Rick was recommended by our interior decorator who had worked with him previously. Rick came out and give us a quote which was fair & reasonable for the job. Rick, Tony and Alonzo showed up the first day at the scheduled time and immediately went to work preparing for the job to be done. They were very accommodating and made it as easy as possible for us to have the full use of our home while they were working. They made sure that our furniture and belongings (including our curious dog) were protected from splatter, etc. and were conscientious in their clean-up each day. When the job had been completed and I had the time to do a thorough inspection, Tony made sure that I was completely satisfied before he left.
Scarci & Son did a fabulous job and we are totally satisfied with their quality and workmanship. They pointed out some things that really needed to be done and I had missed, and saved me some money by not painting some items that didn't need to be painted. Rick realized that I wouldn't be happy over time with one of the paint finishes that I wanted to use and gave me the opportunity to change my selection before it was too late. This could have been an expensive mistake on my part.
I will be very comfortable recommending Rick Scarci Painting to my friends and neighbors.

Work was excellent. They accommodated our schedule to work on the house while we were away on vacation. When we returned everything was put back the way it was. It was hard to tell that they had been here. Very high quality work and detail oriented.

Tony Scarci and his crew did great work. Removal of the ceiling stipple presented some difficulties, but they managed to step up to all of the challenges. The result is a garage interior that looks like new. Excellent results at a fair price.

He is the best painter that I know. He is timely, courteous, professional, and outstanding. His quality of work is fantastic. If you were painting a professional building or a house, he is the person that you would want in there. He was painting baseboards over a rug with oil paints without any dropcloth or anything, and he didn't make any mess.

Rick and his crew were professional, courteous, and did outstanding work. They were even accommodating when we asked them to repaint a room because we ended up not liking the first color we chose. They quoted us a fair price to repaint the room ($150 plus materials). Rick has a much more critical eye than we do -- he asks his crew to go back and touch up spots where we never noticed a problem to begin with. This is the second time we've had Rick do interior painting and we highly recommend him to anyone who asks.

They arrived promptly at 7:00 am on two days, moved furniture to middle of room, covered floors and furniture with drop cloths. They patched, primed, painted, and cleaned up after they were finished. They moved furniture back in place, removed painter's tape, and replaced switch place covers. They were very professional, and the rooms are beautiful!

I received an estimate in February. When the weather was good, the work was scheduled and performed within a few days. The exterior trim was scraped, prepped, powerwashed and painted. The work was done professionally and the results are beautiful.

We initially selected Rick from several painters that we interviewed. We thought he was the best candidate because he seemed trustworthy and committed to doing a good job. Now, we have several issues with Rick Scarci Painting. First, he did not do the work he said he would. The shutters and downspouts were never removed from our house. Therefore, it was impossible for him to power wash the surfaces under those areas let alone paint there. The areas under the shutters are possibly the dirtiest areas. Insects made their nests under there and years of dirt and grime have built up. In fact, in a couple spots, Rick simply painted right over wasp nests. Next, he deceived us by not informing us of his intention to leave the shutters on the house while painting. We returned home one day while Rick’s crew was painting the front of our house. The shutters were still up. We asked Rick’s son if they were going to remove the shutters and he told us that they would. That never happened. Next, he lied to us on the phone about removing the downspouts. Again, it’s clear that they were never removed. Next, Rick’s quote was based on using 3 colors to paint our house. He talked us out of that, and we settled on using 2 colors instead. This saved Rick’s crew a lot of time since they didn’t have to mask the areas where we were planning to paint a third color. However, Rick did not lower his price for this change. Finally, Rick charged us extra when he had to buy more paint. Apparently, it took more paint than he had estimated. We paid the extra charge, but Rick eventually returned $75.00 when we asked him if we could use a coupon from Angie’s List. He explained that the coupon was supposed to be presented up front, so instead of the full 10% discount, he returned the amount we paid for the extra paint.

"Scarci and Son is a four generation business with an impeccable record. We have all A report cards and have numerous repeat customers. The member has several complaints that add up to about $75 in labor, which is exactly the amount we returned to her. I tried to take her shutters down personally and the first two I worked on were old and damaged. Forcing the removal of shutters that are broken or cracked can result in breaking the shutters. We made the decision then to leave them on so that they would not break. What the members do not realize is that this actually made it more difficult to paint the shutters and the siding because of the intricate brush work. We wasted a significant amount of time on the shutters. Removing a few shutters takes less than an hour. Painting the siding behind the shutters would have been easier. Spraying the shutters on the ground and simply putting them back on the house would have been even easier. We were trying to save them from having to buy new shutters. Not communicating these sentiments to the customer at the time was a mistake, but not a dishonest or deceitful action which has been implied by the member. She believes that she should have received 10%% off for her membership. She failed to mention her membership at the time of the estimate or during the course of the job. Several days after we were paid, she asked for the discount. We thought about this and decided to return a check for $75.00 in the best interest of business. The member has repeatedly called into question my father's honesty with high-handed accusations. Frankly this is the reason why we will never return to their house to do work that would take a few hours. I am very proud of our company and of my father Rick. We are not above making a mistake, but we have never deceived a customer. The strong majority of our customers would agree that Scarci and Son is one of the premium painting companies in central Ohio. - Anthony Scarci, Foreman"

They are very good. They can come in here and I can leave and feel comfortable with them here without me. They do excellent work and clean up after themselves. They come out and give an estimate on time and price and he's always right on target. He's punctual, but if he has to make a change he'll let you know.

Excellent work. They worked on the walls until they were perfectly smooth; they even caulked around the crown molding. The finished product is beautiful. I think it's the attention to detail that sets his work apart.

Rick and his crew were always punctual and worked steadily and efficiently on the job until it was done. Their work was top-notch. The quality of their wallpapering was the best I have seen - all the edges and joints were straight and tight. No overlaps, no gaps.

VERY COMPETITIVELY PRICED. THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY WAS ON THE JOB EVERY DAY. DID NOT SUB-CONTRACT WORK OUT. VERY COOPERATIVE WHEN I CHANGED COLORS OR ADDED ADDITIONAL AREAS ON THE HOUSE TO PAINT. VERY NEAT. USED DROP CLOTHS TO PROTECT OUR HARDWOOD FLOORS. PICKED UP ALL THEIR TRASH WHEN THEY LEFT. ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS WITH THIS COMPANY. WE WILL HAVE THEM BACK TO DO ADDITIONAL WORK IN THE FUTURE.

THEY DID A VERY NEAT JOB & CLEANED UP WHEN FINISHED. THEY WERE ON SITE EARLY EVERY MORNING. RICK EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THAT THEY WERE DOING AND ALSO OTHER MAINTENANCE ITEMS HE SAW... VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES WHATSOEVER. VERY PLEASED WITH THE JOB AND THE COST.
