We had a great experience with Rosati Windows! The salesman was not high pressure at all. He made his points, explained why their windows are awesome and got back to us with a quote a few days later. They were much cheaper than a few other quotes I had gotten and much easier to deal with. We could not get some of these salesmen from competing companies to leave our house, even though we had a newborn baby at the time. Weather delayed the installation date a bit but they were awesome at keeping us updated. The windows were installed in less than 2 days. A sash had a chip out of it and upon their second inspection, they repaired that as well. They send someone out after installation to make sure all is good and that the customer is happy. We love our windows and Rosati made it a fairly painless process.

I had a salesman come over Saturday 5-4-13to give me a quote. He suggested that I visit the showroom the following week to look at the products. I went to visit the showroom the following Monday ( 5-6-13). I was completely ignored when I was in the showroom. Even one sales woman walked past me twice and just looked away and kept walking when I tried to get her attention. After walking around the showroom three times, I gave up and left. The receptionist didn't even look up when I came in or left. . When the salesman came to give me a quote, he kept on stressing the importance of customer service. I didn't see it when I wanted some questions answered in the showroom.

Sometimes when we are very busy, people forget their number one purpose is to take care of our customers. Normally my receptionist is very service oriented. The price was quite a bit higher than the other estimate we received. The Rosati esimate was for vinyl replacement windows. We were more interested in a faux wood look (to match our existing sills). The salesperson indicated that owner would need to provide that estimate (wood composite). I never heard anything further from the company. Given the price disparity I don't think I would have used Rosati anyway. I was just surprised to not hear anything back.

Based on our records we provide a price for vinyl and wood on 12/12/12. Sales rep made a follow up call on 12/20/12 and left message on customers voice mail. Customer never returned our call. We do not manufacture a composite window so I am wondering if he has mixed us up with another company. Thanks, Mike Rosati

I contracted with Rosati to install 3 windows. All three windows had marble sills with gray swirls on white. They were stained and the salesman said they could replace them with imitation marble which would not conduct cold like the marble. He did not know if they could get the gray swirl but said he would call me and let me know if they could not. He did not call so I assumed they could. I was unpleasantly surprised when the installers put in solid white. They appear to me to be cheap pieces of plastic and are not attractive at all. The installers said they would let the saleman know about the problem with the sills. A representative from Rosati called about a week after the installation and asked if I would want someone to stop by for a review of the work and explanation of how the windows work. I said yes and also asked for a copy of the guarantee. When the reviewer arrived I explained to him about the problem with the sills. He said he would check and have the salesman call me. That was on 4/25/2013 and as of 5/8/2013, I have heard nothing. I have also not received a copy of the guarantee. The installers did not caulk around one of the sills assuming that they would be replacing them. The quality of the windows appears to be excellent; however, I do not know that I would contract with this company again due to the difficulty of getting an answer on the sills or getting a copy of the guarantee. I would strongly recommend that if you have this company do work in your home that you clean up after them thoroughly. I found several slivers of broken glass on the floor under one of the windows they installed and found pieces of broken glass on the driveway where their truck was parked.

I wanted to give Rosati Windows a five rating BUT we have one problem. We got the widows that are wood-look inside and brown on the outside which I could not be happier with BUT we have one window that does not latch correctly. This window has not been right since the day it was put in. We have had the Service Department out to the house twice and we were told that we will just have to "WORK WITH IT" to get it to close properly. We were told that this window would not be replaced no matter what. Like I said this window in not right and has not been right since it was very first installed!! We used Rosati because of the commercials and liked what the owner seemed to stand for but we have been disappointed in this window. I really do think that all of the windows should be correct!!

glass repair, replacement windows

Several years ago we bought a number of windows for our home from Rosati's Windows. In January, 2013 a seal broke on one of the windows, horribly discoloring the inside of the window. We assumed that like our experience with other big companies, Rosati's would try to weasel out of replacing the window, by claiming we had owned it for too long or we must've done something to the window, or whatever. However, when we went to the showroom and told one of the people there our problem, he assured us it was no problem and that their warranty was a complete lifetime warranty. He took our information, and customer service contacted us within a couple hours. They did not even come out and check the window, but simply verified which window it was and the correct measurements, and ordered new glass immediately. The glass came in two days later, and we scheduled a time for installation. This was done on Friday, April 13, 2013. There was no charge at all for the service, not even some minimum replacment charge. It is truly rare for a company to so totally live up to its lifetime warranty or other promises. We are very thankful we chose to Rosti's Windows for doing so and we love being able to see out the window. In addition, the Rosati installer was very helpful in two other minor issues in the house at that time. We have never met an individual who was so readily helpful without charge. Thank you Rosati's.

