"I had a scheduled apt at 5:45 with [Member Name Removed] on Tues 4/25. I was 15 min late due to my phone dyeing and I didn't have my GPS to find her street. I eventually found her street and was at her house at 6 pm. She showed me the areas that she wanted to paint or touch up, and I let her know that I would send her the proposal through email. We had her email from the initial call for the request for the estimate. I was actually working on her proposal on Saturday morning 4/29, when I saw her review on Angie's List. I obviously, decided not to send her a proposal."
"I think [Member Name Removed]is confused with the details of this project. When he called our firm, he had just had a bad experience with another painting company. He interviewed me over the phone, and quizzed me about staining. Once he was done with the interview, I gave him a price to stain and poly eight doors, with a pick up and delivery fee. I also told him, since we haven't seen the doors, the price could possibly change due to extra prep. I sent Mike to pick up the doors and once we had them back at our shop, we realized that the doors were paint grade quality and not a high quality door for staining. I called him and advised him to return the doors, since they had wood fillers (putty) all over the doors and to get stain grade doors. He didn't want to do this, so he agreed to the extra cost to prep each door, knowing that he would still see the wood putty through the stain. Once the job was completed and we delivered and hung the doors, he told Mike that he would mail us the check. When we received the check it was for the price I quoted on the phone, minus the freight and extra man hrs for prep. I didn't bother calling him, I just made a note on his contact information in our data base. A few weeks later, [Member Name Removed]calls us, and said that he bought more doors and wanted them stained. I told him we were very busy, and wouldn't be able to get to the doors for a while, and that we would need to be compensated for the remaining balance from the last job, before doing any more work with him. Then I saw his report...."
"[Member Name Removed]never contacted me about the trim being the wrong finish. I went through the job folder, and we never purchased any gloss paint, so not too sure what he's talking about. I left a VM to discuss, with no call back."
