Streetwerkz was the only shop that promised to get the work done on short notice & within the time frame I needed.
They also had the most competitive rate. Job was completed on time. Results were excellent, with one small caveat. One of the rims had a little metal curb rash, that could have been burnished up a little better, but quality of the powdercoating was top-notch.
I would recommend that if you want any smoothing or burnishing done that you point that out to him at the time you take a project to him. Josh, the owner, was very pleasant & professional to deal with.
"An accurate account of events is as follows: On 8/19/14 the chairs were dropped off to Streetwerkz by [member name removed], who indicated that she was bringing the chairs in for her partner. Options were discussed about blast only and powder coat only, or disassemble, blast, powder coat and reassemble with stainless hardware. At that time prices were given for each option, including the $700 quote for both chairs to get the full treatment. To which [member name removed] replied, “that’s what we’ll probably do, she has plenty of money to pay for it” Nothing was finalized on 8/29 as [member name removed] had to bring in her partner to review colors. On 10/6 Michelle from Streetwerkz called and left a message for [member name removed] asking if they could come in to choose a color for their project. A few days later both ladies arrived to pick out a color for the chairs, review time lines and cost. All detail were gone over with both ladies and a price of $350 for each char was agreed upon, and a turn around time of 3-4 weeks was given. The chairs were completed in 3 weeks, [member name removed] was called who then picked up approximately 1 week later. Streetwerkz educated the ladies fully before any work began, communicated through out the entire process and met or exceeded all quality standards, was on time, on budget. Streetwerkz feels this is a case of buyers remorse or one person in the relationship spending money the other did not agree with and expecting Streetwerkz to lose money as a result. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and have built trust in the community by having a reputation for not being the cheapest in town, rather providing quality and service not found in other coatings application companies in the central Ohio area. Invoices are given for completed jobs, not quotes, orders in our software are processed as quotes first, then transferred to an invoice. [member name removed] receiving a quote on the day the job was picked up was a simple and honest mistake on Streetwerkz part NOT a tool used for dishonesty or theft as indicated. We regret that a missed stroke on a keyboard would open a door for [member name removed] to feel this about Streetwerkz. There is nothing to be done about the “additional $52.50 charge”. As indicated on the quote the $52.00 is for sales tax that we are required by law to charge. We feel that using the Angie’s List as a weapon to extort a refund of any amount is unfair. Streetwerkz completed this contract honestly and fairly. Best Regards, Michelle Kennedy Office Manager Streetwerkz LLC"