Things are great. There are huge improvements over the once that I had before. I don’t know if they serve this are anymore. I have nothing negative to say about them. They came in a bitterly cold day in the winter time. It was horribly cold and they did all of my windows in the house, which was 11 windows. They did an absolutely magnificent job. I have nothing but praise for them. Before the installers came the sales person comes in and helps you decide what on the kind of windows and takes measurements so, the windows can be custom made. When they make them and they have them already that is when the installers come out and put it the house. The salesman made sure that I had tampered glass in my floor to ceiling living room windows knowing that I have a lot of grandchildren around and they did not want that glass to be breakable. They were really concerned about having the safest windows with little kids around. None of the competitors even mentioned that. I was very impressed with that. He was more than just trying to sell me their products. He was trying to make sure that I had the right thing for the right product. Their price is much less expensive. These are very high quality vinyl windows. It is very easy to clean and also airtight. They did a very nice job. They were very responsive and punctual. I would be happy to recommend them. I think I also have a warranty for the windows as long as I am in the house.

We bought replacement windows from Rosati about 4 or 5 years ago. Part of the reason we chose the company was because of their unconditional lifetime warranty. We'd never had reason to test the warranty before this year, since the windows have performed beautifully. This spring, however, during a very heavy rain, I noticed some water leaking from the bottom of the picture window in our kitchen's bay window area. I put a towel on the floor to soak it up, but it started coming in faster and faster. I was soaking through a towel every 10 minutes or so. In a panic, I called Rosati. They were not yet open (it was around 7:30 a.m.), so I left an urgent message and went back to moping up water. Fortunately, the rain let up and the leak slowed down on its own, but I was still concerned about the leak since more rain was forecast for later that week. Rosati called as soon as they opened and asked about the severity of the situation and apologized that they could not come out that same day, but they would send someone the next day around noon. I packed the area with towels and hoped for the best. The next day, Rob arrived ahead of schedule (about 30 minutes ahead) and went right to work on the window. He removed the glass and replaced some sealing tape that apparently hadn't adhered correctly to the window during installation. As an added precaution, he also applied a bead of caulk around the entire outside of the window. He worked quickly, but carefully. He was professional and very knowledgeable. He cleaned up before he left and didn't charge me anything for the visit or the repair. No pesky paperwork, either. Rosati truly did stand by its warranty. I am impressed!

They arrived on time, did the job and finished in less then a day. They cleaned up after they finished and I could find nothing in the house or outside that they missed. I could not think of anything they could have done differently.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced five windows. Windows were casment style which were replaced with double hung windows. Also replaced Patio Sliding Door. All work was done right the first time, and the workers were very professional. They did have a person come out a few days later to make sure everything was OK and he did find two screws that were the wrong size and he took care of that. I would never have noticed it.

Overall, the service was satisfactory except for the things noted before. The installers were professional and appearred to be very competent.
Description of Work: We ordered new windows for our home in Nov. 2010. We were told it would be 7-10 weeks before installation. It took over 13 weeks and only after my wife called to see what the problem was. They came out the next day to install the windows. It was 25 degrees and snow was on the ground. They were done in about 6 hours. The only other problem was a piece or two of siding trim was chipped, but I didn't notice it until the weather was better. Overall, I would say things were done nicely, but no reasons given for the longer wait or why they were able to come out the day after the telephone calls.

As stated in the previous paragraph everything was done in a professional manner with great attention paid to detail, and thorough clean up. What a difference it made in the appearance of our home and the over all comfort. After seeing our windows our next door neighbor asked if I would take her to see the showroom. She was so impressed with the windows she had them replace her old windows too.
Description of Work: We had been researching window companies for some time and after going to Rosati's showroom we were convinced their windows were what we were looking for. The following week one of their sales reps came to the house and went into further detail about the make up and dependability of their product. He then took measurements of all the windows we were going to be replacing. He informed us that one of their installers would come out to verify which windows were to be replaced and to verify all of the measurements. I was impressed with the fact they were so intent on making sure everything was accurate. The sales rep called to verify that the installer had been there and told us it would be about four to six weeks before they would be back to install in order. We had also ordered a replacement front door. Steve told us they would come and install the windows first and then come back the next day and install the new door and jam. Everything they promised they delivered on schedule, with professionalism, and courtesy. They also cleaned up as they worked inside and out.

we needed new doors. they were very responsive with the proposal. when they were first ordered and measured by Rosati, we were told our old hardware would fit. rosati also had the manufacturer come to the home to measure and they also verified that the old hardware would work. when the installers came to put the doors in they said our old hardware would not fit. the hardware they wanted to install was not the quality we had there originally. i thought i was going to lose it because the doors were very expensive, i had asked a lot of questions prior and spent a lot of time with the measurements and ordering. at that point i lost trust in their knowledge. i had to call our locksmith who recognized the problem immediately. altough the outside measurements were correct the inside part of the lock was too short and because the hardware i had was older and not made anymore i couldnt get parts so i had to order new hardware which was another $500.00. the installers came 3 hours late though they did call and said they would be an hour late. they did a great job with the installation but failed to check the doors before they left which was 8 pm at nite. by that time i was not thinking and also did not check the doors. after they left and i was cleaning up i went to open one of the doors and couldnt get it shut. the office was very responsive in getting them back out to correct. it all worked out and the doors are beautiful. given the commercials you see on tv, i wasnt prepared for the length of time of installation and having to supervise the job as closely as i should have and certainly wasnt prepared for the doorhandles to not fit and lock. addendum: I received a call from Mike Rosati after he read the review. He was not satisfied with the outcome as his goal is outstanding customer service. He covered 1/2 the cost of the new hardware to amend the issue. I appreciated his call and concern.

