Very well. Skip is a hands-on kind of guy, will come out on the spot and have you explain exactly what is wrong/or needs to be fixed. He often (I've used his service several times and have been happy with the work on every occasion) has time to make small, simple repairs as you wait and is very creative with his solutions to repair problems. Is great with suggestions on how to keep up with the maintenance on all the many systems, such as, water, electrical, generator, propane etc. in order to save you money in the long run. I've used his service 3 or 4 times and will continue to do so in the future.

When we took it in he gave us an estimate of around $700 withing knowing what was wrong with the car other than our description. After his mechanics took it apart, they replaced themaster cylinder and slave cylinder and the car was fixed. It cost less than the estimate! I was very pleased that he was honest with me about it, he didn't replace any unnecessary parts, and got the car back working again. I really appreciated his honesty and good business practices. I think I have found a mechanic I can trust and would recommend him.

Skip was recommended to us by a neighbor. He personally works with the client and he was very helpful. We have a 2000 Inifiniti G20 that needs a bit of maintenance. Skip did a thorough diagnostic of the vehicle and presented us with a list of all of the major things that need to be completed. He was very good about prioritizing everything, and letting us know what needed to be fixed (in order to be safe to drive) and what could wait. He also worked with us on the price, when we presented him with a lower quote from another company. He was still a little higher, but we felt more comfortable using a local business (rather than big chain) with someone we felt we could trust. We fixed the first set of issues, and will return to Skip to fix the remaining issues when the time comes.

They did a good job but they left my camper unlocked and it was broken into. They didn't want to pay for it and so I had to take them to court. But, they did a really excellent job on the electrical. It is a really unsafe area and they leave things unlocked. Although, they have a security system. They are very careless because I told them three times specifically to lock it. They were very irresponsible about it. Otherwise, they know what they doing. I thought the price was reasonable.
Response from Skip's Service Ctr
"Thank you, (member name removed), for your response. Please note when a thief wants in, they will do tons of damage to a vehicle. My alarm system is around the whole fenced perimeter of my parking lot, has motion sensors and is lit. One nice thing is no damage was done to your vehicle. We now lock all vehicles at night, and have had no problems since my neighbors have moved out which was over a year and a half ago. Once again, it was great dealing with you even though we had this happen."

Skip's Service Center is honest and reasonably priced, the two attributes that I think everyone looks for in a car repair place. We first discovered Skip's in 2010, when we bought a 1987 Toyota Mini-Cruiser RV (it wasn't easy finding a mechanic who could work on a vehicle as large as an RV). When we bought a used truck, there was no question that we would bring it to Skip's for service. We had bought the truck, which has a rebuilt salvage title, from a nearby auto parts store/junkyard. We knew it needed a good once-over, so we would know what kind of shape it was in and what work might need to be done. We dropped it off at Skip's on a Sunday after the loud-ish exhaust got much louder, after an exhaust pipe disconnected from the muffler. Despite having the truck dropped off with no warning, Skip's was able to take a look at the truck on Tuesday, and completed all the work on Wednesday. Skip is absolutely wonderful about helping you evaluate what work needs to be done now and what work can wait. Skip's feels like an old-school, trustworthy, neighborhood mechanic shop. When we have Skip's work on one of our vehicles, we are confident that only the necessary work is being done and being done well.
