Jamie met with me last fall to discuss the options available to replace our 36 year old furnace and 10 year old heat pump. He explained the differences in the units, answered all my questions, and gave me a proposal. We waited until this spring to make a final decision and go forward. Jamie was very professional and knowledgeable throughout the process. Mark and Steve arrived on time last Monday. They introduced themselves and got right to work. They were professional and very polite. Before leaving, they showed me how to operate the thermostat and humidifier. Jamie came by to make sure all was completed before Mark and Steve left. We are looking forward to using Sears Heating and Cooling for our heating and cooling needs.

They had the brand that I wanted, which was Bryant. When they came out and did the preliminary talk about what they offered he was very straight forward. The price they gave me was within the ballpark of other prices I got. One man did most of the work. He took about 6 hours to install. Everything is working just fine so far!

With the coupon I e-mailed the company and they responded within the hour to set-up the appointment.  The guy was very professional and did a good repair job, including finding some water in the furnace from condensation (that was an additional charge).  He was very patient when I asked questions and he made sure that I understood his answers.

Very good and responsive.  Had to order part, so returned the next day..that night lost heat again..called and they came out found out it was another part that needed repaired also..another $450.00 (they didn't take my coupon) Just took off for being on contract with them..so decided to get new furnace..should have checked pricing, but couldn't due to it being one of the coldest days on record and no heat except electric heaters running..so bought and installed their furnace.  Haven't had any problems so far.  But the guy showed up early to install and I wasn't ready for him...he was a little on the too friendly, as my daughter didn't like his sense of humor as he woke her to get access to the furnace area.  She would describe him as rude.  But the job was completed that day.

As noted above, the last visit was no different from any other.  The technician called to tell he was on his way and arrived when he said he would.  He did his inspection and cleaning, told me his results, and cleaned up after himself.

He was very professional and courteous and identified the major issues immediately. He then explained everything he was going to do after he picked up the correct part. He then made the repair, tuned up my furnace with new filter and air sensor in minimum time. The furnace now runs quietly and we are very pleased...

I have been using them for about 3 years. I usually use them twice a year for tune ups. They are really cheap. The technicians are nice and responsible and they do not try to sell unnecessary services. They also always send me emails to confirm my appointment date with me.

Sears sent Brian out to work on my furnace.  Brian did a thorough diagnostic of the furnace to determine the problem.  He showed me the issue (I hadn't been changing the filter regularly so the coils were dirty causing the heating elements to burn out.)  Brian provided a quote and went back for the parts.  He replaced the heating elements, cleaned the coils and provided a filter to get me started.  After taking care of the inside unit he also cleared ice and snow off the outside unit, making sure that it was working correctly.  I was glad that Sears had someone available and Brian did a thorough and professional job.

I have a service maintenance plan with Sears Heating Co. on my Bryant furnance and air-condtioner.  Jodi checks the air-conditioning in the spring and the furnace in the fall.  He is very  knowledgeable and dependable.   I feel confident that both are in good working condition after he does the scheduled maintenance.  He is always helpful with any questions about the furnace or air-conditioner and also with the programming of my Bryant Evolution Control scheduling  thermostat.   Sears Heating Co. is  wonderful to do business with and Jodi is a great representative of this company.

"[member name removed] called us at 8:30am Saturday and said he had a company install a security system Friday. [member name removed] told our representative who scheduled his call that his heat didn't work after they left. We sent our on-call tech and he got there at 10am. Our tech fixed the wires that were damaged on the security install for $50. He said we should warranty their workmanship because we installed the furnace over 13 years ago. We informed him that was well out of the warranty period and that although we bent over backwards to get to him so quickly that we could not warranty another companies workmanship. He then became very rude, combative and used extremely foul language. We asked him to use another HVAC company for his future needs."

They came to the house as arranged.  I was racing to make the appointment.  The tech was politely waiting for me. We had spoken on the phone when he was giving me his eta.  He came to the back to see the a/c-heat pump coil and saw the hole in the condensor.  The next biz day, they gave me the cost of fixing it, around $2250, which was around $1000 less than others.  Tomorrow they install it.  Good.  We're cold!

Estimated cost was much higher than others.  Trying to push for decision on the spot.  When that did not happen, Sears called the next day saying they just started a huge promotion.

the sales person was very knowledgable and friendly. He came to my house on the hottest day of the year, but didn't complain or rush me to make a decision on which unit was best for my home. I appreciate his honesty and that he wasn't just trying to make a sale. The installer was wonderful, although there were some challenges - it started poring the rain as he was just finishing pulling all his tools and the unit from his truck. He was completely professional, continued to work as much as possible, and was very thoughtful to not track mud into the house and on my carpet. It took longer than expected to complete, and he did have to call in another to help at the end, but I'm very pleased with the unit and with the vendor.

Through use of a test of the electrical meter determined that heater and/or A/C has been using an unusual amount of electricity, thus driving up my electrical bills. Have used Sears Heating and Cooling for more than a decade and have always been highly satisfied with their service. Sears representative arrived on time [1/2 hour early in fact] and quickly determined that central A/C unit needed cleaning [heater was fine]. Cleaned A/C housing and coil. Now I'll have to see if my heating bills go down.

There was nothing wrong with it. This is something you don’t see very often.  They put a little freon in it but did not charge anything. They are very responsive and make sure to call you beforehand if anything is wrong. I am very pleased with them.