Horrible. We were so excited about their reputation and the quality product that we thought we were going to be receiving. We had 5 companies come out to give us estimates and they were not the lowest estimate by far. We also wanted to support our local economy. Unfortunately, we will not use them ever again. We replaced the windows in our home shortly after the door was installed and they were not ever considered for a quote. No problems with our new windows by the way and we wish we would have used that company for the door. We have learned from our mistake.
Description of Work: My husband and I ordered a sliding glass patio door. A salesperson came out and measured and gave us a quick presentation and then an estimate to start the process. Another person came out to measure again. I did not have a problem with this because it is a larger than normal patio door and I also wanted to make sure that the measurement was taken correctly. About 3 weeks later we received a call and they came out to install the door. They proceeded to cut my existing back door out to fit the new one. The new one did not fit. They put the old one back in and let me know they would be back. The new door finally arrived and they gave me a demo on the locks and sliding procedures etc. I had to call 3 more times for them to come back to fix the lock. On the fourth visit they finally listened and replaced the lock that I had asked them to do in the first place. There was a 2 week period that the door didn't lock at all and would open and close in the locked position. The safety plunger on the bottom of the door still does not work and it has been serviced each time they have been out. On the fourth visit when the technician finally replaced the entire door handle and locking system, he also removed a plastic piece at the bottom of the door that he decided no longer needed to be there. We had cut a stick to fit (to have some sense of security) the bottom of the door. When he removed this piece the stick was too short. He did not ask me, or let me know in any way that he was removing it and why. I found out about 2 hours after he left. The person in the office that sets the appointments was EXTREMELY rude and laughed when I call and said yes, it is me again needing another service visit. This was for setting up the fourth visit to get the door handle fixed. I told her since this is the fourth time to just please send a new lock. She stated that I would have to send the tech to evaluate first and then he would have to schedule again to come out to replace the handle if he felt it needed to be. Needless to say I let her know that if he hasn't deemed it to be broken by now I don't know what else to do to solve this situation besides just replacing the lock. She told me she had to follow procedure and there was nothing she could do and laughed. The tech did replace the handle and my door does lock now, and I also had to have another stick cut for the bottom lock that is still broken. I do not want them in my home ever again.

This job was installed in 2010. My report shows handle became an issue in June of 2012. I am extremely sorry. Sometimes things like this just happen. We did get the handle to finally work properly. Great, perfect from start to finish. Went to the showroom and consulted with rep. We schedule an appointment and he came to the house on-time and did some preliminary measurements and analysis. He then came back to the house and explained the plan in detail. The door had to be custom made and two weeks later it was installed.

We always heard good things about Rosati's service. Started by going to their showroom and speaking with a salesman and spending hours on our own selecting options and calling back for pricing and then more deciding. While we dreaded the process prior, it turned out to be very pleasurable. No pressure sales, excellent assistance and advice with out *any* shenanigans. We even shopped around to verify pricing (they have the best by far). The installation occurred as scheduled, the crew arrived on time and while the weather (heavy rain after the first hour of a five hour install) was less than ideal, these guys were patient and careful with removal of our old entry (door plus sidelights and transom). They even took time to answer my questions during the process as I wanted to understand why they did some things they were doing. The door was installed as far as I can tell absolutely perfectly, no damage had been done to the drywall during the removal so no touch-up was needed after they were done and installed new trim. (I did back-caulk the trim and painted that myself, something you'd hire a painter to do but if you're comfortable with a caulk gun and small paint brush...it's not too difficult...and not required.) Office staff were also good in calling ahead to schedule appointments and calling the day prior to confirm. Everyone we met was consistently courteous and friendly. We had a couple follow-up visits to inspect work and tweak the hardware that came with the door and each time they were either early or right on time, even when given a 2-hour window. I really just can't say enough about how pleased we are. We'd definitely recommend Rosati to replace a front entryway. (We don't have their windows and so can't comment on that.) Can't say enough good about our experience.

The installer arrived a little late. He showed up with the wrong size windows, seems he loaded the wrong order on his trailer. Blamed it on someone at the warehouse. He had to go back to the warehouse and get the correct windows. Returned to my house in about an hour with the correct windows. Said he was having a bad day. He proceeded to do the install very slowly and did quite a it of talking. I felt as though he could have done the job a little faster since it was a small job and he did not run into anything unexpected. I was a little disappointed since Rosati had come so highly recommended by family and friends who had used them in the past. I assumed I was not a high priority since the job was so small but I had expected more from them. Later that evening we were looking at the windows on the exterior and found the windows were not completely caulked. Reported that to Rosati and they sent someone out within a few days and the problem was resolved. I would consider looking for another window company if I need replacement windows in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced two bedroom windows on front of house.

Response from Rosati Windows
I am very sorry that this happened. We are all human and sometimes we make mistakes. Carl is a very good installer. He is very meticulous which might appear to some as slow. He is also a very friendly person. Carl was hired to handle our small jobs which we have quite a few of and consider as important as any other job. Michael Rosati
