little ragged. The crew was working close by and came out and fixed the problem that afternoon. I asked about a small hole in my garage which had nothing to do with the chimney and they patched that also.

They did a beautiful job! They adhered to zoning and German Village restrictions.

David Thompson arrived to work on estimate he took pictures of our chimney and said he would send the estimate in the mail. I called two weeks later after no contact, and asked for them to call me back. 1 month later still no contact.

I needed some tuckpointing work done on my chimney. I contacted D M Thompson, and they came for an estimate. The representative was very professional and knowledgeable, and he gave me a pretty fair estimate. I decided to hire them on, and I was happy with the work.

I had called them over a year before and got an estimate for having it repaired. I should have done it then, but didn't because of the money, it cost me more this way, but it had to be done. They have always responded quickly.

Mr. Thompson responded quickly with an appointment and arrived on time. He produced a very professional looking quote on the spot using a computer and printer in his truck. We went with another provider due to a slightly lower price.

They rearranged their schedule and went above and beyond to replace our chimney. They did a beautiful job.

I called to ask for an estimate on a masonry job, and I left a message asking them to call. They never returned my call.

Although they were nice, I decided to go with another company that was cheaper than them. They were prompt and they were very friendly, but their pricing was a little too high.

They replaced a fair amount of the firebox and added a liner. In the course of things, before they put the liner in, they had to repair the chimney; they used a fiber optic device (a scope).

For seven years, we had recurrent problems with mild mold in several corners of our 1931 brick house and extensive mold in an upstairs closet. Last year, D.M. Thompson Masonry repaired the tuck pointing, sealed and caulked the chimney, and sealed the entire house. This year, when we found mold again, we called them, thinking the waterproofing hadn't worked. The technicians were at our house for about an hour, testing the waterproofing (water beaded up just like it was supposed to) and looking around to see what else could be causing the problem. They discovered a spot in the fascia above that closet where the caulking had fallen out of a butt joint. To verify their theory that this was causing the problem, one fellow on a ladder pointed a hose at the gap while I went inside with the other technician. We could see the water spider-veining its way across the wall! After that, we hired a mold remediation specialist and had the fascia repaired. The mold in the corners turned out to be from dormant spores (from old water damage) that became active when the humidifier was set too high during the winter. Finding the source of the mold in that closet was a real detective story, and it was D.M. Thompson Masonry that put us on the road to a solution.

The crew came out as scheduled. They completed the work promptly and did a great job cleaning up. We would definitely hire them again. In fact...the chimney at our new house is leaking and had been repaired by the previous owner (they obviously didn't use DM Thompson) before we bought the house. So we will be calling them again this week.

They were very pleasant over the phone. The lady that answered the phone was very helpful. The man and his assistant that came out were very polite. They were easy to work with. The price seemed a little high, but considering that they were up there for about three hours it was probably justified.

Showed on time, performed the work, cleaned up afterwards. The workers were polite. Good experience.

After a bad start with another chimney company (they didn't come out to do the work for weeks), I called D.M. Masonry on the recommendations of Angie's List. They came out promptly for the estimate and we scheduled the work to be done after the holidays once the weather permitted. The work was done well and in a timely manner.

They did a great job and were always responsive with questions, etc. Also, their price was fair. They were one of 3 quotes I got, and they were the lowest (although not by much). When they did the job, they ran into complications and spent a lot more time than expected, but they honored the quote and didn't charge me more. I would definitely recommend them for any type of chimney repair.
